If I could give zero stars I would. Honestly you can figure out all you need to know about a place by how they make you feel, and White Dresses made me feel like I didn't matter. I went to try on dresses last weekend at 3 different places. White Dresses was, by far, my worst experience. Actually the only bad experience I have had! For starters, the person working behaved unprofessionally, was unprofessionally dressed (a crop top sweatshirt and yoga pants), and not observing COVID protocols. At every other appointment I went to that day the staff was there to assist me every step of the way. At White Dresses, if I wanted help I had to ask, but even then I felt like I was made to feel as if I was an inconvenience for asking a question. I pulled all of my own dresses from the racks and the person assisting me added no help other than to zip me into my dresses. We asked for the WiFi password so we could FaceTime my mother and aunt who live out of town and the staff member didn't know it and didn't even try to find it for us (minor detail in the grand scheme but there was an attitude exuded when we were taking up a few min to FaceTime my mom). She stood in silence as I tried on dresses, not once offering up a comment or helpful suggestion. It was so awkward it was obvious even to my family members who were on FaceTime. Once I was in a dress she was standing with my next dress waiting for me to be done. I felt so rushed and it very much felt like she had Saturday night plans waiting for her. We had an appointment booked for 1.5 hrs and I was done in 30 minutes. I was incredibly sad leaving my appointment bc White Dresses had several of the brands I wanted to try on, but it was such a bad experience that after I tried on a few I wanted to leave as badly as she wanted me to be gone. If there is any question as to if you want to go here, just read the owners comments to complaints on google reviews and see how many 1 Star reviews there are (oddly enough there hadn't been any reviews in 2 months and then after my friend posted a negative review today--and was met with defensiveness by the owner--there were a handful of five star reviews in a row all within a couple hours... I'll let you be the judge of that, but seems fishy to me). read more

I highly recommend this store!! I came in thinking I knew what I wanted, however with their help and the help of my entourage I was able to find a dress that completely exceeded my expectations. I tried on quite a few dresses thinking I had my top choices, but then they brought in a Martina Liana dress that was drop dead gorgeous. My whole vision changed, and they even picked out a veil that was completely gorgeous. You tell them what you are looking for, and their wheels just start turning. I recommend coming in with an open mind, because they picked out a dress that I never thought I would be open to but once I put it on it was everything I imagined and more! You can tell that they know what fits well on what type of body. I am a bit curvy, and they made me feel so comfortable and just really gave me such a wonderful experience. Kara the owner was absolutely amazing! She was very patient and helped pick out some amazing dresses for me to try on! We went for the Hayley Paige trunk show. I tried on a dress that I fell in LOVEEEEEE with and the trunk show ended that day and she was supposed to send the dresses back the next day. She held the dress for 2 days so my grandmother could see the dress! She also stayed late after closing to do the fitting and the paperwork so we could order the dress.. She was absolutely amazing! I ended up finding my dress elsewhere, but absolutely loved the experience here and would recommend it to anyone I know looking for a wedding dress. They were very patient with me, allowing me to try on about 10-15 dresses and some more than once. I loved that they already had a selection of dresses picked out for me that they had chosen based on my price range and Pinterest board. No other places I saw that day were so well organized! They're staff was super nice and personable, and did not put pressure on me into making a decision. I especially appreciated how awesome they were when it came to them helping me change between gowns as this can be really awkward at first. Overall, It was a super relaxed and no-stress experience, and I love that they only have one bride in at a time! Don't waste your time, Would not recommend shopping here. We went shopping here for my best friends wedding dress. When we showed up, the assistant stood around and watched us pick out dresses, not even offering to help. Furthermore, after PAYING for a appointment (the only place in Nashville that makes you pay for a wedding dress appointment) she limited the amount of dresses we could try on to 7. The assistant had no comments while trying on dresses and was the least bit helpful as we decided a wedding dress. Finally, the assistant working at the boutique was wearing, (I can't make this one up) a CROPPED sweatshirt, leggings, and running sneakers, this is by far what I imagined would greet me at a high end, luxury wedding dress boutique. Do better! Covid Rating: 0 Stars. The assistant working at the store was not wearing their mask properly (nose not covered). This was very disappointing as Nashville has a mask mandate. read more

