So last fall when I needed a simple hair trim, I made a same day appointment with Amanda at the Edge Salon. Apparently she was the only one with an opening. I courteously showed up 10 minutes early and ended up waiting over 25 minutes to be seen because she was "waxing" someone. I sure hope she washed her hands in-between clients!!! Keep in mind this was the first time I'd seen or met Amanda. She was very unprofessional; nosy about my personal life (what was the name of the company I worked for, exactly where in Taylor did I live, was I married, who was my husband, how many kids did I have). I really took offense to her forceful & prying questions considering we had just met. Back to the hair trim. I had long straight hair, which you wouldn't think would be that hard to cut. Apparently that's not the case because it came out completely crooked and I had to fix it myself once I got home. Waste of money. If Amanda still works there, I wouldn't recommend her. I have heard good things about other stylists at the Edge Salon though, so don't write them off. Just avoid her!

Soaked my face and not once offered a towel or an apology. Yanked the comb through my wet hair and tried to blow dry my hair with the same comb. While the staff members are kind, it seems they force their own idea of what you should do with your hair onto you. After the first time of them doing that to me earlier this year, I thought "maybe it was just this stylist?" so I went again recently. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. My bangs were cut shorter than I asked, and they are very obviously crooked. It has ruined 4 special events that I was part of this week. I didn't even want to go to one I had today, just because I was embarrassed of how all my photos were turning out with such a terrible haircut. ---------- I went in and asked for my bangs to just be shaped - no dramatic length change. I was at a loss of words whenever I was turned around to look at my reflection and see that I got something completely different from what I had asked. The stylist seemed excited, and I just looked at her in disbelief. She asked if I wanted her to change anything, but you can't paste hair back on, so I mustered out a stoic "no"...didn't want more of my hair to be butchered off. Hair grows back, I get that, but I specifically went here to get my bangs shaped for special events that I knew I was going to be photographed multiple times for. Little did I know it was going to ruin my memory of each one.
