Booking this tour was a FANTASTIC idea. Our driver, Dustin was so relaxed and easy going, which really made the tour a pleasure. We relied on his winery suggestions, all of which were great! Our tour included stops at 5 winery tasting rooms AND lunch (my husband and I requested that we stop at Farmstand 46 - yummy!) so all in all it was well worth the cost per person!! A major perk was that all the wineries we visited waved their $5-$10 tasting fees because we were with The Wine Line. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone wine tasting in Paso, and I hope to book them for my girlfriend's bachelorette party in Santa Barbara next month!!! read more

I don't know what we would have done without the Wine Line! Making someone be DD on a wine-tasting trip sounds like cruel and unusual punishment (although the man at the hotel did kindly warn us where the nearby DUI checkpoints would be). Anyhow, the service was great, our driver Robert was very friendly and patient with us. He offered a few good suggestions and even waited for us to hit up one last winery after our tour was already supposed to be over. Like everyone else said, they were also very flexible and left us plenty of time at each winery we went to, even waited around for us at a few of the ones we needed longer at. For only $50/person they will drive you to the wineries of your choice and offer some good recommendations. You even get discounts at some places for riding with the Wine Line. I loved the Wine Line! I bought the Groupon for me and my sister and it was an awesome deal. We went on the Santa Barbara tour. I would totally do this wine tour again- we hit up smaller wineries that I may not have otherwise found out about. You get picked up at your hotel or wherever you parked, they drive you around and you don't have to worry about driving. It's so pretty, that the drive alone is totally worth it! We had a great time on the Wine Line! Jason was very accommodating, letting me re-schedule with no hassle when things came up at work. Our driver Chris (oh Chris, I hope I have your name right! I didn't write it down) was right on time, picked us up at the door to our motel in Paso, and was a really nice guy to spend the day with. REALLY nice to leave the driving to him, too. We get to gabbing sometimes, but Chris waited patiently for us at every stop. He also gave us his honest opinions when we asked for them. Gotta love that. Our favorite stop was at the Rotta Winery. We had a great tasting experience there. The woman that was pouring for us is a chef, so we had marvelous discussions on food pairings. That made it even more fun. We did take Jason up on his offer to ride with the Wine Line again. We had a very good experience including a stop at Shale Oak Winery that was wonderful. Even though things went well, I am hesitant to book again. I think the most frustrating part of dealing with this company is the excellent experience IF they meet their commitment to pick you up. Working with Jason we picked four wineries to visit on the west side of Paso (Grey Wolf, J Dusi, Austin Hope and Red Soles - Grey Wolf was our hands down favorite). We were lucky enough to have the van to ourselves and to have Spencer as our driver. He would walk us into the winery, introduce us to staff then disappear for a while only to miraculously reappear just when we started to think it might be time to move on. My friend and I booked a semi-private all-inclusive tour on a weekday. Due to Covid we had Maury to ourselves for the full day. We booked one winery outside the all-inclusive, which also worked out well. They booked our preferred wineries and delivered our lunch. Can had water and chips. He checked on us occasionally, but the day just flew by. He brought the wine to the van and repacked it into one case, keeping all the fancy bags the wine came in. The only downside is the van was a little loud, we would have liked more info from Maury but it was hard to hear. Would totally use this service again. read more

My husband and I were visiting Paso Robles wine country for the first time, and had never done any actual visits to wineries before, so we chose The Wine Line to help us get acquainted with the area and walk us through the visiting and tasting process for the wineries. Our driver Spencer was absolutely fantastic. He was prompt in picking us up, was very personable and informative, and just overall provided a very pleasant experience. We had just enough time at each winery that we visited, and never felt rushed when we weren't completely ready to leave when Spencer came to take us to the next stop. We went with the inclusive package that covered the wine tasting fees and included a very excellent lunch, which I think was a very good value. Four wineries in one day was definitely the right number, and every one that we visited was very welcoming, informative, and willing to answer every question we had. (Biggest one was what was the best restaurant in the area - McPhee's in Templeton was the overwhelming answer, and we went there the following evening, and they did not disappoint, but that's another review.) My boyfriend and I had a great time on the Wine Line a few weeks ago. They had Covid precautions in place and we never felt at risk while on our tour. The guys were very knowledgeable about the area and were just fun to talk to in general. Very cool dudes. The Wine Line is a great and safe way to enjoy Paso with friends. The drivers are very knowledgable about the area and are very professional. They showed up on time and were very accommodating to everyones desires. There was an incident at one of the tasting rooms, where a server was extremely rude and out of line, Chris, our driver, made a point to go back inside and speak to the manager. He tried to remedy the situation the best he could and that was greatly appreciated. I do suggest not purchasing the "packed lunch" and asking the driver to take you to the farm stand. (the same place they purchase the packed lunches) A couple on the same bus as us pre paid for the lunch and our food looked so much better than their standard turkey sandwich. Next year I will definitely be reserving a seat on The Wine Line. read more