Hands down the best dress shop I visited. Ella and Kara were so helpful, down to earth, and kind. They put me at ease and never made me feel pressured. I felt free to look around, try different styles, feel and see the dresses. It was so different than other experiences I've had at similar shops. And Jordy had me in stitches the entire time. She has got to be one of the funniest people I've been around. Shopping for wedding dresses had been a stressful experience for me thus far, but her lightheartedness put me at ease. My initial appointment with white dresses where I purchased my veil and dress was wonderful. Subsequently afterwards the customer service that I received from them was extremely poor. They did not make phone calls to give me updates on shipping for my dress or my veil. When I expressed these complaints upon pick up of my veil Kara at the shop seemed quite indifferent. Kara and Ella have great relationships with the dress designers so my dress will be unique and customized to my preferences and dimensions. When I went to other stores, I did not get the sense that they had working, active relationships with the designers. Kara and Ella were patient as I made up my mind and gave me thoughtful feedback without influencing my decision. Dealing with this company was awful and I would highly recommend you spend your money for your special day elsewhere! I waited outside the locked store for each fitting because they were always running late to my appointment and one time was told Kara wouldn't make the appointment because she was upstairs sleeping due to being hungover. I ordered my dress and fell in love with the bolero that I tried on with it at the store. I wanted to order it on the same day as the dress but was encouraged by Ella and Kara to wait... bad mistake. Once the dress came I ordered the bolero and waited and waited. It came in a couple DAYS prior to my wedding date and came long sleeved when it was supposed to be capped sleeves. One of my bridesmaids had to pick it up and fly with it to Maine because I was already there for my wedding. Once I received it in Maine the night before my wedding it was HUGE and hung off me. I was devastated and my favorite part of my dress was now my biggest nightmare. I was now spending my rehearsal dinner night on the phone with Ella and Kara trying to figure out how to get things fixed. After sending them pictures and hiring a seamstress to come to my remote venue I received this text from Ella: "Hey! I just tried to call you. If you want to have me talk to the seamstress I can. I will definitely refund the price of the bolero plus the alterations on it but we will have to have a card to refund with. I looked at the pictures and the shoulders are definitely too large. The seamstress here said to lift the shoulders up. The neckline is actually the same made with different lace scallops. If you call me when the seamstress is there I can help. I will refund you the price of the bolero along with paying for the seamstress (her cost). Let me know if there is anything else I can do. I am so sorry for all the stress. And we've been praying the alterations are able to fix it. And praying for you." Twice in that text message and multiple others I was promised the price of the bolero ($500) refunded as well as the seamstress fee ($100) but HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A DIME!!!! They kept stating they needed more pictures and a formal email, which I provided them. Then I was told on 12/9/17 via email "your check should be to you tomorrow." When the check never came I reached out to an attorney. Once the attorney got involved they wanted the bolero back!!! The altered, now cleaned and stored in a wedding box bolero, BACK... so they could send it back to the designer to get their money back.... TAKING NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR MISTAKES. THEY WILL LIE, CHEAT AND STEAL FROM YOU. DO NOT LET THEM RUIN YOUR WEDDING DAY BY DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM. Even if you don't have a TERRIBLE experience with them like I did, nothing will be on time or as they tell you. read more

In doing some online research of bridal salons in the area, I stumbled upon their website, and loved the look and feel of the gowns/designers they carried... and I was not disappointed with their in store selection! I got my perfect wedding dress at White Dresses un Birmingham AL! It was the absolute best experience. Their store is in the cutest part of town and the most beautiful space. They had a great fitting room where the bride would change behind a curtain that was pulled around and then opened up to show my family. They had a good variety of dress styles to choose from so you have plenty of options. Theresa, who was helping me, is so knowledgeable of all the dresses and designers. The girls here and intimate setting of the shop made my sister feel so comfortable. We showed them the few photos she had pinned on Pinterest and they picked out dresses right away that were in line with what she was looking for. My sister was glowing and happy the whole time and relieved that the experience was not the nightmare she had been anticipating.
