She was so kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. She really encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone in the best way, without ever making me feel pressured. I felt completely supported and comfortable the entire time. Honestly, she was so amazing that I wish I could have said yes to a dress there just because of her! That's how great the experience was. My niece called ahead to make sure they had options in her style and size. They assured her they had plenty of options and so we went ahead with booking the Appt and she paid the $30 appt. fee. So, when we arrived, the options were very limited and they did not have what they said they had! My niece left deflated,upset and in tears for wasting everyone's time and commute to get there (she had 3 family members who drive over an hr) When she called to discuss her frustration, they did not offer a refund even though only 1 dress was tried on. Let me start off by saying I wish I could give more stars. The white room was the first place I was going to try and wedding dresses and they completely took away a special once in a lifetime opportunity for me. I understand Covid protocol, but I is a bride was not even allowed to take my mask off to see what I would look like in my wedding dress on my wedding day. I sent over nine very specific suggestions of dresses that I wanted to try on from their Pinterest boards and none of which were on the rack for me to Try on once I showed up. I expressed that my budget was less than $2000 and for some reason I was trying on dresses that were $4500 or more. Once I saw the price tags I decided I was not going to be purchasing my dress from the shop no matter how much I liked it because they were just trying to upsell me instead of giving me what I had asked for. Not only was my 90 minute appointment cut down to 60 minutes, but when we called five minutes after leaving asking if I would be able to buy a dress off the rack, the girl Abby who was helping me was already in another appointment. Mind you I was only allowed to try on 6 dresses. I the bride was given an attitude when I asked to try on a dress with a veil. The woman Abby who helped me out did not ask me how I met my fiancé, when we got engaged, or who my guests were watching me try on dresses. When my mom asked what the turnaround time was on a dress she would not give a straight answer and instead was rude to my mother. Two rounded out, the only question to Abby asked me was if I had tried on any other dresses before and what other shops I was going to. She can take the time to help me slide in and out of dresses. She rushed me when putting them on even though I want to take my time looking at myself in private before hearing the opinions of others. When I asked to try on one of the dresses a second time I was given an attitude. If I were somebody looking for dresses in middle Tennessee, I have many other suggestions that I would recommend a Nashville before ever going to the white room again. read more

The women that run this place are absolute trash! I was looking for a dress for an upcoming event, and as I was passing by the fitting room, I over heard the staff whispering about a customers size. And.... NOT IN A GOOD WAY!! The customer looked to be a high-school girl, and was definitely NOT big at all. She was medium size build I would say, and The staff made several comments while this girl was trying in some prom dresses. I was absolutely shocked at how they treated this girl. This girl wasn't even plus size. Like seriously??? I just couldn't believe my eyes, they completely broke that girls heart and she ran out of the store crying. I felt sooo bad for her. Let me just start with DO NOT use this company. 1st thing- My wedding dress was in for a month, no one called to tell me. finally I called to check and see where it was, I was told it had been picked up a month ago. It was NOT. Finally the girl "found" it hanging in the back. 2nd thing- my maid of honor goes and gets fitted for her dress, she is a size 0. They go to get her dress and get it altered (she also had to call and find out if it was in, because no one called her either) She is in GA, however same company. She gets there and it's a size 4. They had to order a WHOLE NEW DRESS, here we are 4 days till the wedding when her dress finally came in. 3rd thing- I am putting two of my other brides maids dresses in for our trip (LITERALLY PACKING) and notice they are two totally different colors. tags both say biscotti, but very clearly one is Quartz and one is biscotti. LIVID. i call and they tell me not to worry, they'll order the dress in the right color and have it shipped to the store we're going to be by in FL, that she called and talked to them and that they knew what was going on. THIS MORNING 2 days before we leave, my MIL gets a call from the FL store that there's no way they'll have a dress that fast, and that no one even called like I was told. Nightmare. Now I have a bridesmaid that will be in the WRONG color for my wedding. I am so upset. I will make sure and tell all my friends, family and will make a social media post as well to warn others. I had such a great experience here! They have a nice selection of dresses in a range of prices and my sales associate Meghan was SOOO fantastic. I'm not a sample size, but she pinned and clipped me into each dress I selected. After my appointment here, I went to a second appointment at another shop where I had a really awful experience. I ended up calling the White Room and asking if I could come back to try on my two favorite dresses again. My experience finding the dress at the White Room was great. The girl who helped me look & try on dresses was wonderful! Unfortunately after ordering the dress (and picking the bridesmaid dresses from there as well mind you...) things did not go as smooth. When I picked the bridesmaid dresses I told them I would need a swatch in order to take with me to meet with the florist & cake decorator. A month & a half later I still did not have the swatch and did not have any information about when I might have them. The importance in this is that we're going to see our venue in January and would not be returning until the wedding. I called several times and got poor customer service, many being rude. Still waiting to find out if I will actually get a swatch to take with me when we go to pick out our wedding cake... Luckily the most recent person I spoke with was apologetic, helpful & kind. DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE. i had the worst possible experience and ended up walking out bawling my eyes out. now i'm a medium girl, and these workers made me just genuinely hate the way i looked. they also need to get their whispering about clients while there trying on dresses under control too. i was trying on dresses and none fit, not because i'm fat but because i'm generally a busty girl. and i heard "for bigger girls like that your probably just gonna have to keep going up sizes" or what about when it wouldn't zip over my bust and i heard "yeah i think that dress is done dont force it" which is understandable but the tone it was said in was disrespectful and snarky. your workers caused me to run out of your store crying!!!! and i've seen the owners responding about coming in for a free consultatio DO NOT BOTHER. i will never step foot in your store again and will forever tell people to never come hear. i gladly found my prom dress at another place. even the david's bridal people were a million percent better than these women who i could call many names rn but i won't stoop to their level. and the fact it was said by two women!?!? i am just dumbfounded. women should uplift other women not say stuff to bring them down!! my experience was horrid. i left without even saying anything. you people are terrible honestly. and i have to give you a star or i can't post i would gladly give you zero. read more

