I'm really not sure how any reviews are above one star; the review from Apple S. and Kristen S. specifically explain pretty much what I experienced with my first visit to this the Celebration location of TWC with Dr. Priya Patel. To begin, I will give some background on myself; I have diagnosed generalized anxiety and also have had breast cancer in the past, which are reasons I haven't seen a doctor for awhile because I have a lot of anxiety around doctor offices. I also have previously had Pap tests done in the past which have been somewhat painful if the doctor is not careful while inserting the device used for the exam. Now for my experience; I basically was asked to give a urine test as mentioned by Michelle Z. in her review without any kind of explanation for why they wanted one, then I was called into the office where I spoke with the nurse and answered a bunch of questions, the nurse actually seemed nice and was helping me feel a bit more at ease in my already anxious state of mind. Finally, Dr. Patel comes in, pretty much asks me the same questions the nurse just asked me and as I was answering them, was basically interrupting me and rushing me through the answers. Right before the exam began, I asked her if she could please try to be careful while inserting the device because I have experienced pain in the past from that, and her response was something along the lines of, "Oh ok, now I am your employee I guess, I'll just be your employee". It was a very snide and rude remark and not really sure where that came from nor why she thinks it is ok to talk to her patients that way. Of course at that point, my anxiety became heightened. Once the exam was over, I was trying to ask her questions because I experience very painful periods and this was mentioned before the exam as well right around the time she was asking me questions which the nurse had already asked; she basically was just rushing me, didn't seem like she wanted to talk to me at all, and was trying to head out of the door. Overall, I would not recommend this doctor specifically; she didn't really answer any of my questions and came across as very rude and crass. It basically felt like she was talking down to me the entire time. Oh and one last thing; the Pap test apparently takes 2-3 weeks for results! I've had a regular pap done at my primary before and received the results within minutes, so I'm really not sure why it takes so long for this place to do that. read more

If you're looking for specialists in endometriosis, this is NOT the place. While their website may say otherwise, they do not care or want to look into endometriosis. I went here specifically hoping to get an official diagnosis, and everything I brought up was always "normal." Painful periods? Oh, that's fine. Giant clots? Totally normal Bleeding from ovulation to period (3 weeks out of the month) oh if you took the birth control we gave you, that wouldn't happen. the same birth control I told them gave me awful side effects to begin with, which is why I wasn't on it. Dr. Patel told me I don't want to worry myself with any kind of surgery because I'll "find my prince charming one day, and it'll change my mind on having children." There was even an exam where the Dr pulled out a "polyp" and just acted like it was totally normal and sent me on my way. After requesting documents from this place, I read notes that the staff had made, making it sound like I didn't even know my own body. Saying they found my septated uterus and when they asked me about I said "I forgot I had one" If you don't have insurance, don't both. They assume anyone without insurance can't afford the help they need. I was flat out told... without knowing anything about my financial situation....that I could never afford the surgery I was asking about. This place is the epitome of medical gaslighting. Please, save yourself and don't go. 2 years after my last appointment there, I've now been diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis that they COULD HAVE FOUND SOONER if they had listened and done their job as "experts". read more

It's August 2024 and this practice in Celebration is still making guests wait outside until the patient is ready to seen! The pandemic is long over, this policy makes zero sense! Everytime me and my wife go to her appointment the receptionist informs me that I will need to wait outside the office until my wife is called, even when the waiting room area is completely empty! I recently asked the receptionist why this is this the policy and she told me she actually had no idea but the doctors told her to still enforce it. Wow! I've never heard of a policy like this at any doctors office in my life and it needs to change! It's ridiculous that I cannot sit by my wife while she waits to be called and have to go sit back in my car or stand out in the hot sun. If this office is worried about overcrowding in the waiting room then make a policy that all guests have to give up their seats to any patient but to make us wait outside is absurd! read more

Unfortunately I had a bad experience with this location. I had my appointment scheduled for over 3 weeks and when I arrived today they told me they no longer accept my insurance. My insurance should have been verified before my appointment, so to drive 40 minutes to Celebration and be told to leave was frustrating and sad. The receptionist had to call two people, from other offices, to verify if they took Tricare. Also, she mentioned that she did NOT want to get in trouble. It's such a shame that not only do they have weak operational standards that they do NOT take Tricare anymore, the main insurance product for military families. read more

Scheduling an appointment with Dr. Priya Patel is very stressful. It's ridiculous, this is my 4th attempt to schedule my appointment on Saturday due to my work availability but every single time, she cancelled. It keeps showing she's available but every time it's cancelled last minute. Very annoying and they don't even give options. No matter what I schedule 4-5 months or 3weeks in advance still cancelled. Why bother showing you're available on Saturday if you can't accommodate. I give up on this company. They don't care about their patients time, because they already have a lot of patients and get their money out of it, who cares about new patients right? I don't recommend. A lot of reviews here are not accurate at all, if I can give 0 stars I would. read more

