Dear Management Team, I am writing to share feedback regarding my recent spa visit, as I was very disappointed with the customer service experience despite enjoying the massage itself. Prior to booking, we called to ask specifically about using a SpaFinder gift card and were advised that it would be accepted. Upon arrival, I also confirmed this directly with the front desk staff before our service, and I was again assured it would not be an issue. However, after our service concluded, I was informed that the gift card was not accepted after all. Had I been given accurate information, I would not have proceeded with the service that day. During this interaction, a young blonde-haired employee approached the front desk, stated "of course we don't take it," rolled her eyes, and walked away. This response felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially given that the confusion stemmed from misinformation provided by staff. Additionally, the men's locker room shower did not have hot water, which further detracted from the overall experience. read more

Very nice space. You don't feel like you're in a strip mall plaza once you are through the front doors. I loved that I could get in for a massage the very next day after booking. This is a wonderful spa, and we had a great experience. The lobby/gift shop area was bright and welcoming, with a lot of products available for purchase. The locker room is small and cozy with one shower and two sinks. The relaxation/quiet room, which was peaceful, had snacks and water available. (They provide a variety of beverages to choose a complimentary one from.) One of us had a massage and the other one had a facial; both were extremely relaxing. Lastly, the staff were all amazingly courteous and professional. They don't have a sauna, steam room, or hot tub, but it was a 10/10 experience for what they do offer. read more

For my weekend in Boulder, I spent the day at the new location of the Woodhouse Day Spa and was transported to the ultimate rejuvenation getaway. As soon as I entered the locker room there are luxurious robes and slippers waiting for me, and once I slipped those on I made my way to the service waiting room. The space is perfectly tranquil, with illuminating fireplaces and soothing music in the speakers. I enjoyed the 80min body balance massage with Rachel, I don't think I have ever walked away from a massage as relaxed as I did from this session. I think a key differentiator from other massages I've had is the level of therapeutic technique applied, I felt it was tailored based on my personal areas of attention and I really valued that. Woodhouse is a small day spa in Boulder. They seem to want to be high-end, though I'd say it's more mid-tier. I came here for a massage. The process is the same as at many large spas: I went to the locker room, changed into a robe, put my stuff in a locker with a combination lock, then went to the waiting room. The men's locker room had a small handful of lockers, one toilet, one shower, a couple of sinks. The waiting room was nice enough. They offer a variety of beverages and a few snacks. It's the same waiting room for men and women. They don't have much in the way of spa facilities. The last place I got an expensive massage was the Bellagio spa (in Vegas). They had a sauna, several hot tubs, loungers on a balcony overlooking a pool, and a machine with a touchscreen for making custom drinks. They don't have any of that here. I got the aromatherapy add-on. I asked the massage therapist what oils she was using; she said she didn't know what was in them. She didn't offer to find out. The massage felt good. It wasn't really the right type of massage though. I booked their "body balance" massage, which is described as Swedish. It turned out to be just a mish-mash of whatever techniques. Places that cost half as much as Woodhouse can perform the same quality of massage; in contrast, spas that cost twice as much as Woodhouse have staff that are more knowledgeable. Woodhouse has free Wi-Fi. The robes have pockets (many spas don't get this right). Overall, sort of average; good enough if you don't want to travel to a big city. read more

Booking was a little challenging. Had to search each location separately and go through the whole booking process before finding out if there was availability. Once I arrived, the facility was beautiful. But that is what you are paying for, not for an actual amazing massage. Massages on the beach in Mexico for 50 bucks are more relaxing. I purchased the signature relaxing retreat for $300. The description is misleading. It says specialized neck and shoulder massage. Which only lasted a few seconds. Also they claim acupressure and reflexology. Pressing on the top of the head for 15 seconds and pressing on the bottom of the feet in 1 spot for 10 seconds does not count for either. I would not recommend or return for this price point. Quite dissapointed! read more

Otherwise 0 stars Had my second massage here with a new masseuse Marie and below is my feedback: 1) I asked for full body with focus on Shoulders and lower back. Response: that will be an upgrade, if you would like a focused massage. Never heard that before! 2) applied too much pressure under ears that I squinted. And from there on there was no pressure what so ever. Literally felt like some is just rubbing their hands on me .. I had to request you can apply more pressure then that 3) wiped my feet and barely spent 15 secs on each foot. I just remembered her rolling her fists under the feet and that's it. The she pressed them via the towel. If you are uncomfortable touching my feet, you are not eligible for a Full body massage. She didn't even touch my toes!!! 4) I go home and I can still feel knots that I can press out with minimal pressure behind shoulders 5) Called manager who said they will sit and talk with Marie and give me a 20% off my next massage. No I have already spent $110 today... I atleast deserve 50% off if not a complementary massage. Let's not forget this was a couples massage I spent $230 today! My advice, don't get a couples massage here. You will have limited options for good experienced masseuse. Second definitely ask for Carey/Carrie. She is excellent! read more

I got a 50 min maternity massage (which I regret not booking a longer one) and I expressed to him how I was in a bad car accident a week and a half ago. He tailored the massage accordingly and truly focused on the areas I needed while still helping me to relax. He was kind and thorough. The customer service overall was great. I didn't feel rushed in any way. Felt like I had a whole spa experience even though I only had the one massage! I will be coming back! read more