The day a woman searches for her perfect wedding dress should be a memorable experience. It certainly is a day my daughter will never forget. The staff at The White Room were so rude to her. My daughter wanted her Grandmother, her mother and her Matron of Honor to help her pick the perfect dress. Upon our arrival we were told that she could only have two people with her. I said I would wait outside and her Matron of Honor and I would switch off. We were rudely told that was against their policy. I could understand if the place was crowded but there were only two other brides-to-be in the store. The staff had her in tears! When she lowered her mask to wipe the tears away, she was very rudely told that the mask must be over her nose and mouth at all times while in the store. To top it off the girl assisting in the fitting room started to lecture my daughter about "having policies for a reason". Totally uncalled for! If I could give this store zero stars I would. Shame on all of you. You are in the business to make a woman's wedding a happy occasion. You failed miserably. read more

I was a bridesmaid in a destination wedding where the bride lived in TX, bridesmaids were in TN, IL, and MI. As a plus sized woman- the largest in the bridal party, I was nervous about the possibilities of the desired dress. Thankfully, the bride chose a dress that came in a large array of sizes and if desired, could be ordered online. The prospect of online shopping made me nervous so I began researching local stores. I called the White Room (Jan 2011) and was greeted by a very knowledgeable employee who invited me in. I voiced my concerns and she very professionally provided me with my options including ordering additional fabric just in case I required alterations. I ordered the dress and was called two months later when it arrived. Nervously, I ventured to the store with shape wear in place to try on the dress, assuming it would not fit. By this time, I had already enlisted a seamstress who was affiliated with the store and planned to meet me, and other customers she was working with that day, at the store. Well, after all of that, the dress fit!!! I needed all the compliments from the employees that day and they made me feel so great. So that extra fabric was orchestrated into a beautiful shawl for an evening June, Mexican wedding. My only suggestion for a potential- non prom shopper, don't go in the end of March or April- the place is a complete madhouse of teenagers. But through it all, when I visited at the beginning of April, the customer service was great. read more

Prom dress shopping on a Saturday in late February.... Pros: Helpful, courteous employees who bring the dresses to you, help you get zipped up, and put everything back. Good selection, prices comparable to stores of this kind Seemed like they may have a payment plan option (not sure because we didn't actually buy anything). CONS: Major con for me is the layout of the store - there is NO place to sit while you wait for a dressing room during prom season except in your car as I did. There is NO place to sit while you watch your daughter try on dresses. The mirrors are not big enough for more than 1 girl at a time to view their dress. I have never understood why retails shops that cater to teens don't make the experience better for the parent. Maybe they don't want you to linger...but there's more chance of me buying something if I'm relaxed, feeling patient and comfortable; having to stand awkwardly in a store crowded with teens, moms and plastic coated gowns doesn't make me feel any of those emotions. I asked one of the employees why they don't have seating and she said that they used to, but kids would play on it, and then adults couldn't sit, and then it got old so they got rid of it. Seriously?? This store could benefit from a professional space planner helping them figure out the best layout for more or larger mirrors, as well as some seating. Trying on prom dresses is generally not a quick process, and it is simply crazy to me that they don't have ANY - and I mean ANY - place to sit on the prom side of the store!!! read more

