Made an appointment a month or so in advance. Showed up the day of to one of the most beautiful dress shops I've seen. My consultant was so sweet and welcoming. She never once made me feel uncomfortable or pressured. I had been to several stores previously and hadn't felt that emotion of being in "the one". I described what I was looking for and all the dresses were in my budget and exactly what I wanted. Put on my dress and was honestly so happy with it! I also wanted to change up the sleeves and it was no issue at all. I think the shop was beautiful and the appointment went very well, however.. keep reading . Ivy sat down and spoke with us , and she was SUPERIOR! The bridesmaids picked out a dress and ivy picked out a few in budget. Turns out we picked out an 11k dress and ivy was very friendly about and stated that we had great taste but it was 11k and another one the store ladies took the dress away immediately and hung it back up before we even got the chance to say anything. I think it was very unprofessional considering the fact the other lady had not been working with us and just assumed we could not afford the dress. I think it's the experience that makes it fun, even with a budget I think it's still nice to try on things to get ideas and who knows if we were able to try on the dress it might have been the one.. read more

I can't say enough great things about The Bride Room! I visited a gazillion times... retrying on the same dress, having difficulty making a final decision. They were so accommodating and welcoming, never pushy but asking great questions to help me decide. After saying YES to my Romona Keveza dress, we scheduled accessory appointments and fittings. The girls were so accommodating and lovely, helping me style every last detail. I never felt rushed or that it was an inconvenience, it truly was an amazing experience from beginning to end. I went to at least 6 other wedding salons between Nashville and Birmingham, and although I had great experiences at some of the others, the ladies at The Bride Room felt like good friends from the very beginning. I stopped by the Bride Room to look at hats. I'm kidding! I stopped by to look for a wedding dress. I had made my appointment about a week or so in advance and when I called I told them my budget. The lady who answered the phone told me that they had dresses for me to try on. She didn't imply that there were tons but that they could do an appointment. Based on my conversations with other bridal salons, she was much friendlier and seemed interested in helping me find a dress within my budget, so I booked. Imagine my horror when I arrived and my consultant's face turned pale when I told her my budget. I explained that I had called and that the lady that I had spoken with had told me that my budget would be okay and my consultant apologized for that. Uh, thanks. What made the whole thing even more bizarre was that there were dresses for me to try on. It seemed that my consultant had a lapse in memory and as the appointment continued more dresses that fit in my budget magically showed up. I tried about 5 dresses, all within my budget. The consultant was able to save the appointment and by the end I was starting to feel a bit more comfortable. I did find a dress that I loved but because this was the first place that I looked, I moved on. Outside of my experience the shop was very nice. They had two large dressing areas and one podium and mirror in the middle of the store. This is not a large salon, there were probably less than a hundred dresses. They seemed to have a variety of styles. If you are the type of person who feels overwhelmed with too many choices this may be a good place to go because there weren't an overwhelming amount of dresses. It looked like they also had a bridesmaid dress selection upstairs. If I had a friend who was looking for a fairly inexpensive wedding dress, I would not suggest coming here. I realize that my appointment was with one consultant and maybe the others are different but I don't appreciate being treated disparagingly just because I've made a personal decision to spend less on a dress. Based on my initial phone call, I would assume that if you were planning on spending $2,500 or more you would be more within their range. read more

Unfortunately, I had a similar experience as some of the brides below. I made an appointment far in advance and reviewed my budget with the lady on the phone. Upon arriving we weren't really greeted and the consultants did not get much friendlier throughout the appointment. Even though we had discussed budget, the consultant continued to put me in dresses that were twice my budget. She didn't seem to care and just kept saying "well this one is twice the budget but we can still try it on." This was not very professional and I would have rather tried on two dresses in budget than 10 that wouldn't work for me. Although we did leave disappointed, we learned a lot and I will not be recommending this salon to others. read more

I had an appointment at the Bride Room to try on wedding gowns and I was sorely disappointed. I did arrive about 20 minutes early, and there was an appointment already in progress - so I understand the lack of attention at the beginning. I also had a new consultant and again I was understanding and patient. However, when the consultant didn't know enough to ask me my budget, put me in a dress that was more than twice I could afford - I knew this wasn't my kind of place. Now bridal dress selection is style-dependent. I personally didn't think the selection was fantastic or the girl who was trying on gowns had all the good ones. Also - they don't put price tags on their gowns, which I don't entirely understand. I'm all for a stunning gown, but do they want you to fall in love with something that is 3x your budget? Overall, after hearing glowing reviews, I'm unimpressed. read more

