We went in the Williams store in ottertail mn for an ice cream cone a few days ago. We live on ottertail. We ordered 2 single scoops. What we received was maybe one scoop, putting them together but I doubt it, and it was $4.50 each plus a tip. The owners were in there. I'm really disappointed in being taken advantage of. At least give a full scoop for $4.50 per cone. I couldn't believe they watched and probably laughed. It is almost laughable, but we're not laughing. We used to get cones there and they were good. Absolutely turned off by this. read more

This is a beautiful store/coffe shop/ lunch spot. And a fantastic back yard that had live music on Thursday evenings in the summer. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the coffee was great in the morning and the Italian roast beef sandwich was the perfect lunch. The store was so much fun to shop in, a lot of unique items. Spent a few hours in Ottertail and juts had to hit this store. It's so cute! Ate an **amazing** sandwich, named after a lake. I can't have dairy and, even without cheese, it was so delicious. The olive spread made the whole sandwich, but the quality of the deli meats was good too. The side of veggies were perfectly ripe and so fresh. A refreshing addition to my sandwich. My oatmilk latte was very well done. I am a coffee snob and I would drink here again! If I am in Ottertail again, I will eat here again! I like the mix of kitch and locally made products. It was hard to resist the temptation to bring home souvenirs for my family. read more

The best deli and coffee shop! And a store! The staff is so friendly and kind. They always have something going on and support the community. we are lucky to have such a wonderful business here. cute place but don't stay too long. I came there today to grab breakfast, do some work online, then bring some lunch, drinks and sweatshirts back for the family. the younger workers who took my order and served me were great. it was pretty quiet and got some work done. when I was finishing teams meeting online and older gentlemen came over and started to talk to me. He said he appreciated me enjoying his space but he was getting ready to have a lunch rush and asked to use my table and asked me to leave. in fairness to him I didn't think he knew I had breakfast as the table had been cleared off so I explained that to him. that didn't seem to matter. interesting enough there were still 8 tables empty and only 4 others with people setting there. I decided that if he didn't want my business I would forgo getting the large lunch order, drinks and sweatshirts that I had picked out for the family. just lost about a 250-300 sale. hope that extra table was worth it. again over all nice place just don't stay long. read more

As of mid-May 2019, The Williams Company Store sold their Battle Lake business to new owners, who have yet to change their signage. The Williams Company Store, located in Ottertail, MN, is owned and operated by Marnie and Dan Whitehead. They love what they're doing and it shows in the quality of refreshments they serve (oh, their espresso! and that Cran-Apple Turkey Sandwich and that Thai Chicken Wrap - yum!) and the wide variety of items they sell. Their employees are well-trained, knowledgeable, pleasant and friendly. They love meeting and talking with new people coming through their store, and also welcoming back, again and again, all their regular customers. For a special treat, make a 'special request' for an "affogato" - it's a scoop of ice cream (I recommend vanilla for your first time) with a double espresso poured-over. Cute store with a lot of lake-type decor and friendly staff but not sure it works well with the deli and coffee shop. The soap and perfume smells were pretty apparent in the downstairs deli area so was a turn off for us to stay and linger. We got a latte to go which was decent. read more

My family and I stopped in here while in town visiting family. Cute little shop with unique items. Friendly staff. There is a deli and coffee shop downstairs. I didn't have any food but I did get a mocha and it was very good. If I'm never back in the area, I will definitely stop back again and try something from the deli. read more

Battle Lake store has the best espresso in the county! If you call ahead make sure you have the right store as the only number that comes up on google is the one for the Ottertail store. ***FYI the Frappes have espresso in them! Way better than Starbucks.... Why would you not put coffee in a coffee drink at a coffee chain? read more