I wouldn't recommend this office. The front desk was kind and took good care of me and that's where all the good things ended. I was asked to do a urine test without explanation of why. To this day, I have not received the results and I had my appointment about a year ago. The nurse was very rude when asking about medical history. I have several issues that I'm dealing with and she couldn't be bothered to write them all down. Couldn't these issues be relevant especially the ones dealing with my endocrine system? That system and the reproductive system crossover quite a bit. They give you paper dressing to cover yourself up. They don't work for anyone who is more overweight. Mine tore at the slightest movement. Dr. Patel was sick when she saw me. I don't understand why she didn't cancel. She basically put me at risk of getting sick. Luckily I didn't but it was inappropriate. Dr. Patel was very condescending and not very approachable. I understand that I am overweight, but she kept focusing on that and as a result it didn't feel like she did a thorough examination because my weight was the only thing she kept focusing on. She didn't care that I'm seeing an endocrinologist who is helping me and didn't care to hear about my medical issues that the nurse didn't write down completely. She just kept getting on to me for my weight. She also got a bit annoyed when I corrected her on a common issue that women have which I do. She tried to immediately believe something is wrong with me. If there was, my doctor that I had back in TX would've caught it a long time ago and she's the one who caught many of my medical issues. She also didn't give me much time to ask questions or to establish trust with her. She basically ran out of the room with her nurse. I had to call the office back because she didn't send through my prescription for my birth control. The lady at the front desk had to take care of it. Now, I keep getting spammed in various ways to book this year's appointment with her. Nonstop texts, emails, voicemails. No thanks. I'm good. I will find someone much better. read more

Inconsistent policies. Wife and I have been coming here regularly for OB appointments for 7 months of pregnancy so far. Fully masked, etc... All of a sudden now after they check my temperature they make me wait outside until the appointment. Wow. read more

The only redeemable quality about this office is the lovely woman who did all my ultrasounds for me. I wish I would've gotten her name because she's amazing. Always going above and beyond to show myself and my fiancé the utmost respect and kindness. Everything else about this place is terrible. It's IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of anyone on the phone. EVER. The only way to try and talk to anyone is to call their call center you're put on hold forever just to be told by an automated message that they can't take your call. I dropped off FMLA forms and paid $20 for them to fill it out supposedly it would take around 1-2 weeks but it took over a month and a half and I had to go to the office and ask what was going on. The woman at the front desk said she'd send an email to the person who fills out FMLA and call me back to update me but never did. I didn't hear anything again until I went to the office for my next appointment. They didn't even fill out the papers correctly they didn't specify how much time my fiancé would need off from work so it was a waste of $20 anyway. I asked the doctor who I can call in case I have any questions or concerns as this is my first pregnant and I was experiencing some severe pain in my lower abdomen during my first trimester and the doctor said "well there's no one here to answer your calls we're short staffed right now I know it's not the answer you want to hear but if you feel like there's something wrong you just have to make an appointment or go to the hospital" lol I was appalled and knew immediately I was going to change offices. Whenever you call to speak to a nurse it says the only option is to log into the patient portal and send a message through there. I did that once and I never heard back from anyone at all lol I'm still waiting to this day and that was a few months ago. The lack of support and resources was insane to me. The hunters creek location is even worse they force you to park your car valet but your partner can't wait inside with you if they're a male. I saw it multiple times where if there was a woman waiting with the patient ie., a friend or mom or sister they didn't question them or send them outside but my fiancé wasn't allowed to wait inside and neither was another woman's husband or even a woman who had a small baby with her who came alone. My biggest regret is visiting the Women's Center of Orlando for so long. Now at 27 weeks pregnant I had to go through the hassle of finding a new practice and going elsewhere. The craziest part of it all was I was talking to a friend I hadn't seen in a while we were discussing doctors offices and she was asking me how my experience has been I explained all the above and she was like "me too!! Where do you go?" I told her the office I had been going to and much to our surprise she was ALSO going to TWC ORLANDO in celebration and she had the same exact experience no way to get a hold of ANYONE. And for the final cherry on top I made an appointment for my 28 weeks at the mew practice I'm going to so I'm trying to call and cancel at the womens center but OF COURSE there's no one there to answer the phone so I have no way to cancel that appointment Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere! read more

This place is ridiculous. I have serious medical questions and can't reach anyone. Sent emails, no replies... called appointments, they didn't find me in the system... called billing and they couldn't help. Like hello this is a serious matter and there is no one helping. Unless you pay hundreds of dollars to make an appointment with ONE SINGLE QUESTION. NO THANK YOU! If I could give 0 I would. It was my first time visiting The Women's Center, the staff were all delightful to interact with. Dr. Patel was also very kind, knowledgeable and reassuring with her diagnosis. Dr. Patel took her time to clarify any concern I had, not to mention Setting up the follow up appointments were a breeze. The office was tidy yet homey. It is extremely difficult trying to get someone on the phone at this office. I've called numerous times and cannot get through. I sent an email 4/21 requesting a copy of my lab script because I misplaced my original and the drs office forgot to give me the second script at my first appointment, and still no one responded to my email. I sent another email 4/26 to cancel my appointment for 4/29 and a Claudia Orozco responded; "Appointment has been cancelled." They completely skipped over my message regarding my lab script for my blood work. Dr Priyah Patel was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable at my appointment; but because of the response from the staff and not being able to get through to the office, I will not return. read more

The Women Center here at Celebration, Florida is the best. Starting from the receptionist, the nurses, sonó tech, and Doctor Patel. They are all kind and welcoming. I was going all over to find a doctor for my fifth pregnancy where I felt comfortable. Went to three doctors until I found the women's center at Celebration. Dr. Patel is awesome.