So, a very good friend is engaged and has been on the hunt for a wedding dress as well as bridesmaids dresses for, oh, the past 2 months or so. This is one of the four places I've been with her here in Nashville. The Bride Room is one of the first stops. Conveniently located in Green Hills, in the Bandywood shopping plaza, it's a pretty shop that's very well lit with natural light--very important when shopping for these types of dresses--I'm not married, but have been in about 13 weddings (that movie 27 Dresses? Yeah, I can relate!) so I've been in all types of places in about 5 different states, and this is by far one of the most pleasing to the eye. There are a couple of dressing rooms on the first floor that make it easy to try on dresses. Wedding dresses, shoes, veils, and accessories are on the first floor with the bridesmaid dresses on the second--nice that they are not all lumped together, like in some other shops. One of the bridesmaids was with us too, and she is super tiny--tried on a few dresses, and the staff was very helpful in that they clipped all the dresses (usually samples in stores are big) to let her see how they would really look. For wedding dresses, they had a good selection of Reem Acra, Melissa Sweet, Amsale, Monique Lhuillier and a few others. As for bridesmaid dresses they had lots of Watters and Watters and Lazaro. The bride wasn't crazy about the bridesmaids dresses (just not her style), but was very pleased with the service. read more

The ladies here were extremely nice! My mom and I came in as a walk-in. We were extremely lucky that an appointment ended early and another appointment was late, so I was able to try on some dresses. I do agree with a previous review - she did not ask me about myself and what I was looking for, and she did not ask me about my budget. So when you go in, make sure you mention your budget. I had the absolute best experience with Stephanie at The Bride Room! It was my first stop and I found a dress I LOVED. I decided to go to my other appointments simply to 'cover my bases' and after visiting three other local boutiques and trying on multiple gowns, I found myself back at Bride Room. In the end, it was mostly about the dress but a huge part of why they got my business were their pristine gowns, special attention to my budget and needs, and overall guest experience! The Bridal Room has a great selection of bridesmaid dresses so it should get 5 stars. However the service, or lack thereof, is horrible. Once we arrived for our appointment, we were taken upstairs and told to pick whatever we wanted and to try the dresses on in the loft. Then we were left alone for the remainder of the appointment. No one checked to see if we needed anything or had any questions. My friend ( the bride) took on the task of zipping us up and holding the dresses when they were too big. From my experience that is not how things go. There should be someone around to assist or at least periodically check in. Once we finished and came back downstairs we were still ignored. No one asked how things went if we had a good experience, nothing. We found two dresses that we loved but we WILL NOT be purchasing from this establishment. Also: If you are self conscious about undressing in front of people do not come here for bridesmaid dresses. There are no dressing rooms just an open loft. It was not an issue for us but some people may not be comfortable. read more

I purchased my wedding dress here and couldn't be happier so far!! I had picked a vera wang at another shop prior to my appointment here and they were able to understand exactly what I was looking for and find me the perfect dress. It fit my body and my style. They were patient and extremely helpful while I tried on multiple dresses. They've even been just as helpful and friendly when I have returned to show the dress to my future Mother in law!!! I was pleased with The Bride Room. The consultant who I worked with was wonderful, very nice and helpful. My budget was lower than the majority of their dresses, but I was able to find a few in my price range to try on. My consultant was great in that she would tell me the prices of items before putting them on me and she never put me in anything over my budget. I didn't find my dress here, but I would recommend The Bride Room for anyone with a $2,500 budget or higher. read more

This is the absolute BEST place to get a wedding gown. The girls are so knowledgeable about different styles, fabrics, etc. Rachel is SO kind and truly made me feel comfortable and excited about the whole process. I told her my budget ahead of time, and she made sure I stayed within that. I had even picked out a dress that was nearly 3x my budget, and before I even put it on, she let me know that it was well outside of my budget. I so appreciated that, because I'm sure I would have loved it and then been disappointed when I couldn't have taken it home. I had quite a few people come with me and they were so hospitable and welcoming. They worked with me on paying off the gown, as well, and recommended the best seamstress to do my alterations. I visited The Bride Room this week without an appointment and they were very gracious about fitting me in and making me feel welcome. I tried on several dresses and wound up really loving one that the consultant, Stephanie, pulled for me. She listened to what I had to say and made thoughtful and helpful comments about styles I may like, things to consider, and other details about my wedding. She was also a very pleasant and friendly person, which is important when someone is clamping you into a dress! Having visited a number of other shops before The Bride Room, I can honestly say that the level of service provided by Stephanie was exceptional in terms of the Nashville bridal scene. I felt very comfortable with her and at ease during what can be an exhausting and stressful process. Their store is also full of light and very beautiful. I am buying my dress elsewhere simply because I fell in love with a dress/brand they do not carry. However, I am a little sad that I can't do business with them, because I had a truly great customer service experience. I hope that other brides-to-be will give them a try. As with most bridal salons, they do carry dresses from just a few lines, so it might be helpful to research those lines and have some idea what you're looking for and what you'd like to spend before you go. Although I didn't ask the price of all the gowns, I saw dresses ranging in price from $1,000-$7,000, with the majority of those that I tried on falling somewhere in the middle. Overall, I think this place should be a great option for a wide range of brides. In comparison to the other places I shopped, there are other shops in Nashville that are both more and less expensive, and this one seems to be a happy medium of quality dresses at good price points. And, a helpful consultant makes a world of difference. read more