I was shown around the facility as an afterthought as someone was going out the door. My massage room was so stifling hot the massage was caustic. I requested 2 areas of emphasis and the therapist gave me a 90/10 split of his time and announced that that "wasn't a good split" of my time. I got numerous solicitations to see the therapist at another location/establishment that wasn't woodhouse. Worst of all, this was a gift and I left wishing I had lost the damn thing. I've never left a massage therapist setting feeling worse than before walking in the door. This was the singular worst experience I've ever had. read more

I love it here at Woodhouse, I've had probably 10 appointments total and usually get massages and the Hydrafacial. Colorado is so dry and the Hydrafacial is such a perfect service to get. Krista does such an excellent, wonderful hydrafacial service and she addresses my concerns and goals in such a kind manner. In addition to Krista I really appreciate all of the staff. I find myself always looking forward to any appointment at this spa, it's an exciting and relaxing part of my schedule, so I keep coming back as soon as I can. First time to a Woodhouse Day Spa. Do you want to be pampered? Do you want to feel relaxed from the minute you arrive? If yes then this is for you. You walk in to southing music and the front desk immediately greeted me. As they checked me in the offer me a drink, yes they have alcohol and other drink. Then gave a tour and escorted me to the locker room where they provided lovely soft robes and roman sandals. You change and make yourself to the relaxation room where there is water and snacks and a variety of chair options and a faux fireplace. You are picked up by your treatment person and off you go. When done your taken back to the relaxation room where you can stay, snack and melt or you can make your way to the locker room. The locker room has a changing room, a shower, towels and hair products and mouthwash. The prices hare more than the quick spa service locations, but you are paying for the experience. I'm a fan! I felt like I was transported to a fancy mansion with shining dark wood floors, beautiful doors, and pretty furniture. I felt safe the entire time. Once I got to the relaxation room, I sipped a mimosa in such a soft robe I seriously considered purchasing one or two in the gift shop. Steven made me feel right at home and comfortable - a heated massage table and hot towels on my feet. What a treat. He is a talented professional and I look forward to his magic hands again soon. Once my service was done I was able to relax in another pretty room and refresh with yummy fruit water before heading to the gift shop. Hot tip: get the bar soap. I'm reminded of relaxation and self-care every time I wash my hands. (And don't forget to tip your therapist.) read more

I've been to a few Woodhouse Day Spas locations in Colorado over the past 8 years. I live near the Boulder location now, and was VERY excited when I saw they opened. I spent an entire day here with my boyfriend. We received massage, facials, and pedicures and had an amazing experience! Wow, I can't even begin to express how fantastic every person from the front desk, manger and all the therapists were. Woodhouse always has amazing retail as well. I love shopping there especially their skinceuticals (best medical grade skincare line out there), as well as so many unique products. I will definitely be back to visit again soon! I have been to several Woodhouse Day Spas in the Denver metro area and the Boulder location is the nicest I have seen! The interior decor and upkeep is second to none. I had an 80 minute massage with Hannah and she tailored it to my needs. I felt so relaxed after the treatment. Taylor gave me a 50 minute anti aging facial to wrap up my day and her touch was so gentle and she really listened to what I wanted. I had a hydrafacial at the Boulder location and it was truly the worst hydrafacial I have ever had. My skin has remaining product post treatment, my pores are enlarged, my extractions were not thorough, my under eyes were not cleansed and my skin feels so greasy. I also did not receive the LED service that I paid for. My skin looks worse than it did before the service. The manager does not care. This place is not results driven. It is sales driven. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more

I came here for a Swedish massage after having visited the southglenns location a few years back. The southglenns location was top notch, so I had high expectations for the Boulder location, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! First of all they have parking, so don't let them being in the heart of Boulder scare you about not being able to find parking. Second of all, the staff is amazing. Welcoming, friendly, and most importantly, make you feel serene and relaxed. I had two services - the firming facial and the Deep Sleep massage. Both services started on schedule and the therapists were very knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is great and a convenient location - which is why I decided to pay a little extra to spoil my daughter and her friend for facials. Everything went great until we had to check out and I felt pressured into buying products that were recommended. That was all still ok but then I was charged almost double the amount listed on their website when doing the booking. When I pulled their own booking system/website up and showed them, the girl said that they have problems with that booking system, it is stupid. But no way I was going to pay more than that amount so they ended up changing it manually. We would never have picked the spa if the "right" amount was on the website so I am wondering if that is how they get people to book and then when everyone is relaxed and ready to check out, there's a whole new surprise $. It is a nice facility but maybe call and make sure what the service cost before you go to avoid any surprises and having to leave disappointed and angry. read more

WOW! What can I say? From start to finish, this was an amazing experience! The front desk staff were incredibly friendly the moment I entered. Set up with a plush robe that makes you want to lounge all day and a nice glass of wine; I knew I was in for a treat. My massage was with Larissa and was hands down the best massage I've had. Not to mention she emanates kindness and just makes you feel welcome and taken care of. She's amazing! Next was my facial and words can't express how wonderful this was. Krista is an artist, if that can be said about an esthetician. Her knowledge is second to none, I do believe I told her she's a skin God . Not sure how to describe it, but the technique/motion she uses when cleansing/moisturizing/etc, coupled with the soothing spa music and total relaxation, had me feeling like I was mentally experiencing a classical dance. Sounds weird, I know, but try it and see! My last service was a pedicure with Kim. She was fantastic, incredibly nice, great massage and an immaculate pedicure.
