This was the worst care I've ever received. I would strongly advise against booking any checkup or Pap smear at this facility, especially the Oviedo location. It honestly felt like a money grab--either to bill insurance or push patients into paying out of pocket. I was encouraged to undergo testing that didn't seem necessary, with language that felt more fear-driven than informative. In the end, everything came back negative, but I was left with a significant medical bill. What was most disappointing was the lack of support afterward. When I called with concerns, I received no real assistance, no reassurance, and not even an apology. Wouldn't respond, wouldnt see me about the issue and then LIED to my face about the results and who read the image. I had an emergency situation (where the emergency room sent me to another gynecologist office who did not take this serious at all(to explain the serious situation is that I have a 9.5 benign tumor growing in my uterus, causing me severe pelvic pain and causing me to hemorrhage and lose tons of blood and I'm not even kidding about the hemorrhaging part) so I ended up leaving there yesterday calling the women's center early this morning and they immediately got me in at 8:45 AM got blood work done on me got me in somewhere to get an MRI at 11:15 AM and made it a start so it would be available in less than 24 hours and then back in for a biopsy procedure tomorrow to send everything to surgeon. Dr. Kareem and staff went above and beyond to take care of me carrying my items for me since again. I am in dire pain. And at one point after she got everything done Dr. Kareem came back in to the room and put her hand on my shoulder to tell me it's OK we're gonna take care of you. I can't tell you the relief that was for me when I had been being dismissed for the last couple years saying that there's nothing that can be done with the pain and we don't know what's causing it. I booked a specific Dr after doing research for what I needed. The previous day I was told I would be given physical paperwork to sign, because I wanted to decline them being able to do a PELVIC EXAM UNDER ANESTHESIA! But I got there and they made me sign on an iPad that did not have the option to decline. I got in the exam room, wanting to discuss this with the Dr. They told me she got pulled out to an emergency at the hospital. They asked if I wanted to wait or be seen my a make Dr on site. I was very adamant that I would wait for her specifically. I marked that I was a victim of sexual abuse, therefore I don't like strangers touching me. It's way worse if it's a man. So I was willing to wait for the female doctor I did research on. Not 10 minutes later the male dr waltzed in like I asked for him to be there. I'm very closed off, short one word answers. He wasn't catching the hint. I told him I wanted to talk to the specific doctor I was originally planning on seeing. He told me he came in so I can get out earlier, (of course, they wanted the room so they could make more money. Eff what I want) so I tell him I'm there for permanent birth control. He asked if I had kids - non of his business, and was told the other doctor would not ask- I told him no. Then he asked, "And you don't want kids?" So I spouted, "Isn't that the point for permanent birth control?!?!" He asks if I want a Pap smear and I told him I didn't want him to touch me. He starts trying to pressure me to get one. I look at him and state "I actually just want to leave!" And so I stormed out and cried in the parking lot for 30 minutes before I could calm down enough to drive. No one reached out to see if I was ok (which is fine. But I would think if you see a woman storm out of your office then collapse in the parking lot crying, you would be concerned. I guess not) I was simply not listened to, the staff were rude and pushy, and they simply could not fathom that I didn't just "go with the flow" and allow them to do whatever they want to do. Dr Kelly Ford was absolutely AH!mazing and is the only reason I'll continue to return. The staff is nice but should be trying to work with the doctor to not schedule appointments so close together since the wait time can easily hit an hour after your scheduled appointment time. I'm currently seeing Dr. Kareem and I love her! I've been seeing her for two years already and what I love about her is that she takes her time with me... listens to my concerns, my 100 questions and addresses each concern. She is frank, though treats me with respect. I love that she is honest and detailed. She is very approachable and sympathetic. I would highly recommend her. In the past I used to see Dr. Forde-Kelly and she is also amazing. She is very sensitive and real and would understand my concerns and was very familiar with latino culture. I do not see her anymore simply because of her schedule being different to my availability, though I highly recommend her as well. On the other hand, I have visited their Kissimmee