We did an online search in the area like most new home owners would (unfortunately) and this company came out. Their website 'looked' great and the sales rep Chris on the line even 'sounded' nice. But it turned out to be shady business disguised underneath. After they did a measurement, they told us we needed a custom size door, which is costly. We were confused about the custom size and decided to get a second opinion. Thank goodness we did! A second vendor did a measurement and told us that our opening only needed a standard size door. We of course went with the 2nd vendor and got the exact same Anderson 200 door installed successfully last week with literally half the price (including tips). This shady company tried to jack up their price by lying to their customer about needing a custom size door. Dishonest and shameless biz practice. BUYER BEWARE.

This business does not deserve even 1 star…read more I needed a window quickly and Joe said he could get the size I wanted in 1 week. In hindsight, that was the 1st red flag because every other window place could not promise delivery any earlier than 3 weeks. The week passed and I had to call him for an ETA...that was the 2nd red flag. He called back 2 days later and said it would be another week due to no delivery. I told him no less than 1/2 dozen times that the window was going from small to bigger...the size was being changed. The installer arrived the day after Joe delivered the window and said that because of the size change, it should be a "new construction" window, not a replacement. I called Joe to discuss his mistake and he said. "I wish I had known" it was new construction. I said, "I told you several times" that the size was being enlarged. He offered a suggestion on how to make it work. I said the installer doesn't want to doctor it up, he wants the right window. Joe said, "I have no use for that window" and I said "neither do I." He made no attempt to correct his own mistake; that's bad business! What an absolute waste of time! How shady and dishonest of him! He knew 100% the window was being enlarged and the new window should have been for new construction. He does this for a living...ALLEGEDLY! We lost 2 weeks waiting for a window that Joe knew was the wrong one, not to mention the money I wasted on a useless window. My installer suggested I contact the BBB based upon my experience and other stories he has heard about Precise. That's my next letter in addition to the Westchester County Consumer Protection Department. Stay away from this unscrupulous liar.

Not knowing many of the local contractors. My first calls were to the well-known window and door vendors (Anderson and Pella). After getting their prices back, we had to reassess the scope of the project since we would not be able to afford to do all of the doors at once. We did some more research and I came across Royal Doors and Windows. They had a lot of five star reviews which made me skeptical. I called and Danny was at my house in a few days. He took very precise measurements and photos. He even came back because he wanted to double check something that he didnt get a perfect picture of. The meeting in his office was excellent. He was able to walk us through our options, the costs and details. Moreover, he was able to show us the actual doors and how they would look on our house using his pictures and big screen in his office. It made the process extremely easy. When the big day came, the install team was just as Danny had promised. Chris and his partner we quick, efficient, and neat. They replaced three large doors and a window over a two day period. They were so quiet doing it, I was able to work from home in the next room. The doors came out great and we couldnt be happier. He had the gall to say that the espresso/black color went better with my house anyway. My house was under renovation so he proved my point-I'm not trying to match the current color. I'm matching what it will be. Lastly, the fancy keypad doorknob they sold me was not installed correctly because the door would not close!!! They came back to fix it to loosen the screws to accommodate the misalignment. I wasted over $10000 on this poor excuse of a business. RUN. It is not worth it to do business with this company. We chose H&J based not only on price, but reputation. The job started quickly, and despite adverse weather conditions, was finished when promised. More importantly, the work was professionally executed. Steve came by daily to oversee the process and discuss the project with me. Alan, Anibal, Rony and Darwin were great! We have dogs and they were unbelievably cooperative when the dogs needed to go out. They constantly confirmed gates were closed and the yard was secure. End result? The roof is BEAUTIFUL and properly done. I have been in building maintenance and management for 30 years and have overseen multi-million dollar roof projects.
