I also like that you can get small bottles of some of the wines if you are not sure if you'd like it and can mix and match 6 for $19.99. Went here for a special event and was so impressed by the knowledgeable staff. They really have something for everyone. It was a tasting event and I had the opportunity to taste 9 different wines, which I thought was so generous. My favorite place to buy wine and try wine! I am a regular at The Wine Cellar Outlet. I am here almost every other week. The people here are amazing and so friendly, helpful, and fun! I first came to the Wine Cellar Outlet for a yelp event a few years ago. This was before they had expanded and got a bigger place. I love the new place as it has a wonderful selection of wine, and the best part is there is ALWAYS a sale. They also have a website to buy online and have it shipped or pick up In store. They have amazing case deals starting at $89 and offer mystery cases, stained label cases, and premium select cases at a steal of a price. I don't think you can get wine at a better price and the quality and variety they have is wonderful. I love that the mystery cases they do come in special groups like reds, whites, Italian, rose, etc... so you can get exactly what you like. It's such a deal because for $99 you get some wines that are $30+ per bottle! I am usually creating my own case and getting their experts to help pick out wines for me. I also love their BOGO deals where you can get Buy 1 Get 1 75% off or Buy 1 Get 1 50% off. They also do things like 50% off Mega bottles, or 45% off all Cellar Select wines etc... Kyla and her team are amazing and do wine tastings about 2x a month with different themes and specials. For example they will do a taste of Italy with all Italian wines, they have Halloween and Valentines themes, and southern wines from Africa, etc... it's a great way to try wines and find what you like. The best part of it all is that is completely FREE. The tastings go from 5-630pm on Fridays and they show the theme and you can register on Eventbrite. They also have some delicious snacks and light bites for you to munch on as you try the wines. The snacks they have make it really enjoyable as you can try as many of the tastings without feeling like you have to limit yourself and it's always fun to see what creative snacks the team comes up with. It can be anything from 6-10 wines to try! I have been brining many friends to the tastings. They even have a. Referral program where you get $10 off your next purchase and your friend gets it too on their purchase. They make a nice tasting list for you to know exactly where the wine is made, and what notes to expect. They'll even have some chocolate to pair with a wine. I keep these sheets so I know what wines I want to buy next. It helps to also know what I didn't like. Allen, Shelley, and Abby have also been great at making wine suggestions and I know I like anything that they recommend. I drink a lot of wine and this is the only place I come to now. Whenever I have a party or gathering, I stock up :). They even have an advent calendar of wines around the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays which make wonderful gifts for the wine lovers in your family! They have the wines categorized in three selections (cellar select up to $19.99, cellar premium $20.99 to $34.99, cellar ultra $35.99 and up) so you can mix and match your wines. Everything is categorized and organized in regions, reds, whites, organic, staff picks, etc. They even carry craft beers and sake. We left with a case of wine for half price all under $10.00 a bottle. What a bargain! We signed up for their newsletter which comes out once a week for tastings and events! I stopped in today and Debbie was so welcoming. We were told that there's three levels of price ranges and there's different discounts on when you buy multiple bottles. TWC is part of a company that runs online Wine Clubs (NPR Wine Club, Macy's Wine Club, The Wall Street Journal Wine Club, etc.) Presumably, this store serves as the overflow for wines that didn't sell or are phasing out. Here's an example calculation of a cork-ing amazing bottle I snagged this weekend. Case study: Ascension Malbec: $16.99 through Macy's Wine Club online. Best online price (when purchased in a case) = $159.88/12= $13.32. The same bottle this weekend = $7.32 (base) -15% (in any 6 bottle combination) or -30% if you buy 12. We went on a Saturday, and we couldn't have chosen a better time, because we found out through an employee that they were doing a 50% off a mixed wine case special for Presidents Day weekend (regular case discount is 30%). My lady and I took this opportunity and ran with it, getting lots of great selections. The wine are divided into three categories; cellar select (up to $19.99, cellar premium ($20.99-$34.99), and cellar ultra ($35.99 and up) and are discounted accordingly. The left side of the store is set by country or region of origin while the right is set by varietal. They also have a nice selection of local craft