location, their St. Cloud location and their Oviedo location. Currently, I solely attend their Oviedo location and have no complaints. Staff is friendly and professional, I'm always seen within 15-20 minutes of getting there and I love that Saturdays are an option. I am writing to warn other women about my profoundly disappointing experience with this office. Despite numerous attempts to seek help for a serious health concern, the lack of response and poor handling of my case left me deeply dissatisfied. After my last visit, I reached out via phone and message about continuous bleeding that persisted for a month. This was urgent, yet my messages went unanswered for over two weeks. Forced to visit in person, I was charged $40 just for the privilege of discussing a condition that the doctor had instructed me to monitor and report. On that same day my condition required immediate surgery that same day. This fee was unfair given the critical nature of my situation and the prior lack of communication. On May 8, 2024, my husband and I submitted an FMLA form for his assistance post-surgery. We were told processing would take 1-2 weeks. After hearing nothing, I called on May 30 and was told the form wasn't processed due to an unpaid $20 fee, which was never communicated. I paid and requested to speak to a manager, only to be given an email address. Dr. Ford-Kelly is good, but reaching the office by phone during or after business hours is IMPOSSIBLE. Everything is done via a patient portal, where messages take up to 48 hours to be answered--if they are answered at all. It can take weeks to get a response, assuming the doctor even gets the message. It seems that this office is more focused on extracting money from patients rather than providing the necessary care and support. This entire experience has been incredibly stressful and disappointing. Clear communication and responsiveness are critical in healthcare, and this office has failed in this regard. The lack of communication about necessary fees and the delay in processing important documents have compounded an already challenging situation. I expect better from this practice and hope steps are taken to address these issues to prevent further distress for other patients. read more

Aside from some very strange occurrence that my appointment was canceled hours later during the same day they called me to confirm (because someone mixed up my telephone number--nor was I emailed to contact the office to rectify the situation because my email was correct), I was able to get my same appointment time back. The wait was a little longer than expected but Dr. Kelly and other staff apologized and were very friendly to me. The reviews about Dr. Kelly were right! She works efficiently and with the intent to make sure you feel seen and heard. She answers any questions you may have and is very personable. I'm very glad that I found her on my search for a woman of color GYN. My biggest positive about seeing Dr. Kelly was that she doesn't make you feel judged or ignorant like most GYNs--it's even in the way that she phrases her questions. I went to this doctor for my very first appointment while being pregnant. I saw Dr. Yasmin before going in. I called previously to see if they take my insurance, Florida blue HMO. I was informed that they do yet. I was still charged double my co-pay $310. Even after this, I continue to schedule my appointments. I had severe morning sickness that I was prescribed a pill for. Doctor Yasmin told me to to contact her if I was not holding down as much food as I needed to. I called this office. The options on the phone were to contact on the patient portal online if I have a question and get a call back in 1 to 2 days. They say that you need to book an appointment if you have a question or they don't take questions on the phone. I've put screenshots in this post as to why that's illegal and in some instances medical malpractice. Your doctor needs to take your questions over the phone, especially if you just had an appointment if it's affecting your quality of living, they want me to book an appointment for a week from now and I haven't held down food for two weeks since I seen them. I have also been informed by my insurance that they incorrectly charged me double my co-pay. I have to go back with documentation from my insurance because the women's center incorrectly charged me way too much. I'm clearly about to be a new mom and to charge me double is ridiculous. I finally get on the phone with them and of course they want me to book another appointment for a week from now. They want me to pay another co-pay for the same problem. Run like you are on fire away from this disgrace of a medical practice. If 0 (or less) stars was an option that is what I would give. Not only is the front office staff extremely rude and unhelpful, they behave like it is the last place on earth they would rather be. Listening to loud music, having every phone in the front on speaker