After a diagnosis of Fybromialgia I was at a loss of what direction to go. I have a physical job, and need to continue working, but wasn't getting anywhere with Western Medicine solutions. I started seeing Kelly every other week with good results. A friend gave me the gift of weekly massage for 1 month, and that made all the difference. I have since committed to getting a massage weekly, and have been experiencing much greater relief from my Fybro symptoms. Kelly incorporates Ayurvedic healing oils that have helped me immensely.

She is such a wonderfully and caring person and truly cares about trying to help you. She sat with me for quite awhile trying to assess me and help me figure out what's going on with my body. She came up with a specialized plan just for me and my body to help me better myself and my health. After our assessment interview she gave me, by far, the best massage I have ever had in my entire life! I traveled 2 1/2 hours to see her and it was worth every minute. I had been seeing different doctors for over a year and Kelly was the one who finally got us headed on the right track to finding out the real problem! She still checks up with me to see how I'm doing and making sure that I'm on the right track. I hope that I can come back soon and see her again. I recommend that anyone go see her for any sort of issue you may have. She really listens to you and truly tries to help you.

This 4 star resort/spa left more to be desired but also had some perks that heightened the overall…read moreexperience for me in a way that I would come back under certain circumstances. The Good: *Received a deal thru chase points *Hiking trails located on the property made it easy to plan a relaxing weekend without needing to drive. I enjoyed both trails, the redwoods were beautiful and healing. It would probably be good for corporate/team building excursions, especially with the ropes course, but that would require extra reservations. We walked by the ropes course on our hike but its normally closed without staff to facilitate. *Spa facilities were great (included steam room, sauna, and 3 hot tubs on the property. the gym was also quite large) There's a hot tub located in the spa area which also has a nice koi pond. locker rooms and showers are easy to use. *Check in is early at 4pm, and I was able to do a late checkout at 12pm. if you're only staying for one night, definitely come early so you can enjoy their spa facilities to the max. *2 large pools, one for adults and kids. the pool area in general is quite large with cabanas for lounging *beautiful more secluded property, with lots of open space *bathrobes provided in the room *courteous staff, especially the night security Victor was very attentive and accommodating. I would come back when he's working! *the smart temperature settings in my room was quite effective and easy to use. I liked the interface alot. *dog friendly! enjoyed greeting all the other pups staying on the property *nice indoor & outdoor lounge areas & outdoor sports available, like tennis & bocce ball *the view restaurant does boast live music during certain times The not so good: *the room facilities itself looked tired and outdated. the bathtub had black on the tiles *expected more extras included out this price point. Not much in terms of toiletries and coffee/tea, although the coffee machine was quite clean and new. *our "patio" didn't have any privacy because it overlooked the side of the pool and did not have any wall. So if we kept our patio screen curtains open, there was no privacy. *the room itself was also smaller than expected, for the price tag. *the View restaurant/bar closes at 9pm which seems quite early for an all inclusive bar. We opted for dinner out in Capitola (which was clearly the right choice) and I was hoping to come back and enjoy the hotel bar & view afterwards but everything was sadly closed. The nice security staff Victor came to pick me up in his golf cart and still allowed me to go outside for a bit just to sit and enjoy the view but it was dark with nothing to see, nothing to drink, and no one to socialize with. We came back the next day during the afternoon for a snack. The reviews said the view was better than the food, but tbh the view was also subpar imo. The restaurant is located on the top of a hill, which provides a good vantage point, but the view itself feels like the "back" of Santa cruz so it just wasn't much to look at. The nicer patio area of the outdoor restaurant area with lights and such was closed off for "private events" so I couldn't even take some nice photos there. The food was definitely not worth the prices, and service was quite slow. There was so much staff inside, but only one helping us sitting outside. *parking is $20 a night but they do have tesla chargers *the foodtruck next to the pool area was never open during our stay Overall, I would come back using my chase points, bring a pup with me, opt for a room with more privacy, and probably spend half my time at the spa.

I really wanted to love this resort. My parents stayed here a couple decades ago when I graduated…read morein the area, so I had great memories of it, and was excited to stay for a milestone birthday weekend. Unfortunately, the stay was disappointing. While the furnishings have been recently updated, the property still felt very run down. Our room had a very strong chemical smell from the moment we arrived. I texted the front desk (there are no phones in the rooms), and they sent maintenance over. He agreed the smell was strange and thought it was coming from the mini fridge, which they replaced. Unfortunately, the smell remained for the entire weekend. It was to the point where my husband and I just said "ugh" every time we entered the room and immediately opened the screen door to try and air it out. We were told they couldn't move us because the hotel was fully booked, which I understand. What I don't understand is why there was no other solution or even any compensation offered for having to stay in a room that smelled strongly of something acrid all weekend. The next day, we also discovered a few dozen of ants on the counter around the bathroom sink. They were gone by that evening, but it was still pretty gross. There were some smaller disappointments, too: the TV offered streaming but wasn't connected to the internet, the bathtub initially ran rust-colored water from the tub faucet (the shower water was clear), and my husband's steak at the onsite restaurant arrived cold. We ultimately just tolerated everything and got through the weekend because there wasn't much else we could do. I don't expect a hotel to be perfect, and things go wrong. But especially for the prices, it was pretty bad and no one offered any solutions other than "the smell should get better now that the fridge is changed out" (it didn't). I was genuinely excited to stay here, so it's a shame that the experience fell so far short of expectations.

She was so great with my 8 year old daughter explaining things and correcting positions as we went along. I really liked her balance of the physical and spiritual side of yoga. Having spent a honeymoon in Bali the ambiance of the property was a real treat. We look forward to revisiting her when in the area.

Ann is very warm, kind, and caring and this shows through in her instruction and classes. Ann has been a top notch yoga instructor for decades and has focused solely on yoga, even traveling abroad for yoga every year. Ann's experience and reputation draw great students to her class that encourage and help each other. Ann also shares her vast knowledge of yoga and its history and tidbits during class to give context to the poses and why we do them. Ann constantly checks to make sure that you are doing the poses safely so you won't get injured. She is very detailed in her directions and comes over and uses her hands and feet to adjust you. You can't get that kind of hands on instruction these days. I'm amazed at the progress I have made with Ann by attending her classes once a week for the last few years. I highly recommend her classes and have heard great things about her yearly trip to Bali with her students. I've even started attending classes twice a week now. Lilly
