What an awesome bar!! I had not heard of it until we were looking for a place to watch the Germany vs Denmark soccer game! It was not easy to find but it didn't take long - it is behind a strip mall. The place was packed. I loved the owner, the vibe, the way it was decorated and I especially loved the Simon Pegg references :) we ordered beer and had potato chips. We will back!

Had the pleasure of going to watch a soccer game here on Saturday with some friends! What a great little gem! The owners Kevin and his wife, Stephanie are amazing! They make great recommendations on tap and, because I am not a beer drinker, Kevin suggested a hard latte! Yes, you heard right!!! It was sooooo sinfully delicious and wickedly good! He has it in a mocha and vanilla flavor and I tried them both. The bar does not serve food but they have snacks and are often visited by food trucks! You can also order food and bring it in. They have many menus from local businesses in the plaza right above the bar. This is a really nice place to hang with friends and watch a game. And, careful you might even get on TV yourself! He takes pics of all the customers and puts them on the TV's! Go check it out and support these incredible owners! You won't be disappointed!

My favorite bartender of all time owns this pub. Exceptionally curated tap selection. Everyone in the pub seems like friends & family.

Located across from NC State's campus, it's the kind of spot where locals, students, alumni, and first-time visitors all seem to blend together naturally. It's appearance in the baseball classic Bull Durham was my main draw to this place. And it adds another layer to its charm and history. What makes this place special isn't any one thing, it's everything. You can easily lose an entire afternoon here watching a game, having a few drinks, and talking with whoever happens to be sitting nearby. In a world full of polished sports bars and corporate concepts, Mitch's feels authentic, lived-in, and uniquely Raleigh. Exactly the kind of tavern every town wishes it had.

With its aged-brick facade and wonderful old-world decor, Mitch's could easily be mistaken for a historic tavern in Boston or Greenwich Village, but the institution has only been in business since 1974. Movie nerds will recognize Mitch's as the spot where Kevin Costner, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins meet for beers in the baseball comedy 'Bull Durham,' while Wolfpack alum will likely remember it as the spot where they celebrated dozens of basketball wins, birthday bashes and end-of-semester parties during their time at NC State. The beer list is strong, the service terrific and the food delicious -- especially the famous Reuben sandwich. So drop by, grab a table, and enjoy one of the best pub experiences North Carolina has to offer.

Located conveniently a block south of Sam Jones and two blocks west of Red Hat Amphitheater, Vault is a bit of a neighborhood gem in this quiet area. The beer list is well curated and prices are excellent ($7 to $8 per pint). Definitely worth a visit with friends and there's often a food truck in the parking lot!

There are floor to ceiling windows which make it feel like you are surrounded by trees as you drink your beer and look outside. Inside there is a modern and elevated which just makes this a cool place to hang out. To order you'll walk up to the bar counter and place your order. Once you have your beer there is open seating either inside or outside. I ordered the Prairie Artisan Ales Slush which wasn't too sour and super refreshing on a hot day. I'll definitely stop into this beer bar in the future. So glad we stumbled upon this place and the vibes were definitely on point.
