    Woods Old Fashion

Stopped by The Woods on a Friday night. The tables were socially distanced and the vibes were good. They have a super extensive whiskey menu and have a few flights available. Devin was our bartender and he took his time and care crafting our beverages. I ordered the Woods Old Fashion and it hit the spot. I also like that it's not super loud in here and I can have a conversation. It's conveniently located in Downtown Orlando with lots of bars nearby!

I love this bar it has a very good environment and plenty of little spaces to sit down and mingle or just enjoy the company you are with. Plenty of selections to choose from and the food and snacks are good too. Friendly staff. I would love to come back

Sad to see them go. Today is their last day, but happy for all the memories I made there. With so many whiskey options I learned a lot about tastings and finding out what I enjoy from Scotch's and bourbons. I wish the owners well in their next adventure and thanks again for bringing a true whiskey bar experience to downtown Orlando.

First time visiting this bar for a work occasion. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and upstairs esthetic's. It does have we're in the "woods" type of feel minus the tree's and nature but i did love the decor. Our bartender was awesome. He was able to make my type of drinks that weren't on the menu and they were strong! Just what i needed after a long day and brining in the weekend. They also have a food menu and weekly specials. They offer a 25% off discount for service workers as well.

I really enjoyed this bar. They have a fantastic selection of drinks and the vibe is very chill. There are plenty of lounge areas inside to bring friends, and a variety of games to play while there.

I wasn't initially sure how'd I feel about this place as it was our second to last stop on a downtown pub crawl and after visiting some other really stellar bars, this felt more like a sports bar than the speakeasy-ish vibe my friends who put the bar crawl together described it as. There was also an interesting sort of hodge podge of characters patronizing this joint and every one just seemed to keep to themselves. However, the bar staff were great and I was happy to discover it was a quasi-whiskey bar. They had this cold brew chocolate old fashioned drink that they make from this awesomely weird looking contraption behind the bar. I had to get it just because I love stuff like that, especially when it involves whiskey. I was not disappointed and was not mad at the $12 price tag either. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their drinks as well. We only stayed for one drink because there really wasn't much else to do here, but for the quality of drink for the price, I could definitely recommend a stop in here! Also, props for the clean ladies restroom!

Super chill and unassuming bar downtown. Great place to get away from the packed out clubs and grab a drink, often much quieter and quicker. I love to go on Wednesday which is Bacon Night! Every drink earns you a strip of delicious peppered bacon served up in a beer glass and honestly it's so good I've considered asking if I can just buy a plate. Also props to them for having awesome/friendly bartenders, we usually see the same few people each time. My only snag with this spot is the cocktails can be hit or miss on flavor profile, I usually stick to their Whiskey Sour or beers. Definitely a great spot if you actually want to be able to talk to your date downtown!

If you like getting bombed off of expensive whiskies/whiskeys this is the place for you. Happy hour is from 5-8 Monday -Friday and the 25% savings is pretty generous. The single malt scotch selection is the best I've seen in Orlando. They hit all major regions and even had Springbank from Campbelltown. They had very few lowland malts, and I didn't see any blended malt horse piss on the menu. I went on a two hour whiskey tour in Scotland so I'm in an expert on everything now. The bourbon selection was also top notch. They had some limited bottles of Knob Creek and some Rip Van Winkle. The latter I'm too cheap to buy. The decor was nice and there was comfortable seating available. I didn't check out the bathroom, but I'm not expecting a 5 star facility. My only complaint is that I don't think they had any food, and I was in the mood for chicken wings. Can't hold that against them. This place is definitely worth checking out.

This lounge has a charming atmosphere, different than most clubs in Downtown. The Woods has a more rustic appeal with alternative rock playing. It's a refreshing contrast to the usual club scene. My guest and I sat down and looked at the menu. She got a Moscow Mule (always something with Vodka ), and I tried the Cardigan Weather. (I got for wine, liqueurs and rum). This drink had it all! It was a lovely mixture of Applejack rum, pear liqueur and other ingredients that made it taste similar to applejack cereal. It was nice to just sit back and enjoy a drink. My second drink was a bartenders special iced coffee. It was amazing! I love anything dealing with coffee! The drinks were a little pricy, averaging about $10 per drink. It's pricey compared to most bars here, but you pay for quality and the atmosphere!

I love this place. It's chill, always clean and tidy. The bartenders are true mixologists and will make you a great drink. I needed a pick me up and had an espresso martini. I have never had a martini in my life. There was no cream, no vodka taste. It was smooth and delicious, perfectly made.

