I was trying to use my house Wi-Fi for the TV and other electronics in the garage. I also run a podcast from the garage, so having reliable connection is paramount. Chris came out and gave me several options. I did not want to have to dig up concrete or grass to run conduit in a direct line. Chris figured out a P2P system for me. In the house, my speed is 1GB. Now in the garage my speed is about 982 Mbps. AMAZING. It's not just that. he cleaned up all of my wires, tying them together, and it was like better than before he was here. I am completely impressed and happy with my new service that Chris provided. If you have networking needs, Chris is your guy.

I called Pensive and Chris fit us in right away - he quickly identified the problems (and there were many), worked to get us a temp fix and then came back a few days later to install new wiring, and set up a mesh system that actually works! Chris is not only great at what he does, he's friendly, takes the time to explain what he did (so that I can do my best to maintain it), gave me tons of advice, "future-proofed" the installation in case I wanted to switch to fiber optic and was incredibly patient with my dogs who loved him and wanted to "help." If you're having trouble with your home network, Chris at Pensive is the only guy you need to call!!

Then I showed him a doorknob lock that needed to be repaired. That was fixed in no time. Both repairs took about 80 minutes. When the industry and local price standard ranges from $125-$160. There's two ways most locksmiths open home doors, one is a pump mechanism and the other is damaging the actual lock. I've been locked out of my house a few times over the years and I've never had to get my actual lock damaged but this company believed the pump mechanism would damage my entire door frame and that damaging my lock would be a better option. After opening my door via damaging the lock, I asked for the total and the guy said $325 TO MY SURPRISE. Keep in mind I am a woman and male service providers always believe that can just get over. I called my partner and he asked for a price breakdown. The "owner" or "manager" stated the $75 "service fee" if for when the employees simply come out. NEVER heard of that before. Okay fair, $325 minus $75 is $250. WHAT STANDARD LOCK for a regular front door warrants $250 replacement fee? Please DO NOT use this company. SHADY and disappointed to receive this level of service.