I had a great experience purchasing my wedding dress at The Bride Room... even though I never set foot in the store. I live in Los Angeles and had been trying on gowns here for some time with no success. I'd fallen in love with a gorgeous Reem Acra dress, but it was $1000 over my budget and none of the other dresses I'd tried on could compare. An internet search brought up The Bride Room's website. I decided to contact them and see if they ever sold their Reem Acra samples. They did, and they just happened to have a sample of the dress I was in love with in my size. They sold it to me for $1000 under sticker price, a very good price for a gown of this quality, even if it was a sample. I gave the salesperson my credit card, they boxed up the dress and FedExed it to L.A. The dress arrived quickly and was in great condition for a sample. I had it cleaned and there were a handful of beads that needed to be replaced, but it was in otherwise great shape. The Bride Room made it possible for me to wear my dream dress on my wedding day without busting my budget. I am so grateful! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this store just based on the positive experience I had dealing with them by phone and mail. read more

I have sent 2 brides to this store in the past 6 months and both brides walked away with no intent to return, as they were barely helped and felt rushed. Both of the brides had appointments set, so there is no excuse for the poor service they were given. I would certainly not recommend this store to another bride. This place is beyond great. Being a bride with a smaller than usual dress budget, this place was fabulous. They were so very attentive to me and helped me find things within my budget with ZERO pressure to buy or to try on anything outside my budget. They carry all the latest seasons of Augusta Jones, Amsale, Jim Hjelm, Monique Lhuillier and more! They also cary older season dresses (just as beautiful) that can be purchased for killer prices as samples. They also were really honest about whether something would look right on my body (in a very sweet southern way). I ended up finding the PERFECT dress and they even gave me a discount! Amazing!!! That is all I can say for the Bride's room. I started and ended my wedding dress search here (after a few visits to other stores) and I am so thankful I did. I worked with Charlotte the first time I visited and she patiently helped me to sort through dresses since I had no idea what I wanted. On my second visit, Stephanie helped me try on a few more dresses before I finally returned to one of my first favorites. Since then, at every appointment, they have had my dress ready and waiting for accessories and veil. In addition, they have bridesmaid's dresses, one of which I selected for my rehearsal dinner dress. I purchased my wedding dress, rehearsal dinner dress, and bridal luncheon dress from them as well as all my bridesmaid's dresses and the experience was spectacular. They were excellent about communicating, incredibly helpful in making decisions, and over all understood the style of my wedding and knew what would work well. They have a beautiful selection and went out of their way to bring other dresses into the store that I wanted to see. They are meticulous about their care of the dresses and accessories. Horrible customer service, entirely rude. Walked in just to see what the store offered and the girl who was working said "sorry you can look around but we do not have a fitting room available today." I politely explained we were from out of town and that I just wanted to try one dress on and would be willing to do it somewhere upstairs, she said "oh, I'm sorry but nothing is going to available today." When your website only says "appointments kindly appreciated" (NOT REQUIRED) and you turn away an out of town mother and daughter it shows not only your lack of really trying to help make everyone's wedding dreams come true but also your disrespect to customer's who came into the store willing to spend $5000. Definitely felt like I was in Pretty Woman and the snob girl who was working did not know how much money we were willing to spend. read more

If I could give zero stars I would! This place is a complete joke run by some silly little girls. I got married several years ago and got a stunning dress at Village Bridal which is where you need to go! My sister is about to get married and tried on some dresses at The Bride Room. The selection is slim and the prices are outrageous! My dress was a little over $3000 which was very reasonable at Village Bridal as it had very ornate beading. Thankfully my sister followed my lead and got her wedding dress at Village Bridal as well. Unfortunately she got the bridesmaids dresses from The Bride Room. What a disaster! The manager (loose term) measured wrong! I was out $250 for a basic black dress and then had to have $100 more in alterations for their mistake! They are very rude and arbitrary. As you can read with other comments here and on the BBB you do NOT want to waste your time or money here! They don't give a hoot about the customers only about price gouging and taking money. RUDE RUDE RUDE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME GO TO VILLAGE BRIDAL INSTEAD! TRUST ME! read more