phone holding for insurance...not a professional setting by far. You are NOT ABLE to reach this office by phone during or after business hours, everything is via a patient portal and you have to wait up to 48 hours to be messaged back. Read that again so you don't make the same mistake I did. You CANNOT REACH THEM. I had an after hours emergency and when my husband called the crappy outsourced call center that they used-2 "on call" physicians (out of 6) were paged numerous times and NOT. ONE. CALL. BACK. Not one call back, no follow up the next day-complete silence. Their billing practices are despicable and guess what? Since you can't reach anyone on the phone good luck getting an error resolved. I even went as far as sending a long message to the practice "owner" explaining at length what I suffered through as a patient and got no response. This place is the pond scum of medical practice. Please do yourself a favor and find another provider. If this helps even one person not have to endure the time spent running in circles with billing, the lack of care, and the overall frustration of seeing an absolutely uncaring and unprofessional provider then this review was worth it. It is time for the PATIENTS to demand better care-because without us, these doctors can't continue to operate this way. Demand better for yourself. There are PLENTY of other choices. This was my first time visiting The Women's Center. When I walked in on August 18th at 9:28am, there was no one at the front desk so I waited a moment before the receptionist came out. She didn't make eye contact with me or say hello. She sits down right in front of me & is chewing on something that I assume she had been eating in the back. I wait a moment to give her the opportunity to greet me & she doesn't so I say hello & good morning. She smiles & says hello with very little eye contact. I consider she may be neuro-divergent or otherwise so I don't take the eye contact personally but her behaving as if I am not physically visible from 2 feet away from her is unacceptable. She tells me how much my visit will cost & I hand her my Apple Card which has no numbers on it for security purposes. She tells me that I need the card numbers because her machine doesn't work to swipe, insert or tap so I tell her that is my only form of payment & they can bill me if their machine is not working. She begins to stammer & says, "unfortunately this won't work.." So I ask if they will not be able to see me because their card machine doesn't work.. thankfully, she tries the machine & it does in fact work so that was resolved quickly. She tells me I need to provide a urine sample & smiles then says nothing. As I stated, this is my first time here so I am just staring back at her like.. do you have any further instructions (?). I finally ask her, "so do you need a sample now orrr.." then she tells me where the bathroom is. I am shocked at the lack of professionalism coming from my first point of contact; especially considering women come here for all kinds of reasons, including miscarriage & various other sensitive or even potentially traumatic events. but I am hopeful that it will improve because I have heard fantastic things about Dr Forde-Kelly. I was called back by the nurse fairly quickly. She was very friendly, professional & still personable. The music coming from outside of my room is very loud. I imagine this is for privacy because I can still here the conversations very clearly of the rooms neighboring me, although the Dr did seem to be projecting her voice very loudly. I was able to hear private medical information regarding the patient she was addressing. Once I am seen, Dr Kelly was very professional & made sure I understood all of her recommendations. She gave me alternatives for my labs to find what was most cost effective for me. I will be returning to continue my care with her as I felt she was thorough & confident which made me feel like I am going to be taken care of. If it wasn't for my experience with Dr Kelly, I would not return nor recommend that facility to anyone I know. read more

Dr Shymk was my obeying for years he moved here and I followed. He has retired and I stayed with this women clinic their staff is super professional and friendly. I recommend because finding Gynecologist is not easy it's very intimate in more ways than the obvious. They have several Dr. Which is nice because you have a choices and without having to go somewhere else. read more

My appointment was at 12:30 noon and I got there a bit early to do some paper work to save me some time (it did not save me any time, rather I was there until about 2 pm that afternoon). The nurse came for me took my vitals but then because there was no room available they sent me back to the waiting room. The staff and nurses there were very nice and helpful when I asked how much longer of wait it would be. My Dr (Dr. Kareem) was funny, nice, and explained things in detail when asking her about IUD's, hormones, etc. The office is clean and even though I had to wait a bit they made up for it by being friendly and helpful. Also, even with my insurance (blue cross blue shield) I paid a copay of $35 for my visit. read more

