I'm glad I did not do business with this driving school. They have bad reviews and honestly should not be in business. If you are thinking about learning to drive well or have your son or daughter learn very important driving skills, this is the place! My daughter, Laura, took 10 hours of lessons from Tammie. The instructor was absolutely wonderful, knowledgable, and extremely patient. Laura learned how to parallel park, do 3 point turn arounds, drive for 35 mins coming, then returning along Mackland Rd, and a bunch of stuff I can't even remember what all on the first day out! The lessons for parking and turn around, etc., were done at the school's convenient location. I had only previously had my daughter drive for me in our suburban neighborhood, barely getting up to 30 mph, and she did a little driving in a huge church parking lot with some parking. After each class with Tammie, Laura was so excited and inspired to do and learn more, and she was so confident! One lesson was specifically for night driving. As soon as Laura completed that class, she was ready to drive me to Powder Springs and back to Smyrna at night. She did great! I am so proud of her. Tammie and Laura had their last lesson today, and it was specifically for highway driving. The traveled 1-285 and I-20 up to Douglas county, and Laura learned how to merge properly. Laura has gained an immense amount of driving skills, courage, and a ton of confidence from Tammie's incredible teaching abilities. Tammie was so positive and just a joy to work with. Next week, Laura will be taking her driving test at the school, and I think the cost and time for the classes and the test have all been well worth it. I remember so well how I felt when taking my driving test many moons ago in the state of Florida; I was shaking in my boots. We actually drove around and executed all the actions Laura learned, while I was being graded. I am amazed I was able to execute parallel parking well enough to pass while driving a huge land yachts (either a New Yorker or Charger) from the 70's. We were forgiven for completely missing a class, we were in Decatur at the Vet with some sick kitties. The class had slipped my mind completely. It was easy to reschedule with the office. This company is an absolute SCAM!!!!!!! I paid for 6 hrs including pick up and drop off, and a defensive driving course. They never responded to my initial texts. When I finally spoke to someone, I was told to login and sign up for lessons. There were TWO lessons available...but not for 2-3months out...and during the school day!!! (For HS students???) I called to request a refund and was told they'd find my daughter availability before school started. I have been back and forth with the lady-who I've requested a refund from NUMEROUS TIMES. They no longer offer the def.driving course I paid for. She told me today (July 16th)there are 2 lessons available in SEPTEMBER. SMH. Again, asked for a refund. Asked for a supervisor. She refuses to give me the owner's name or a refund. Told me she's "accommodating me" but now I have to drive my daughter to their office!!! I paid for pickup at home!! After numerous requests, I have gotten nowhere. This company is incredibly unprofessional, a huge SCAM. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!! I am so disappointed and disgusted!!! I paid $405 for my daughter to learn to drive and get her defensive driving certificate. I THOUGHT I had found a wonderful school, but I was truly wrong. The driver showed up early to pick her up, I had to complain. My daughter cancelled one time for the defensive driving class but they kept cancelling. Then had the audacity to lie on her. They told me if there are not enough students for that class, they don't have it. Well, I wish they had told me that before they took my $$. Then they told me, I did not pay extra for the class, that class was free. WOW! I stutter & they THOUGHT they would talk all over me. They put me on hold without asking; they were just rude!! I decided to set my daughter up with this school based on reviews. Needless to say the experience was horrible. I signed her up for classes the end of June. I called to schedule her first lesson for 7/5/2021. The night before her appointment I received an email it was cancelled . Called the next day to figure out why and was told by the receptionist that the employee that works my area has quit and there wont be any more openings for another month. I advised i didn't want to wait that long and wanted to be refunded. She gave me a number to text the owner and ask which i felt was very unprofessional. I text the owner Emmett that assured me he would fit her in sometime the next following week and have her done by the end of the month. Never received a call. I sent him a message and advised i did not wish to reschedule and would like my money refunded. He advised in his text to allow 2 weeks for the refund. I waited 2 weeks he then is very rude and advises it takes 21 days smh. Long story short we went back and fourth in a series of messages where he was very rude. At the end of the call i told him to let the banks handle it because i called and spoke with my bank for a dispute. It is a shame I had to go through any of this for a refund for an issue they were having with staffing. If there was a way to leave 0 stars I would. If you want to deal with professionals don't deal with this company. read more

I put my oldest through Wiser Driver to work on night driving, highways etc, in 2019 and was pleased with them at that time. Now, I need to do the same with my youngest and am concerned with the most recent review as, I know things change and the pandemic has changed work models but, you are only as good as your people. I purchased the 6 hours + exam package ($385) but I was trained for only 4 hours, without reaching the exam stage. It was a pain to get in touch with the Wiser Driver employees through call and text. Emmett, the owner and my instructor stopped replying to my text messages when I asked to schedule my remaining lessons. When I had my last lesson scheduled, it was automatically canceled by the time I logged in to the system to check the status the evening prior to my lesson day. During the first two sessions, It was a hassle to schedule a time for the class because of last-minute cancellations from the Wiser Driver team. I purchased the $380 drivers class package. Throughout this entire process i encountered so many errors with this company it was ridiculous. My first teacher, james seemed very uninterested in what was going on. He let me get into a car and drive without directing me on how to adjust my mirrors or anything! When we started practicing the parallel parking, 3 point turn part of the class he seemed very agitated that i was making minor mistakes yet he didn't take the time to patient or make me feel encouraged. My second teacher valerie was better than my first calm and patient. The only reason this place got two stars was because of my third teacher clifford! He took the time to explain things thoroughly enough for me to feel encouraged enough to get it right , we practiced over and over until i got better and better. He was humorous during training which made me relax a little bit. I reached out to the manager about replacing my first class with another class or refund. He stated i could not get a refund. But, that he would submit another class for me to schedule with cliff again in place of my first. The manager never submitted it even though i followed his instructions. My package also stated that it included a defensive driver class i never recieved that either. I am unsure about using them in the future. read more

