Food: The options are never-ending. They have several different plans and more options than I would ever have imaged. The prices were very fair in my opinion. The quality was good. The appetizers (pretzels bites, meatballs and veggie tray) were nice but the dinner was very good (sirloin tip, Parmesan chicken, green beans, scalloped potatoes and salad). The food service was prompt and attentive - much appreciated. External dessert is allowed and that's what we did. Also appreciated. Drinks: They have a more strict drink policy than other places, but this did not effect our party or guests in the slightest. We did the open bar option, but they only allow beer and wine (no hard spirits). The bottles must be opened and administered from their supplied bartender with an additional fee. This means no big punch bowl or sangria. The bartenders were both very kind, and, as I said, this did not effect our party! Decor/Venue: Beautiful! I walked in and was wowed. Rustic barns are trendy, but they execute better than any other venue of it's type that I've attended. The rustic, farm-style was felt, but not oppressive. They had lots of flowers, Christmas decorations, and lights, hitting festive, elegant and rustic vibes. We were able to bring our own games and arrange the space to have an open area for cocktail hour/mingling. Our event had about 75 people, and it was plenty big. Cleanup and teardown: The sour note in my opinion. They were clear that the party is until 7, and everyone needed to be out by 7:30. However, I cannot stand when people start cleaning up and clearing down, while guest our still there. They started clean up before 7, while the party was technically going on. There was rushing and a lack of care for us at the end that I didn't like. Overall, our guests were very pleased, and the event was wonderful. As someone who organized it, I saw a little bit of a different side, but still greatly enjoyed it and would recommend this venue!

Aside from the main room we were in, the rest of the house was poorly lit (I guess they were going for a moody vibe), and while the bathrooms were clean, the bar area was inexplicably small for the size of the event. It felt like the space was built for old timey photos, not functionality. Most memorable (not in a good way) was the venue's primary point of contact for the evening -- the coordinator who was managing the reception timeline and vendor interactions. Her demeanor toward guests vs. vendors was shockingly different, and it was my understanding that most of the vendors were arranged by the bridal party - not the venue - so one would assume she would be more welcoming, or at least collaborative. She made it clear, without saying a word, that she would have rather been anywhere else. Everything seemed done in a huff and a haste. Watching her try to "manage" anything was almost painful - she seemed irritated, unaware, and annoyed in equal measure. Shooting daggers at other people is completely inappropriate, but you couldn't help but notice how off her vibes were. If that was her best foot forward, I truly shudder to imagine what a bad day looks like. This is a reminder to everyone that when you are responsible for any event, all eyes are on you - even when you do not think they are. A wedding venue and its staff should be able to execute hospitality, logistics, and basic human decency simultaneously. Instead, we got a coordinator whose energy was like Jekyll and Hyde - the bride and groom got one personality and everyone else got the other. For a place designed to host life's most joyful milestones, it was baffling how joyless and, quite frankly, apathetic, the venue staff seemed to be. May be time to find another line of work. The photographer was a bit of an odd guy, but not unkind, and the caterer and bartender were both lovely and as helpful as they could be, so not all was lost, but they surely had no affiliation with the venue. They at least know how to remain professional with an audience. This place may photograph well, but kindness, competence, and hospitality cannot be Photoshopped in. I left feeling bad for the couple who trusted this venue with such an important day, and I would strongly urge future couples to look elsewhere. It seems like this place is just trying to make a buck in the easiest way possible. Weddings deserve warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism -- and we unfortunately experienced the exact opposite here.