Made an appointment to make this my new gyno. The front staff called me a week prior and left a message about my appointment. The message was a machine recording reminding me of my appointment. I had no voicemail from a person asking to call back and no call the day of my appointment to let me know the Dr will not be in. I showed up today for my appointment and they said the dr was not in. The front desk also said she called me and left a message but I only have a machine recoded reminder voicemail. I would of appreciated a call the morning of letting me know the Dr will not be in. AWFUL. I never leave reviews but felt obligated due to how awful this place is. Staff is rude and unprofessional. The older lady openedly talking about patients bills to whole waiting room. Would not let my husband, baby or anyone wait in waiting room or go back for visit. You do not get photos of ultrasounds. Dr. Kareen asked me 5 times in a matter of two minutes how far along I was. She was not personable at all and left me naked waist down in the room for 45 minutes and came in and asked why she was examining me again. ARNP and doctors at Winter Park location are better but the front desk staff and policies is absolutely ridiculous. Also, don't expect to have someone pick up or return your call. read more

I love Lisa which is why I am coming back here for my second baby but the front desk staff is horrible. The front desk girl this morning was rude to me and another patient about some pre-registration they sent. I filled mine out and the office still continued to send it multiple times after it was filled out. She just keeps repeating that it was sent three times. Given they are dealing with pregnant ladies, you would think they would be a little kinder. Doctors and Lisa are great. The front desk is horrible. This place is so awful and they only try to take advantage of you. I made an appointment here for a small and common issue. I waited almost an hour to go in, the midwife that I saw was not the OBGYN I made an appointment for. She did 1 swab and recommended STD panel test because it was the same swab. She said since it was the same test, I might as well go ahead and have the additional tests done. Even though the STD panel test was completely un-needed and unnecessary, not knowing any better I quickly agreed (I had to go to work so I was trying to get out of there since I waited in the waiting room for an hour). Once I left I checked with the front desk to make sure I was good, they said they didn't need anything and said I was good to go. 10 minutes down the road they called me to tell me I actually owed $270 and they forgot to tell me. I paid the $270 for the visit. Later on I get a letter in the mail stating I owe over $1000 with all the tests I had done, the unneeded testing costing about $700 of that. My insurance took care of some, but I still had $400 left to owe. When I called to complain, NO ONE ANSWERED 7 times!!!! I finally got an answer and asked to speak to someone in billing or an office manager and got hung up on. I went to the office and they said they had messed up and charging me the initial $250 was unneeded so they applied it to my balance. Contacted billing through the portal and they took A MONTH to tell me to contact the lab, which I already did. The stress that this has caused is insane, it's gone on for months. Let me just start off with saying that Dr. Forde-Kelly is amazing and i will be continuing to see her but definitely not at this office. BEWARE THIS IS A LONG POST THAT CONTAINS BLOOD SPLATTER ON WALLS!!!! When I walked in it seemed very nice, the front desk lady was cleaning and everyone at the front desk was welcoming. I started to fill out my paperwork on this tablet that they give you and it took forever for one page to load. It asked me to swipe my payment, but for an annual there was no payment to be made so i walked up to the front desk, and everyone was in the back room giggling and having a good time. I stood there for about 5 minutes waiting to be helped. Then i was asked to leave a urine sample, the bathroom was gross. Definitely not clean and well kept as these pictures show on here. I was then escorted tot he back where the Medical Assistant (MA) took my vitals and asked me all these personal questions while the door was wide open to this area, and other staff was walking in and out and preparing injections. I started to feel very uncomfortable especially when other patients were right outside this open door and i could hear them so I know they heard me. Fast forward to her taking me to my exam room, was we walked in the bed paper was all ripped up like it had been used, and sure enough she was like, "oh, i guess this room wasn't cleaned, sorry!" She then