Do not waste your time unless you have a lot to waste. It takes 3 months to get 3 driving lessons in. They cancel due to light rain outside when it would be the best time to train for driving in the rain. The instructor won't return calls that are made in attempts to get lessons complete. The instructor who is the owner promises to call and schedule next lesson but doesn't. He then places blame for his poor scheduling on the office staff and software programming. I recommend going somewhere where you will be able to complete lessons while you are still young enough to drive and be able to communicate with a professional business. read more

I would never recommend this driving company!!! And I wish that others that had a bad experience would have written a review before I wasted $180 with them. First, it was an issue with scheduling the drive. Their form of communication is through text message. Very unprofessional. Second, it was supposed to be a one on one driving lesson. My daughter was paired with another teen. The instructor told me that this was better because they tend to learn from each other. I can understand that. But, it should be a cheaper price for group sessions. I requested a report of my daughter's driving since the report was never uploaded in Drive Scout. I would have even taken an over the phone report, but no such thing happened. I couldn't schedule another driving session for 6 weeks. That's a long time between driving sessions. The second session, my daughter drove alone. This was even worse than the group session. My daughter informed me that she drove on the highway and on back roads. And that was fine. The driver falling asleep while my daughter was driving was not fine. She said he started snoring while she was driving. AND I still didn't receive a driving report after this driving session. Please spend your money on another company. This company is unprofessional, unresponsive and a waste of money!! UPDATE::: I am NOT another driving school. Furthermore, I don't want a refund from the company or any type of resolution to my experience. I am a parent who paid for four hours of driving lessons in April and June. I just want to make sure others know that when choosing this company, this type of service and behavior is possible. I called the company as suggested yesterday after a second message from the owner asking "who are you". If I told him my name, would he know who I was? Probably not. So, why ask who am I as if that would make my review null and void. No. I talked to the woman who answered the phone after she said that the owner was busy with a driver (although he responded to me twice on Yelp within 20 mins). Then she stated that he must have been on a break and she could handle my issue. So, I repeated to her all the points I had written on Yelp. I told her my daughter's name and when she had her two lessons. Her main defense was that I waited so long to write a review. Technically, it has been less than two months since my daughter's last lesson. I am a business woman who travels and I did not have time to write the review until yesterday. However, if I had waited two years, instead of two months, it wouldn't have changed my experience and my choice to write an honest review. Her reason for not filling out the report card was that it's for instructor use only to write notes and Drive Scout is only for parents/students to schedule lessons because "she doesn't know how people run their households". I have no idea what running a household has to do with your company's scheduling website. And, I find that really hard to believe that the report is for internal use only. But, let's just say that is how they handle the feedback portion. As a parent, if I call and ask for feedback, they should be responsive to that request and provide it. Also, she kept stating that her company was a five star company. She had never had a negative review. And she is absolutely right because it's the reason why I picked them as well. However, that does not negate the experience that I personally had. My daughter even reminded me yesterday that during their first drive, the instructor had her stop at the Quik Trip so the instructor could use the bathroom and buy snacks. AND he was using his phone during their drive. And lastly, I did not wait to schedule another lesson. I scheduled a follow up lesson the same day that my daughter completed her first lesson. I texted the company (because this is their form of communication) regarding my daughter getting a sooner date. He said that he would be opening up some more time slots because he is bringing some more instructors on board. He never communicated or followed up with a sooner date. So, I kept the date that I scheduled, which was approximately 5-6 weeks after her first lesson. I write reviews for companies all the time. Good and bad. I would never make up a story about a company if I had stellar service/experience. I will not change my story or delete my review. And the conversation yesterday with the "office manager" further proves my point of how unprofessional they are because she hung up the phone on me at the end. read more

Don't waste your time here - go to a place that is better organized and informs the kids what they need for the DDS test (Josh Law Certificate, etc). The 6 hours of driving and the online course (which only costs 19.95 by the way and anyone can sign up for it) is not worth the $$ (~$200) I spent. I signed her up early (1 year in advance) and they deactivated her login because she hadn't logged in awhile, after getting that all straightened out the online course takes a few days to send the certificate so she was unable to get her test as scheduled. I would have been better off going to a different company that actually teaches the Joshua Law course in the classroom (offered in the summer in the schools) or just paying the $19.95 and having her take the online joshua course herself. The upcharge is not worth it with the disorganization. read more

I had to attend this course because it was court ordered but I will say that a lot of laws have changed since I got my license. I learned a lot. That said I think they should allow you to get the information off of a computer and not have to pay the $95. The owner of the school taught the one day class for 7 hours and he made it very entertaining , not boring at all. We had a one hour lunch and several breaks between the videos. I did not know that you can take the course and remove points from your license or even reduce your insurance premiums. Sometimes if you take the course before going to court to plea your innocence and tell the judge you have taken the course they will not fine you but I did not learn that info. till it was too late. read more