Once you wade through the sequined sea of prom dresses in the first room (barf), a serene bridal room awaits. It was at this point during my visit earlier this year that I started to really feel like I was getting married! Talen pulled some of my researched picks, in many varied styles, and we (with the help of my close friend) began to fine-tune my wishes with each gown I tried on. I got really excited about the top and overall fit of one dress, but I was bummed because I wanted it in tea-length. "I bet the designer would make you a shorter one at no cost," mused Talen. "Let me call her." And she did call right then and the designer in NYC made my dream grown for the rack price, which I thought was impossible! Talen also sent a sweet, hand-written note the day after I first visited, which confirmed my choice in buying from the White Room. I was so pleased. In the months that followed placing my order (w/ half the money down), however, I never got a phone call from the associates at the White Room to inform me my order was delayed, nor that it had finally shipped. The customer service up to the point-of-sale was much different than that afterward, and I would've appreciated updates while I waited patiently to receive my dress, rather than having to call and beg for this information myself. The dress was set to arrive mid-June, then July, and then it finally arrived in August (after my mom had made a special trip to town for my fitting, in vain). I don't care if it's slow on the DESIGNER's end, and "lots of brides are having to wait this summer," nor do I want to hear "you still have plenty of time." The dress shop is the messenger between the designer and each individual bride, and should duly keep each individual bride informed of any hold-ups in the projected schedule. I was a very low-maintenance bride, so fussy ladies beware: the White Room's lack of follow-through might outweigh the initially positive experience you have there. My dress looked great, but dealing with this business stressed me out in the weeks before the wedding. read more

I had been to the Lebanon White room to get fitted for bridesmaid dresses for my friends wedding and the staff was so nice. To look for my wedding dress we decided to go to the White Room- Murfreesboro first. It was a dream!!! Megan knew I had a budget(a strict budget), I also wanted a dress that would look good cut to tea-length, and I did not want bridal white. She only showed dresses that met that cirteria.. she was such a help. I found my wedding dress after trying on 3 and it was actually under budget. She listened to my in-put and found a dress that was my exact dream! I wanted to give other bridal shops a chance, though. I never expected to find 'the dress' after only trying on three! I went to David's Bridal and also some other wedding boutiques in Murfreesboro- they were miserable!!! Nothing compared to the friendliness and service I received at The White Room. My appointment at The White Room was two weeks ago with Delanie. Each consultant had only one appointment so it was an intimate appointment. I would call myself a "plus size bride" (I'm a strong size 16. Here I was sized for a 20). Although there weren't a variety of sizes for me to see the actual fit of gowns, I was very impressed with the selection that was available for me to try on. I did find a gown I like, however, I found something somewhere else. The staff was very friendly, and the process was smooth sailing. Delanie was very patient and worked with my difficulties as we paired accessories to add the finishing touches to the gown. She even wrote me a personal thank you card! Totally unexpected. I went to the Murfreesboro location (6/23/12). The bridesmaid selection is terrible. They have one small section of probably about 20-25 dresses to look at. The employees weren't very friendly or helpful and one girl just had a flat out bad attitude. It started out with one girl assisting me with trying my dress on. Slowly but surely every employee found a reason to gather around and watch in some shape or fashion. It doesn't take 6 people to ring up one order. It was a turn off. Did they not have anything else to do? I don't know if they thought I was going to steal or what. But I felt uncomfortable. I'm on a tight deadline and pretty much had no choice but to order a dress. I regret my purchase and will tell everybody I know about my experience. After I pick up my dress I'll never be back. read more

The White Room is a great place for Plus Size dresses. My experience was NOT Great when time came to pick up my Mother of The Bride Dress. The consultant brought me my dress on a regular coat hanger with my name on it and just said" Here's your dress" I did not get a receipt nor was anyone accomodating to put it in a nice Signature bag with their advertisement on it, that was on the wall spool behind the counter. There were 3 ladies behind the counter and all of them just stood their. My daughter the bride said after you spent all this money, you did not get a receipt and now everyone has to see The Mother of the Bride walk in with her dress on a regular coat hanger like she got it at a thrift store is unacceptable. So I had to call back and have them mail me a receipt and send a bag. read more

