Park Ridge is located on Hoosick street, which puts you about a mile from anywhere you would ever want to go (shopping, restaurants, all major highways). Luckily theres a traffic light when leaving Park Ridge, so its never a hassle to commute on those early mornings to work. Deb in the office truly cares about her residents, and wants to make sure everyone is happy and she does an excellent job at it! Park Ridge is owned by Tri City Rentals, and they invest a great amount of money into keeping the place nice. The grounds are always kept immaculate and they repaved the parking lot to make significantly more spots. Whenever I have encountered a problem, Park Ridge has gone out of their way to fix it almost immediately. When my air conditioner broke, they went out to Home Depot and purchased a $500 portable A/C and installed it in my bedroom while they waited for a contractor to replace my central AC unit. I honestly can't say enough great things about this place, and to top it all off their prices are more than affordable.

I left the apartment two days before the lease was up and they inspected it and told me it was dirty. Fine, I still have another day on the lease, I'll have someone clean it. Since I had moved out of the area my Mom and Dad drove an hour and a half up and back to clean it and take pictures before they left. I had been told if it were clean before the lease was up the charges would disappear. Suzan and Ron didn't even bother to look again. I know they didn't look because Suzan read me a list of dirty items that was exactly the same as before the cleaning. As she was doing reading, I was looking at pictures from after my parents had gone to clean that were exactly the opposite. For example, Suzan: "There's scum in the bathtub" as I'm looking at a picture of a clean bathtub. Suzan: "The fridge wasn't cleaned out," as I'm looking at a picture of a clean fridge. You get the picture (pun intended). The most egregious thing about this whole situation was when I sent her those pictures, her exact response was, "You must have taken those pictures when you moved in." They're time stamped!!! If those pictures show such a clean apartment that you think I took them when I moved in, and then I can prove to you that they were taken as I moved out, shouldn't that mean the apartment was clean up to your standards? This logic just seemed to confuse her. She couldn't even be bothered to get up and take a look herself. Ron, the maintenance manager who also might not be the brightest bulb in the box, had to have it pointed out to him that holes (from mounting pictures) in the walls had been fixed. I do not believe that through this entire process Suzan has been inside the apartment once. That does not stop her from being my only point of contact. All I seem to be able to get out of her is that she's keeping my money, sorry, nothing you can do, the end. In fairness to them, they gave me $60 back for making a stink and to get me to go away. Yay, I can fill up my car. They'll charge you $250 to re-key the locks if you don't give them two keys back when you move out, implying they don't do it anyway. I don't know what the thought process is but I promise you there are at least four missing copied keys to 33-16 somewhere. If that bothers you, don't take the apartment. I won't try to rob you, but it would be super easy for whoever lived in your apartment before to. They don't care about safety, just stealing your money. Also, I was a pretty easy tenant. Rent was almost always paid, in full, a week before it was due via cashier's check. This was during COVID when unemployment, rental relief and the eviction ban were in full swing. I can't imagine how they would treat someone who had the audacity to complain about something. The washing machines don't work half the time. You'll need something washed on a tight schedule and plan everything out so you can run a washing and drying cycle, only to find out that for whatever reason your clothes are sitting in a pool of water. Now your choices are to try a quick cycle ($2.00) with another machine just to get it to spin out the water, or dry the clothes three times ($1.50 each). Five extra dollars every time you need to wash something is not going to break the bank, but the only place on site to fill up the laundry card might be on the other side of the property. It only takes cash, $5 and higher. I couldn't even do laundry the first month I moved in because the machine was out of cards, and no matter how many times I called, they couldn't put more in. In summary, there are other, more honest and well kept places to live in the area. Places that don't charge you $1,000 just for the right to pay them $1,000 per month to live there for a year. Live somewhere else, I have friends who lived in Colonie East, Rose Garden Court, and Schuyler Commons and they all have great things to say, nothing like my experience here.
