Fix Your Business We found Alan by accident and cannot…read morerecommend him highly enough After 10 years operating our retail store it was basically running in place .. paying the bills, yes, but not much more. Certainly not what it should be doing, less foot traffic, and we were at a loss to figure out why. We tried "more" of the same, doing the same thing harder ( you know where we're going ) Alan came in for a consult and wow - he knows how to dig out the issues, sees stuff you don't see, and has a laser-like focus on what's important and what's not. And doesn't pull any punches about telling you the truth ( ouch... ) We were concentrated on the merchandise and store décor - he helped us discover that was NOT why people came into the store, and that we should REDUCE the variety, put the mishmash of small stuff we had scattered around in the back corner, and concentrate on 2 or 3 categories ( not the 8 or 9 we had ) And why people came to see us - not for the variety, because we can never compete with the big boxes or the internet, but for the advice, the warm service, and help picking what works for them. And, and, and .. ( more truth - ouches ) Lord knows business coaches are like dogs with fleas so we were pretty skeptical .. but this dog knows how to hunt ..

I'm writing a review to applaud and thank Susan Martin at Business Sanity for the fantastic job she…read morehas done in creating my new business web site Bridgestone Cleaners. She, in the most gentle way pushed me to assist her in the design and content of the site. I know I can be difficult to get to do what has to be done but Susan exhibits patience and persistence when dealing with difficult clients. She is not affraid to stand up for her professional knowledge and integrity when the client attempts to push his personal preferences over knowledge based professional advice. Susan is a true professional and willing to work within the confines of a clients budget always offering alternatives to the client. She will do a great job for you and deserves all the accolades she gets. Susan is a true Brooklyn Gem and I'm blessed to have had her on my team.

Susan is a fantastic coach; she's a good listener and she makes sure to work with your specific needs, rather than just try to force you into a pre-made script. I'd highly recommend her to anyone with a small business, especially those that think they've got everything under control.

I worked at OG Tax and Accounting as a Bookkeeper/Accountant for several months. Unfortunately, my…read moreexperience was heavily affected by the management of the Bookkeeping department. Nataliya Prokosheva, who oversees the department, demonstrated a lack of effective leadership and people-management skills. During my time at the company, I frequently experienced unprofessional behavior, including being spoken to in a disrespectful manner, public criticism, raised voices, personal remarks, and what felt like workplace bullying. Rather than creating a supportive environment where employees could learn and grow, the management approach often felt intimidating and demoralizing. Constructive feedback is important in any workplace, but there is a clear difference between professional guidance and personal attacks. For a company that strives to maintain professional standards, this type of behavior should not be considered acceptable. I believe many employees would be able to perform at a much higher level under stronger, more respectful, and professional management within the Bookkeeping department. That being said, my criticism is directed specifically at Nataliya Prokosheva and her management style within the Bookkeeping department, not at the company as a whole. Although I did not have the opportunity to work directly with the owner of the company, my overall impression of him is positive. Based on the way the company operates and the feedback I heard from both employees and clients, he appears to be a professional and responsible business owner. I also had the opportunity to work with many talented, friendly, and hardworking colleagues who made the workplace enjoyable despite the challenges. OG Tax and Accounting has a strong team and significant potential for continued success. I sincerely hope the company addresses the leadership issues within the Bookkeeping department, as improving management practices would create a much healthier, more productive, and more respectful work environment for everyone.