proceeded to just rip the paper off and put new paper on! Didn't even clean the bed. Mind you women get naked, and diseases can be easily spread. I asked for Linen of which she said she didn't have any and handed me this paper vest, so i placed that down on the bed. Could have just cleaned it, but i guess that was too much work. She handed me this paper vest and a paper drape for my lap, and asked me to get undressed. I then asked her for a gown as I have larger breasts, and this gown would not fit me to where i would be comfortable. Nothing annoys me more then going to a place and getting naked and not feeling comfortable while waiting for a stranger to examine you. She apologized, and gave me another drape to help me cover up a bit more. Well, that didn't really help since the vest ripped and fell apart as soon as I put it on. ANNOYING! But I tried to get covered up as best i could thinking I wouldn't be waiting long since my appt was at 1:30 and i was the only one in the waiting room when i arrived at 1:28. As i am waiting, (room 3) The light in the room goes off if there is no movement every 30 seconds. I don't know about you, but I don't feel like moving every 30 seconds to keep the light on in the room. Anyways, i did that for literally over 1 hour! The MA came in to check on me (right after i had undressed) and was shocked that the light was off and she said sorry she will be in in a minute, and i said ok. She then said sorry about the light i don't know how to keep it on. Umm.... great! As i am waiting i noticed the most grossest thing EVER!!! THERE WAS BLOOD SPLATTERED ALL OVER THE WALL!!! Not just one drop but probably 50! Some were very old and dried and some looked extremely fresh and bright red. And i mean they went up the wall from the picture all the way down to being splatted on the floor and baseboards The equipment they had in the room was some of the dirtiest I have seen (looked like it hadn't been wiped down in months) and it looked like a procedure room, which is even more disgusting! I'd never have anything done in that room!!! I was extremely uncomfortable waiting for 1 hr and 15 mins in a room with the lights flashing on and off ever 30 seconds, and being completely naked with barely any materials to conserve my dignity. All the while examining how unkempt this room is. There was also needle caps all over the floor. Oh, and did I mention I am a nurse myself? Appalling that this office maintains itself in this way. I will NOT be back to this office, and I will travel to any other office that Dr. Forde-Kelly goes to. read more

I am pretty sure everyone that voted this place so highly works there. Been four times to handle probably one of the most stressful medical situations of my life. They -really- did nothing to calm me or keep me feeling reassured. I usually wait in the waiting room for about an hour when I go there. One time they left me alone in an exam room, naked, no phone, and for an hour. I ALWAYS feel like they forget I'm there, even though I have made an appointment. I had to constantly remind the nurse at the front desk that I was still there and waiting to be seen to. When I started to get upset, finally someone forced themselves out to see me. But it was too late, I'd had enough. I cancelled all my appointments, got a refund, grabbed all my records- and went to go to another womans health center. I have never felt so neglected and poorly treated at a health care facility. Shame on these people. Also yes, it's not the cleanest place. That bathroom has pee everywhere. First impressions: Nice clean waiting room, and beautiful spa like decor. The staff was very friendly and personable. Not very crowded. There was a little issue with the doctor I signed up for having to leave due to an emergency but they had another doctor that could see me. Dr. Rodriguez was great made me feel comfortable. I explained all my concerns and he was able to get me scheduled for a mammogram right away in the Hunters creek office for the very next day. I like the timeliness and convenience of having multiple locations and doctors to assist. My previous doctor told me I was too young for a mammogram despite my concerns and strong family history. Now I can have peace of mind because they took swift action. I would recommend this office to a friend. read more

What I really appreciate about this company is their accessibility! With many doctors, scheduling is a breeze. My doctor of choice is Dr. Kareem. She is direct, caring, and willing to explain things in details - even by drawing pictures if need be! Today, I got light headed after a procedure, and Dr. Kareem stayed by my side to fan me and make sure that I was okay before leaving. They also have a nurse available by email every day, so getting questions answered is always a priority. Sometimes, if scheduling during a busy time of day(before lunch), the wait time is within 30-40 minutes of the appointment, but overall, this place rocks. read more
