Shank, there is a story there, was our friendly bartender bartender this evening. It's a great place to absorb local culture and meeting unique personalities. Drinks are reasonably priced. There is a pool table for your entertainment and of course a contemporary juke box for your listening pleasure, when they don't have live music. Go grab a drink and mix with the locals you'll definitely have an experience and a good time.

The day we went was surprisingly busy because of course it was their 20th anniversary celebrations and we had no idea! Even with it being incredibly busy things came out quickly! I got to try a peach slushy margarita thingy (I forget the cute name) and that was delicious and refreshing! All the food was delicious and well made! My husband really enjoyed the burger and commented how much he liked the meat mix. The server was a delight, and all around it was a good choice to stop by! Even though they're still finalizing some of the interior and decor, the space looks fantastic--you can tell they have a strong vision, and it's coming together beautifully. We enjoyed a couple of cold, refreshing beers and had the chance to chat with the owners, who were incredibly friendly and eager to share their plans. There's a food menu coming soon and an outdoor patio area in the works, which we're really looking forward to. It's the kind of locally owned, community-focused place Kernville needs, and we're so glad we stopped in. Can't wait to see what's next for The Tipsy Deer--we'll definitely be back!

I headed to the meat department too many choices. I decided on 2 habanero and 2 black pepper chicken kebabs to barbecue and a 6 pack of carnation drumsticks for dessert. We watched upstairs since my under-21 daughter was with me. They not only made sure the TV worked, but adjusted the music so we could hear the game, came up to make sure we were comfortable, and were just super kind. When I cashed out they asked about the game, when the U.S. was playing next, and just generally about how I was enjoying the cup. Super super nice people. Good beer selection, didn't charge my daughter for soda refills, and just a generally perfect experience. They let us bring food from one of the local burger spots too.