We had an appointment today. My mom is getting married, and although she found a beautiful dress that she wanted to purchase, she didn't. Honestly we are both taken aback by the customer service we received today. I am married, and have tried on wedding dresses in many salons and never would have expected for a store that appears this nice to be so awful. We came in for our appointment and I told the girl that my mom was the bride. The girl actually said "really?!" In a shocked tone. Yes really. My mom didn't want anything super bridal since she's 60 years old and we were directed to the mother of the bride section. Now maybe because they thought they wouldn't be able to squeeze as much money out of her they deemed us not really that important. I was never offered a chair to sit in during the 2 hours we were there. My mom asked for a bottle of water, and although I can understand wanting to protect your dresses, we aren't two year olds, and they brought her tap water from the bathroom in a solo cup?! She was going to spend $1500 on a dress, and you can't give her a bottle of water? She tried dresses on for two hours in a dark room and was never even taken into the big room with bright lighting and appropriate mirrors until the last dress she tried on. Now I assumed they'd have some sort of shape wear for her to try on, Ive been in the best bridal salons and they have it, and no, they didn't. Of course. So I'm not getting married, but my good friend Sarah P. is! So we made the trek one Saturday morning to the White Room in Lebanon. And I must say, I was very impressed with their selection, service, and prices! She made an appointment a few days in advance and when we arrived we were escorted back, through the showroom for the prom wear and other evening gowns, to the bridal area. The walls are lined with beautiful white dresses, grouped by designer. The center of the room has three or four giant stand up mirrors with pedestals in front of them, for standing and looking pretty while wearing pretty dresses. They also have a selection of veils, 'frosting' (I've heard it's what the brides are calling their jewelry these days...), and shoes (dye-able and otherwise). After we arrived, our attendant instructed us to look around at the gown selection and pull the ones that we liked. Sarah P. pulled about seven gowns and they were moved over to her fitting room, where our lovely and personable attendant did lots of zipping her into them And, I dare say, we found a winner! I felt like she received a great amount of attention and the prices for their bridal wear seemed more than reasonable to what I was expecting. I love that they're more of a boutique style store and not a big box o' bridal. If you're looking for a dress for the big day, this is a great place to visit! read more

I had a fantastic experience shopping for my bridal gown at The White Room. My consultant, Chelsea, was incredibly sweet and very helpful. On my first appointment, I went by myself because I wanted to try on some dresses and narrow it down to a few of my favorites. I planned to return in a few weeks with my Mom, who was flying in from Michigan to help me make my final decision. Chelsea never pressured me to buy during that first appointment and was very understanding. She even sent me a handwritten note in the mail thanking me for coming in and specifically mentioned the gowns that were my favorites. It was very personal. And while I did visit two other bridal stores in my search for the perfect dress, none of them topped the gowns I tried on at The White Room. When my mom came to visit, we went back to the White Room. Chelsea already had my top 3 favorite dresses pulled aside and waiting for me in the fitting room. I wound up purchasing a gorgeous Maggie Sottero gown, a rhinestone sash, and veil. I was very pleased with the overall experience and the level of customer service. I also want to mention that I was very impressed with the selection of dresses they had. Not everyone can wear a sample size 10. They had many designer gowns in size 16 and above. I would highly recommend The White Room to any brides out there. My mom even found a gorgeous Mother of the Bride dress, too. read more

If you are searching for your dream wedding gown, I cannot recommend The White Room (Lebanon, TN) enough! When my husband and I got engaged, I started searching online for wedding gowns that I may be interested in. I found that I was most interested in Allure gowns, and I kept track of the style numbers that caught my eye. Next, I called around to some local stores to see which stores had those gowns. To my surprise, it was very difficult to find the gowns! However, the White Room stood apart from the rest by having 4 of the 5 that I absolutely wanted to try. My mother, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law spent an afternoon in Lebanon trying on the gowns. There was one that I liked more than the rest and it was a champagne color. I knew that I loved it, but I just wasn't sure if I could bring myself to buy a dress that wasn't truly white. I could order it in white, but I definitely didn't want to order something that I hadn't seen on me! That's when Celia worked her magic and suddenly appeared with an almost identical dress from Allure's previous season. It was the same dress, but in white and with a satin bodice instead of the lace. Someone had cancelled their order, and it was just by chance that they had this dress on the rack. Luckily, we could still order it in my size. I went to The White Room in Lebanon on Saturday, September 28, 2013, to look fro bridesmaid dresses and help my friend look for bridal gowns. Celia worked with us and she was amazing. The entire staff at TWR was super nice and friendly. We were able to find 3 top bridal gowns for my friend. We also picked out bridesmaids dresses. I recommend this place to every bride.