Love this place. Not too many places have a great whiskey selection. They have over 300. And they organize it on the menu very well. I've been here quite a few times over the years. I'd say it's sometimes hard to get your order in when it's busy. But they make fantastic cocktails if you're up for it. Otherwise, just go with scotch neat. They have this coffee and coconut infused Jameson shot which is a must try if you've never done it. Cool to watch and imports a nice flavor to the whiskey. Bathrooms are clean. They have live music. So it can get noisy. Not a great first date spot because of that. Parking is bad. Good luck. I'd park in a lot along the freeway feeder road and walk two blocks. That is your best bet. Also, it's upstairs. I am not aware of any elevator. So make sure those you are with can go up a tight flight of stairs (and make it down by the end of the night). For the non- drinkers, they have cold brew coffee on tap.

The ambiance and feel of the bar is very "sultry" and "intimate." The mood lighting, dark paneling/interiors paired with the bar itself being lit to be the center of attention, lends itself to the secretiveness and LURE that a modernized speakeasy would provide. I truly enjoy stepping foot into this little hidden, but NOT so hidden, gem (which can be accessed from the interior to Talay). Service can be slow at times - especially when they are busy. However, the staff is usually always gracious, helpful, and willing to serve. The few great mixologists I've met there have also been very willing to break down how they make their drinks and really give us a glimpse into their world. So, I'm appreciative of that. That is not something that you can always expect at bars. As for the drinks (and food I'll glaze over), I am usually not left disappointed. I appreciate that seasonally they play with their drink menu and introduce new cocktails. I also love a handful of their signature drinks on the menu. This may be the only bar I've had a drink with Aperol in it that I actually ENJOYED (and not tolerated). The pricing can get high depending on what you order, but for the area and the going rate of a night out, they hold their own. Definitely don't pop into Noir if you are looking for an AFFORDABLE cocktail experience because the tab will creep up on you. The food is OKAY. They share a kitchen with Talay and offer some items not on the Talay menu - which is nice. However, I rarely eat when I visit, so the few times I have, it's been okay. Nothing to truly brag home about. I am happy, though, that they did start offering food because in the very beginning (when they first opened), that was not an option. Anyways, Noir Bar is GREAT (to me)! I will keep coming here and recommending it to others. It's also great for a date night or night out with your friends. It's in a decent location - but please take heed of parking in this area, as it can be challenging to find FREE street parking. However, there is parking available all around and in various garages nearby.

Real good vibes. Orlando obviously has no shortage of places to eat, drink, and gather, but Alfie's belongs to that rare category of venues that feel equally at home in a major metropolis. It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list. With the way he approached us and was completely impatient, we were a little turned off and left. Which lost them money on our entire group. He followed us out the door as we left. When I first arrived right at 4pm, I thought maybe it was closed as only my car was in the parking lot. There are TV's on both sides of the bar and at the entrance of the restaurant. I was able to indulge in World Cup soccer. Happy Hour is from 4pm-6pm Monday - Friday. Quite a few items are marked down to $10 as are some of the cocktails. I started with a $10 Lamp Martini (Dirty Gin Martini). I liked it although, it was super mini. I can see why it was "only" $10. I'd prefer a regular sized glass. I can't believe they charge $1 for blue cheese olives. The bartender recommended the Caesar Salad and told me it was one of the best items on the menu. Super duper different. I've never had a Caesar salad like this one. It's like little sandwich bites of salad. I really liked it. These things lived up to the bartender hype. Then, I tried the $10 Deviled Eggs. They were pretty standard. Then, I had the $10 Chili Bomb Hummus. I love a really good hummus and this one was that. Up next, "The Best Espresso Martini in Orlando," Whoops, actually it wasn't this time the bartender lied to me. Wine Bar George still holds that title. I wish the espresso was brewed at the bar, but she told me it was from some place down the street. Lastly, I had the $14 Charred Cauliflower. I liked this thing too. I wish they made a spicy version. A huge space inside. A cool entrance to the bathrooms. Quite a few TV's to watch sports. A bit off the beaten path. A solid bar to have some drinks, watch sports, and get some bites.

One more downside: there's no self-parking, only valet. It's $5, which isn't terrible, but it's still an inconvenience. Overall, the atmosphere felt too chaotic for what I was expecting, and I wouldn't come back.
