Used to love happy hour at this place. Today, we found out that they've severely limited their happy hour menu, they've completely removed one of our favorite drinks from the menu, and now they charge an extra dollar to put an ice cube in your drink! We won't be back anytime soon. read more

First time here. We had the Scarbrough Fries to start with and they were AMAZING. Hot the whole time we ate them. I ordered the Chicken and Waffle and my husband the Chicken Fried Filet and Eggs. My only issues with both of these were that there was more breading on the meats than meat. Aside from that food was AMAZINGLY good! read more

Arrived 5PM on Saturday night. We were a party of four. Got seated promptly, drink orders take quickly by friendly server. He offered some suggestions and gave us adequate time to review the menu. I ordered the Banana Pepper Caesar salad and Jerk Chicken Lettuce cups from the "Small and shared" menu. The salad was just ok because I didn't care for the salad dressing. The jerk chicken lettuce cups came out very pretty but that's as good as it gets. I was disappointed that the chicken was dark meat instead of chicken breast meat. I believe it was grilled but I could not taste any type of seasoning on it. I had expected somewhat highly seasoned chicken. I don't care for dark meat. That should be designated on the menu. Overall, a bbland combination. My husband had the stacked enchiladas which he rated a 4 by themselves but he was put off by the very loud "hard to have a conversation" kind of music. One of our party said his meatloaf was pretty good but the other party felt her salad was too much greens and not enough toppings. She also ordered the Scarborough Fries which we all sampled. One of the best restaurants in Norman Oklahoma. Owners are hands on and hire local. Food is delicious, innovative and prepared correctly. Service is quick friendly and everyone seems to work as a team. Absolutely love the fact that even though it's a hot spot socially..Don't hesitate to bring the family or solo! I always go alone. 6-23 I'm 63 they treat me like a queen. I only mention it because at some restaurants that have a huge clientele of young folks (their major base) other restaurants discourage seniors. I felt totally taken care of and wanted. This place has great atmosphere, service, and an incredible bar menu along with some great food. They have outdoor seating. I have been here a few times, and each time, I have enjoyed the food. They have fresh & creative dishes. Be sure to try something out of your normal choice. I tried their chicken parmesan on sweet potato spaghetti. The parm was very flavorful & moist. The sweet potato was refreshing and had a slight sweetness. Other than the color, if I didn't know it was sweet potato, I wouldn't have known the difference. A great way to save a few calories & carbs. Their old fashions are fantastic. I have been on nightscwhere they do a flight of Whisky & a night they had a flight of tequila. Both were excellent! I highly recommend this place for dinner. They do have brunch, but I have never been. read more

Two Dolla Tuesdays are a favorite of ours at The Winston. We love all the food items and order it all to share. Don't discount the veggie tacos, they are just as good as the chicken and shrimp tacos! This visit we were jonesing for more Buffalo wontons and fries so we ordered more. Always great service and atmosphere to go with the delicious food. I'll give the Winston three stars just because of the cool atmosphere. The pancakes that I had tasted like they were sitting on the back burner way too long and could've easily been used for frisbee disc golf. The lump of brown sugar put on top of the pancakes was way way overkill. The eggs were pre-peppered, which is a jump to a conclusion-that a customer actually wants pepper on the eggs. The sausages which aggregated to the total of two were about the size of a quarter each. My guests plate was OK but they said it was warm and not hot. Most people enjoy a hot breakfast. PS. No need for staff to send me a note with respect to this rating and ask for my email or phone number so they can contact me. That won't happen. I know the Winston has many good ratings, but our breakfast candidly sucked. We will return at some point, and give them another whirl & even though our waiter was brand new & being trained, it's no excuse for the cook with respect to the delivery of the food that existed, and was not eaten on our plate. I am very confident that Hal would not feel that our experience at his place was copacetic. read more

Went here for the first time today and had a fabulous experience! The atmosphere is great and the food is even better. The menu has lots of options and they offer brunch options on Saturdays and Sundays with the fluffiest, most delicious scrambled eggs I have ever had. My husband who is often unimpressed by restaurant food commented that the wedge salad was the best wedge salad he has ever eaten in OKC. Service was on point and price for menu items was fair. My wife and I went with another couple on a Tuesday evening. The place was busier than you would expect on a weeknight which let us know that this was a popular downtown spot. We were seated immediately and were waited on promptly. We decided to order a variety of appetizers and drinks. Xitlali was an excellent server and came by frequently to check on us. She was a credit to the establishment. We ordered the Cheesy Crab Dip, Buffalo Chicken Wontons, Chicken Crumble Flatbread, and Spicy Chicken Nachos. Everything was well plated and delicious. The Chicken Crumble Flatbread was the surprising favorite, but all of the appetizers were great! The drinks were all very tasty. We had a couple of Chip-Otle Off the Old Block, a couple of Frozen Watermelon Frescas, and a Sangria Spritz. I especially enjoyed the flavor of the Chi-Otle. Highly recommend this establishment. It is a Hal Smith restaurant, which you really can't go wrong with any restaurant in their chain. Everything exceeded our expectations. read more

Happy hour is mon-fri 4-6pm. The Cocktails are very  good and strong. Love the frozen watermelon fresca (tropic like it's hot) pinapple rum cream liquor and ginger is like vacation in a cup! The royal tea is great. It comes with a real flower.... Beautifully crafted Blame it on my juice was another well executed libation. Loved Winston's spin on a Moscow mule. The truffle burger was #smacktastic The truffle sauce  was superb! I highly recommend the waffle grilled cheese and the best tomato soup I've ever tasted! The soup was rich and hearty. I added some avocado slices and it was amazing! Its not like any other typical tomato-based soup! The lamb meatballs are excellent! I really liked the spring salad. The lemon vinaigrette is great. I asked for extra. It has feta cheese, blueberries, and pecans. It all works together! The drunken tuna ceviche was an awesome starter.  They  topped with hot sauce. You'll  want to squeeze a couple of limes to give it that zang flavor! For dessert the angel bourbon pound cake is Devine! The grilled chicken  salad with chili lime (The  dressing  was more on the sweet side.) During Norman's restuarant week The Winston featured a flatbread pizza withvCalulini , lemon , bacon, Cheddar & parsley with Mike's Hot honey as the sauce base. A drizzle of balsamic gave a better balance of this unique sweetness sauce base of the flatbread pizza. I can't wait to try brunch and the filet mignon. read more

Such a cute little place. Greeted at the door and seated promptly with a vase of water was really lovely. The menu had a lot of different choices. We choose the Enchiladas and Zoodles which was to our liking. Server was attentive at 1st and then kind of stayed away... never ask us if he could refill our empty vase of water or if we wanted other drinks. All in all it was a great visit with good food.
