Did a total remodel, down to the studs, for a large kitchen. Decided to replace the existing Marvin window over the sink with the exact same window but 6 inches more vertically for a better view. When Ted, from the Window People, came out to measure he wrote up the $2,700+ window order for white hardware even though the window he was replacing and every window in the house had brass hardware. The new window was installed and later I noticed the hardware did not match the old window. When I asked to have the hardware replaced, Ted wanted over $100 to swap it out. Ted and I went back and forth over "I signed for white hardware" versus "You were instructed that I wanted the exact same window as before but longer vertically". Ted wants the money... I called customer service at Marvin Corporate and Jill was great. She sent me the hardware as a courtesy at no cost. Marvin makes a great window but where you purchase it from is important and if you are looking for reasonable support I would not call The Window People. read more

I'm not one to write negative reviews but in this case I feel a need to share this experience. I went to The Window People to as about replacing some Weather Shield windows in my home. There was a young man there who was very helpful. He suggested an appointment with his manager. The manager, Ted, came to my home and noted that the windows/doors in question were still under warranty. He noted all of the work I wanted done and told me I'd have an estimate by the end of the week. I haven't heard from him since. My wife caller him to ask him to provide the estimate but he hasn't returned the call. Thankfully there's another WindowShield dealer close to us. And we are having the work done by them. Looking at his reviews, it appears that he did the same thing to someone else. Makes one wonder at his professionalism. read more

I cannot recommend this place to anyone. They just don't care about you. The manager I spoke to, David, told me that just giving me a quote would take 2 business days, and he never sent me anything. When I called to follow up, Frank, the other manager, simply refused to quote me anything in a very rude way. "If you want to, you can go to any other place", - this is his exact words. read more
