When we came back to our room, both the tumbler and straw were removed. This tumbler was brand new and unused. Upon talking to the front desk, they told us that the cup was taken by housekeeping for disposal. The cup was placed out of the way, brand new, and still in its packaging. The front desk explained to us that it was their policy to throw out any plastic cups, whether they were used or unused, but there were several used plastic cups provided by the hotel that were left in the bathroom by housekeeping and not cleaned up. Be wary of your belongings while staying at this location because housekeeping WILL touch your personal belongings and remove them from the room!

We needed to stay two nights. The total cost was $440 USD. Given the level of quality of this hotel, I was very dissatisfied. I won't go into the things that were substandard, these have been mentioned by other reviewers. Nonetheless, if this hotel were to lower its rates to what it truly is, a two star hotel, then It would be an okay choice. I had a bad first impression of the front desk person. I came early to inquire if I could check in early, the answer was "no" -- understandable. But when I asked if there was a bathroom I could use the answer was no. That is unacceptable; if you are staying at a $200/night hotel, one is expecting certain amenities in the lobby or common area where the breakfast is offered. I would say, the room we got was clean, the water was hot, the towels were clean and in good condition, the air conditioning worked although noisy, and the room was quiet. I did not try the breakfast. Upon check out, I had a different front desk person who was very friendly.

The traffic will suddenly get very LOUD every 5-15 minutes. Noisy rumbling from trucks, thundering from motorcycle gangs and the popping of modified-muffler vehicles continues all night long. The traffic noise rattles the windows and shakes the walls. It was so loud it felt like there was a jet flying low over my head every 10 minutes! After trying to sleep for several hours, only to be woken up every 5 to 15 minutes by the walls and bed shaking, I finally gave up. It was 12:45am when I called the front the desk asking for a quieter room and was told that they were fully booked. [Aside: I originally requested a quiet room.... However, they tricked me when I checked in saying "because you requested a quiet room we are going to upgrade you". This made it sound like they were giving me a quiet room when in reality they were giving me the last room they had available. Had I known they were giving me a room closer to the road and that the road noise didn't subside at night I wouldn't have stayed here to begin with. I would have been better off just sleeping in my car!] I was forced to leave at 1am and find a quieter place to sleep. I got a very poor night's sleep and was pretty much a zombie the entire next day. It ruined a once-in-a-decade trip. I requested a refund because I was only in the room for a few hours and because they misled me to believe I was getting a quiet room. They refused. I was forced to pay for a room that I did not use or find useful. I'm hoping others will AVOID this place. If you're thinking you'll get a good night's sleep here, you might want to just get a sleeping bag and stretch out somewhere, saving yourself hundreds of dollars....