beer chilled and ready to go. My lady and I left with a case of goodies at 50% off (just a little over $100 total) and a magnum of Toscana at only $10. How can anyone beat that? This is now our go-to place to stock up on wine. The staff are very knowledgeable about the wines and they have weekly wine tasting one of my favorite things to do too. I had a great experience shopping here. The week I went, the shelves were packed am they were busy unloading wines. They are very COVID-friendly and restrict shopping to one group/party at a time. The staff was knowledgeable about wines once I highlighted varietals I prefer. Can't wait to try them all. A couple notes: The high priced wines are very well discounted. Most retailed fit $45-60 when I looked them up. They often have case discount sales. I saved 35% on my case last time I went. What a neat place! I would have never known about the Wine Cellar Outlet if it weren't for the Yelp elite event. When I arrived it was very clear that COVID guidelines were being taken very seriously which is of course very important. I waited outside until it was my turn to go in and I was able to learn a little bit about the establishment and the types of wine that are sold there. There were so many different options from so many different regions. I told them what types of wine I enjoyed and mentioned a couple different bottles I've had from different restaurants and they were able to help me narrow down on what bottles they thought I would enjoy from their selection. We waited in the front of the store as 2 other customers finished up their orders. I appreciated the social distancing! The employee then explained the pricing and the set up of all the different bottles. There was a standard pricing based on the wall that each bottle was on. Lots of reds and whites! They had a lot of boxed up orders waiting for customers to pick up, so that is what I will do next time! The Tussock Jumper Sauvignon Blanc has been my favorite so far! I really enjoyed building my cases but do wish the website offered the option to filter by availability at the Cincinnati location. It's a bit sad to do all the research and choose to buy a wine only to find it's not available in Cincinnati. Other than that, my experience was great. We found a few gems at a price point we wouldn't normally pay but could because of the sale. Our orders were ready quickly, with notice coming through via email. Pick up was easy from Longworth Hall. Today was my first time going to the Wine Cellar Outlet for an event. I've been to wine outlets before but surprisingly hadn't heard of this one although I'm not far from it. After tasting a variety of wines, I wasn't sure which ones to choose. I know my wines but there was so much variety and uniqueness which made the process harder. The staff were are all great and knowledgeable and happily helped me with my decision making. I purchased wines from South Africa, France, California, and Argentina all at a very low price. This is such a great concept. It is like joining a wine club without the commitment. They have 3 tiers of wine. The select, the premium, and the ultra premium. My new favorite place to get a great deal on wine. If you want a bargain but are tired Yellow Tail, you should get in there to mix and match a case. Individual bottles are about $12, which is already inexpensive, but they are always running deals on cases. Just bought 6 bottles for $45 +tax (one was a premium bottle). Deb is extremely nice and happy to help you find anything you need, and she will sign you up for their email list so you know when to go in for the real deals. Also she told me there is a loyalty program, which I assume eventually gets you either a discount or a free bottle, but I didn't ask, just signed up. Since I don't want this to look like a total paid post, I will complain about something: The place is not super well organized, and they don't have shelves, just wine all over tables, stacked crates, and the floor, so you have to hunch/crouch to see half of the selection. When you initially walk in, the place doesn't seem too big, but they have a variety of great wines and from different regions too. The wines they carry are typically from wine clubs, but they also usually source from family-owned cellars and boutique cellars, so you won't see the typical wines sold at Kroger, Party Source, Trader Joe's, etc. here! The lady that helped me was very nice, accommodating, and gave her honest recommendations. Their Cellar Select wines (which is most of their selection) are usually $12/bottle, with more expensive options as well. If you sign up for their emails, they'll let you know when they have sales (they've had a Harvest Sale for $100/case (12 bottles), but then they also had a Columbus Day sale for $90/case!!! Their prices for value are seriously great AND you can mix and match! I ended up buying a Cellar Select 6 pack ($60). They also have a referral program where if someone referred you, you give Wine Cellar Outlet their name and you get a bonus bottle!
