Amazing smells, amazing staff... were it not for the less amazing prices I think my flat might be full of this stuff! But then most of it isn't the type of stuff you buy for yourself - well at least I don't. And I don't think many people wake up in the morning thinking hey, I need to go shopping for a bespoke fragranced scent diffuser for the living room table. When you're shopping for a present for a friend who's just bought a new house though, this kind of stuff is perfect. And when you've just hopped off the eurostar from a work trip to Paris and have about half an hour before you meet said friend, this location is a godsend.
This store mostly displays their fragrance collections and accessories as I think it's geared towards gift-shoppers, though also stocks some of the homewares such as bedsheets, throws and towels, and yes predominantly white as the name suggests. The staff offer to help you and indeed I overheard an amusing conversation between a girl from the shop and a guy choosing a present for his wife. After sniffing my way across most of the shelves I settled on a gorgeously fresh-smelling White Lavender candle. I ignored the voices in my head saying '£20 for a candle?!' (that sounded suspiciously like my mother) as I was happy to spend it on a treat like this as I know this girl would never spend it on herself. Either that or all the aromas had gone straight to my head.
Nice surprise at the till as the lovely lady asked about my day, and after I gave her my email address to sign up for their mailing list they also gave me 10% off! Useful info for the next time you splurge here. They also do a lovely job of gift-wrapping in tissue paper and providing a cute (and sturdy) little gift bag, which definitely helped impress my friend (though it helped that more importantly she loved the smell too!). read more
