One of the top places to visit in Carmel Valley Village! Great service! Food is comforting and delicious. All the special drinks are very tasty! [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you want to soak up the sun they have a wonderful patio with a view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Absolute must if you are in the area. Side note: There is a bocci ball court and corn hole!

BLT special, Joyce Rose and blonde ale.

This is by far our favorite place to go in the valley. They always have an amazing selection of local wines and beers and the food is fantastic. Everyone here is so kind and welcoming, and their patio is my favorite place to be on a sunny day! Not to mention they share their space with two other tasting rooms that are also fucking delightful.

Came here with my mom, grandma, and her friends, and we had an amazing time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outdoor area is spacious, making it perfect for relaxing while enjoying the fantastic selection of wines.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started with the rosé and finished two bottles way too quickly--lol! The staff were incredibly friendly and personable, which added to the great experience. You can also order food, which looked incredible, though we didn't get around to eating... just drinking haha. This was my second time here, and I'll definitely be returning to The Wine House next time I'm in town!

Good selection of wine, beer, and small bites. The staff was friendly and made good recommendations. Lots of seating outside. While we were there, there was live music. Good views of the scenery as well price was a little on the high side, though expected for that area.

Great selection of wine and ciders.

Loved this place and I'm glad I got to try it out before a reservation at Cafe Rustica. It became the highlight of my night! Our server Sam was so sweet and he offered us some pecans and chips with our drinks. The pecans were delicious! They remind me of the spiced pecans at Jeffries. I had a glass of rosè and it was so crisp and refreshing. Refrigerated at just the right temperature My boyfriend had a Pinot noir and he said it was a little too light for his liking. I tasted it and I agree it was lacking some depth. The ambiance and decor at this establishment was really what got me head over heals. It's so chic in here and so instagram worthy! Definitely coming back to play some games.

Trendy wine place that also serves beers for those who are not big wine fans. Good selection of bottles and glasses. The food is delicious and a good variety- cheese boards to grilled cheese and specials of the day. The outside is wonderful. Would love to stay here all day. Comfy seating, bocce ball, and cornhole. Relaxing environment and is a mix of the beer and wine cultures. Service is great! A must stop at place if you are in Carmel Valley Village!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this place! It's so pretty, relaxing, the food/wine is really good, and they have live music on Friday evenings! What more could you ask for!

The Wine House in Carmel Valley is such an amazing spot!!! The Service is outstanding with a variety of super tasty beers and wines to choose from along with some epic small plates. They also have out door fire pits and bocce ball : ). On top of all that there is two of my favorite tasting rooms on site Joyce Vineyards and Testarossa Vineyards. The site is a perfect setting for anyone wanting to enjoy an amazing day in Carmel Valley! Cheers

Roslyn, the owner, was there at the bar counter, never came by to say hello, how was your meal, thank you for coming, ZIP, so we won't be back, very unprofessional. My girlfriend also secretly mentioned it was a birthday celebration, to no acknowledgment, which doesn't work in a small town. Sad, but true.

She has curated a fantastic selection of small production boutique wines. It's obvious she is very picky about what she will serve in her establishment because honestly they are all delicious and great quality. The location itself is just gorgeous. Local art is featured on the walls. The bar seating is comfortable and there are some tables as well. Overall, just a wonderful place to hang out. The thing that makes Vin special is that every single wine is available by the glass! We are talking a lot of wines. It's a wonderful opportunity to try something you won't find in the grocery store. She offers three flights as well; Swirl which is a mix of whites and reds, Savor which is all reds and Sparkle obviously champagnes. In addition, she offers cheese and charcuterie boards curated by The Meatery and a Tahini Fudge Brownie which is baked exclusively for Vin by Sweet Reba's. What would be a more perfect pairing with a nice red....wine and chocolate are just so good together! We stopped in most recently on a Friday night and were treated to live music by Bro. Great singer who was just perfect for the wine room. Roslyn does not carry any local wines which is fine by me. If I want a local wine I can stop at Taste of Monterey or the tasting room itself. When I am in the mood for something truly special, I'll definitely be stopping in Vin. The wines rotate so there is always something new to try. If you have not yet been, run, don't walk. You are in for a real treat!

I came here as part of the Carmel Wine Walk activity where you can do a tasting of 3 wine "routes"…read moreand get a complementary light bite. The routes you can choose are reds, whites, or sparkling (3 of each). And your bite is either olives or fries. I also got a small portion of yummy popcorn. I picked the "sparkling" route. There are so many options. I really liked the Cremant de loire chenin brut nature as it was the driest and lightest out of the 3 I had. I then had a Chardonnay from Monterey which of course was dry but had a deeper flavor. Lastly was their driest champagne but it was more fruit/tart forward than the former 2. The inside is beautiful. Although it's a darker color scheme they have the wall of the street-facing side opened up to give a bigger feeling. Then there are a few smaller tables outside in the courtyard. There are heaters too in case it gets chilly. It was so peaceful and quiet the afternoon we came. Away from the bustling streets. It's very dog friendly as the owner's dog also resides at the restaurant to pleasantly greet guests. Service was great. So friendly and Very knowledgeable about their wines. Checked on me frequent enough. Helped fill up the water bottle for my dogs. This is a lovely little spot and I do recommend it.

Upon entry, we were heartily greeted by the owner and staff. There were only a couple tables left on the main floor as there was a large party of fifteen people seated in most of the main dining area. It was extremely loud with voices reverberating because of the gregarious group. The owner invited us upstairs to see if a high-bar table would be suitable. The table was quite small even though it overlooked the entire first level, so we declined as another table by the front windows had become available. The Charcuterie + Cheese board was a wonderful start to the evening. It consisted of prosciutto di parma, sopressata, duck prosciutto, bella vitano, triple cream brie, chèvre, almonds, and fig jam served with sliced grilled sourdough. Delish. We enjoyed their Sauteed Rock Cod entrée which consisted of pan-fried cod served with potato puree, artichokes + capers in a Meyer lemon brown butter sauce. The portion was of moderate size, and the dish was excellently prepared and plated. In addition, we had the Drunken Skillet Seared Octopus, which was a nice portion of octopus in a preserved black-bean honey sauce, along with Chef Jerry's seasoning. I recommend this starter as an appetizer or as a main entrée for a light appetite. All was quite delicious. This is an intimate venue for wonderfully prepared meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a little lacking which could account for the bad acoustic issue. The service is outstanding as the staff was attentive and watchful without interrupting the customer's dining experience. A serious negative would be that the restrooms are not located on the main dining level, and could pose a problem for patrons who need assistance. Food 4.9 Atmosphere 3.7 Service 4.9
