What a good cigar and pipe shop. I have seen many shops that either have lots of Cigars or lots of Pipe items. This is the first that was almost 50/50 I was very impressed. I stopped in here after pulling in next door at the coffee shop. I was very impressed with this shop. I will gladly come back here. They are all very knowledgeable about every cigar they sell. I bought several cigars while here. They also had vape supplies. I will gladly come back to this store and buy in the future. read more

If you are looking for cigars, pipe tobacco or accessories such as your humidor look no further than the wharf. One of the largest selections of cigars and pipe tobaccos I have ever seen. The staff there is fantastic and extremely knowledgeable in all of there inventory. Whether you are a novice or an aficionado. These guys (and girls) are top notch and there customer service is spectacular. They have a lounge to smoke in and you are welcome to bring your own adult beverages. Definitely my favorite hang out in Beavercreek. The staff are friendly, efficient, and make for interesting, genuine conversation. The Wharf isn't just a cigar lounge either, if you smoke a pipe you'll find a pretty even mix of pipe tobacco and pipes compared to the cigars on offer. One criticism (one that's not really worth taking the review down to 4 stars) is that their public and private lounge have an age standard to get in. The private lounge is available to members and anyone who spends $10 or more at the store, but has a standard of having to be 21 or over to enter. You are allowed to bring and drink alcohol to the store if you're in that lounge so it's understandable, but sometimes makes the public lounge a bit lonely. Still, that definitely won't affect whether or not I go there to hangout or buy some more tobacco. read more

If you doubt this, just look at the tobacco stained white beard of the man who owns the store... he'll tell you about any cigar you care to know about. On the plus side it's a decent place to smoke a cigar but would be a lot better if they would increase the ventilation. They have a very tired selection of cigars and the humidor is so spread out. The people are nice but you can't touch the cigars as they are all on shelves behind these long counters. Its sort of like they are watching you closely or expecting you to steal something. The cigars are the tired brands like Perdomo, Rocky Patel. I've never seen any of the newer cutting edge releases like you find at a place like Serious Cigars. For Dayton this place may be about as good as it gets, but overall it's lacking. read more

huhe HUGE cigar selection. They are so friendly and knowledgeable here. My husband loves this place. They have the biggest cigar selection in the Midwest. The owner and workers are great ! They have a private room in the back allowing you to smoke cigars where I assume the men hide out while their spouses shop at nearby stores! They can answer any questions about cigars. By far the largest selection of cigars anywhere we have been. They have a huge reputation for being the biggest selection in midwest. If you haven't been here, you should go. This is a great shop. They have a great selection of top brands. If you are a regular (like me) they greet you by name. And if you are not a regular, they are still extremely friendly and helpful. The staff is very well informed and will suggest an excellent match to your taste. If you are buying a cigar for a friend they will find the perfect cigar. The Wharf has a great selection of smokes of ALL kinds - including their own line of cigars. A relaxing place to have a smoke, but you will absolutely reek of smoke when you leave - not something I have experienced at other smoke shops I have visited. A bit untidy, sure, BUT I think this is exactly what a cigar shop should be! The staff has always been very friendly and knowledgable, and I appreciate being recognized & remembered when I walk in, even though there are often months in-between my visits. Meticulously staffed by genuinely friendly experts, the Wharf is scrupulously apportioned with a stunning array of cigars. What you want is here, even if you don't know what it is yet, and the guys will help you find it even so! The store has a great ambiance, unique and welcoming; like if Orville and Wilbur had started as cigar makers instead of bicycle makers! If you are a cigar or pipe smoker this place has got one of the best selections of tobacco. I went here looking for a pipe cabinet but they don't stock them. They did have a nice selection of humidors. The place is large and a bit untidy but they are under renovations which includes updating their lounge area. They also have a selection of the higher end cigarettes. read more

I go here at least twice a month to just sit and enjoy a good cigar. One of the few places in Ohio you can smoke in. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Large selection of tobacco of all varieties. The only thing I wish they had was more leather seating area instead of crappy chairs and tables. Stopped in to get my husband a pipe for Fathers Day. Was taken under the wing of Tyler who listened, taught and inspired my choices. He put together a lovely "starter kit" and placed it in a cigar (as gift) box. What a personal touch. I don't know much in the way of pipe shops but there is no need to look further. At checkout he remembered that I'd mentioned my husband is a police officer and asked me to thank him for his protection...and offered a discount to really show his appreciation.
