The caramelized onions and cheese on the french toast alongside the maple syrup made for a very good sweet and savoury flavour kick -- if you don't eat much, you could definitely share since I had trouble finishing it! We started with nachos, that had the right blend of cheese and toppings. Unfortunately there were no side plates brought, causing us to eat like animals from a common trough. A slight mishap with a spilled glass of water interrupted our otherwise pleasant appetizer. The server's attention was less than prompt causing us to get extra napkins from directly behind the counter. Still, we soldiered on and prepared for the main feast. The seafood chowder was one of the better ones all trip. Fresh and flavourful pieces in a cream broth, served with a fresh side biscuit. The real opportunity is to highlight the delicious jams and spreads from the shop which would add some much needed flavour to the biscuits.
