After a diagnosis of Fybromialgia I was at a loss of what direction to go. I have a physical job, and need to continue working, but wasn't getting anywhere with Western Medicine solutions. I started seeing Kelly every other week with good results. A friend gave me the gift of weekly massage for 1 month, and that made all the difference. I have since committed to getting a massage weekly, and have been experiencing much greater relief from my Fybro symptoms. Kelly incorporates Ayurvedic healing oils that have helped me immensely.

She is such a wonderfully and caring person and truly cares about trying to help you. She sat with me for quite awhile trying to assess me and help me figure out what's going on with my body. She came up with a specialized plan just for me and my body to help me better myself and my health. After our assessment interview she gave me, by far, the best massage I have ever had in my entire life! I traveled 2 1/2 hours to see her and it was worth every minute. I had been seeing different doctors for over a year and Kelly was the one who finally got us headed on the right track to finding out the real problem! She still checks up with me to see how I'm doing and making sure that I'm on the right track. I hope that I can come back soon and see her again. I recommend that anyone go see her for any sort of issue you may have. She really listens to you and truly tries to help you.

Miguel Lopez was so helpful and reliable, he quickly came in to check in on our remote control & even the next day still came in to check in on us. He made sure my mom and daughter were doing fine in our suite!! As for the main lobby & conference staff from the Chaminade, wow. Eddie was the best!! He went a step beyond to make sure that we always had snacks stocked but all of our creamer and sugar for coffee because you know, teachers!! I cannot recommend this place enough!

The property is set on beautiful grounds with real potential, which made it all the more frustrating that the hospitality and room quality could not keep up with the price tag. I want to start with the one person who got it right. Our server Maddy at The View was genuinely wonderful, attentive without hovering, warm without being scripted. She made our dinner feel like a celebration. The kitchen, on the other hand, delivered food that felt average for what a resort at this level charges. Everything outside of Maddy's orbit was a letdown. We told the front desk it was our anniversary and got nothing back, not a word, not a gesture. We had sent a note before our trip introducing ourselves and it was never answered. Check-in itself was cool and impersonal. Not hospitable. We had to ask to move rooms because our first one was loud from a nearby exterior door. The second room had bugs (I have photos), an air conditioning unit that could not keep the space cool, and a generally tired feel to the furnishings. Toilet was also not working properly. After already asking to switch rooms once, the front desk energy made it clear that further feedback was not welcome, so we just stopped saying anything and tried to enjoy what we could. That is the real issue I want to flag for anyone reading this. It was not any single problem that defined the stay. It was the feeling that raising concerns was an inconvenience rather than an opportunity for the team to make things right. For a resort charging these rates for couples celebrating milestones, that disconnect between price and care is worth knowing about before you book.

She was so great with my 8 year old daughter explaining things and correcting positions as we went along. I really liked her balance of the physical and spiritual side of yoga. Having spent a honeymoon in Bali the ambiance of the property was a real treat. We look forward to revisiting her when in the area.

Ann is the best ! We are fortunate to have someone of this high caliber right here in Santa Cruz. Ann is very warm, kind, and caring and this shows through in her instruction and classes. Ann has been a top notch yoga instructor for decades and has focused solely on yoga, even traveling abroad for yoga every year. Ann's experience and reputation draw great students to her class that encourage and help each other. Ann also shares her vast knowledge of yoga and its history and tidbits during class to give context to the poses and why we do them. Ann constantly checks to make sure that you are doing the poses safely so you won't get injured. She is very detailed in her directions and comes over and uses her hands and feet to adjust you. You can't get that kind of hands on instruction these days. I'm amazed at the progress I have made with Ann by attending her classes once a week for the last few years. I highly recommend her classes and have heard great things about her yearly trip to Bali with her students. I've even started attending classes twice a week now. Lilly
