I am a middle aged woman who was starting to really feel the effects of my age. My primary wanted to put me on prozac when I brought up HRT, and I knew that was not the answer for me. Luckily, I had a friend who was a patient at Dr. Wright's office and recommended I call to check them out. I made sure they were covered by my insurance plan first, and made an appointment. The initial appointment is very thorough, I had a pap, ultrasound, ans testing, and bloodwork done. They made sure my insurance covered it all before I stepped through the door. My consult with the nurse practitioner, Yolanda, was nothing short of amazing! She was personable, smart, funny, and really made sure I understood my options. She's been treating me for the past 6 months, and I feel so much better! I am back to my old self, and feel like a veil that I had been living under has been lifted! No more hip pain, my hair loss has stopped, and I feel energetic and can sleep again. The office is very fancy by my standards. You're offered a beverage when you check in, there's a beverage station in the waiting area, and they offer snacks after the blood draws. Everyone that I've encountered at the office has been so pleasant and I am so thankful to have found this practice. It's been life changing, and I am always recommending it to women my age who are feeling the negative effects of aging. read more

Same as others with the billing department. I've been going for years and for the past 7 visits I get calls prior to my appointment telling me I owe $300+, but my insurance covers all except my copay. I refuse to pay each time their "estimated " cost and miraculously I don't end up paying because my insurance covered it like I've said countless times. I have spoken to Joe the director of billing he's rude and argumentative and does t give a clear explanation. It comes off like he's trying to run some fraud with billing. Please beware before you are paying estimated costs. They conveniently never told me the onetime I paid it that my insurance paid it and I had to argue with Joe for my refund. Always let your insurance go through first before you give a dime to this place. read more

I've been going to the Wright Center for years. Even though they're on the pricier side, I was always happy with their service. That is no longer the case, and I will not be going back. After receiving multiple confirmation texts over the past month, and confirming each, today I received a notification of a bill estimate for my appointment. Today is the 29th. I call them to update my insurance information, as I was recently married. Billing informs me that my appointment was cancelled on the 18th. I'm transferred to scheduling, who tells me it was cancelled on the 20th. My appointment that I made a year ago. My appointment that I make every year, at the very end of the calendar year. They insist that they left a message, which I never received, informing me that a provider I have never heard of is no longer with their location, and that I would need to reschedule, and that the appointment would be cancelled if they didn't hear back from me. This after receiving, literally five hours ago, an estimate of my balance that would be due for the service that was apparently cancelled over a week ago. They cannot book me within the calendar year now. The entire point of scheduling it at this time is for my insurance. I drive an hour to their location when I could go literally anywhere closer. My question is--if the appointment had to be rescheduled regardless, why would they say the appointment was cancelled because I didn't call back (to the voicemail I never received)? If it was simply a provider issue, they didn't inform me the first time they changed my provider for that appointment slot. I have always seen the same provider, and now that provider only works in telehealth. So the provider they replaced her with was done without informing me, and no appointment was cancelled whenever that happened. So why was it cancelled this time, when ostensibly it was the same situation? Why was I told two different dates for when the appointment was supposedly cancelled? Why would I receive a bill today for a service that was cancelled last week? I am beyond frustrated. I was told there was absolutely no way they could honor my original appointment, which again, I made a year ago. I don't know how much money they've made from me over the past four or five years, but I always opted for the additional recommended tests that aren't traditionally covered by insurance. I was prioritizing my health. I've even defended their excessive billing practices to friends I've personally recommended after they ultimately had a poor experience with their office. But I'm telling you now, don't waste your time or your money with the Wright Center. It's simply not worth it. They clearly have no regard for their own commitments. read more

Just got a call 1 week before my appointment. Only to find out that my provider no longer works there.. this is VERY upsetting since she's been gone since DECEMBER and I was informed a week before my appointment that I would be getting a new provider. As someone who takes forever to trust a doctor, it hurts to know that my FAVORITE provider out of every provider I have seen for any health reason, not just gyno is no longer there and I find out 4 months later.. I am honestly going to cancel my appointment because in my eyes, its not worth spending that kinda money when I wont be seeing the provider I've seen for YEARS and built a great relationship with and who was helping me with so much! read more

I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding my recent experiences as a patient at your facility. I have been a patient of the Wright Center for over seven years. Despite the higher out-of-pocket costs compared to other clinics, I chose to continue my care with your organization because I felt the level of service justified the expense. Unfortunately, over the past year, my experience has significantly declined. I have encountered multiple billing issues, including delayed charges being submitted to my insurance company several months after services were rendered. In turn, I have received bills for outstanding balances seven to eight months later. More concerning, when these balances were not paid immediately because I was checking with the insurance company about payment, I received a certified letter with a threatening tone, which I found both unprofessional and discouraging. Additionally, I have experienced longer wait times at appointments and scheduling challenges that further contributed to my dissatisfaction. On two or more occasions, appointments that were scheduled weeks in advance were canceled by your office on the same day. However, patients are expected to adhere to a strict cancellation policy, with a $100 fee imposed for same-day cancellations. This inconsistency feels unfair and does not reflect a patient-centered approach. I took off work for this appointment and to have it canceled day of is so unprofessional. I have recommended so many of my family and friends to the facility and they all have experienced issues within the past year and we have decided not to go back. I called today to request my medical records after my appointment was canceled by your office, I was put on hold and no one ever came back to the phone. When I called back, I was hung up on twice and no one made any attempt to call me back. Why would I continue to spend my money here? read more

Top notch care! I lived in Chicago over a decade ago and gave birth to my son here. Dr. Wright delivered my baby. When I returned to the area many of my sorority sisters started recommending this place "Wright Center for Women's Health" and praising the amazing practice owner. I never put two and two together and just booked without realizing this practice belonged to the same brilliant physician who delivered my son. I have had the best experience here from getting control of my perimenopausal weight to working on controlling my mood and just overall health. Do not trust them! Everything is passed on to PAs and lower down the totem pole whenever possible. I was traumatized and gaslit during a routine IUD exchange and blindsided with additional bills. Had they told me up front that I would be billed $2k to never see a doctor and would leave me with ptsd and would take 4 months and 5 appointments, I never would have done this. After canceling my final appointment, a manager promised me that I could see a real doctor and wouldn't be billed if I agreed to come in. After the appointment, my insurance was billed another $600 and I was asked to pay another $260 copay. read more

I am a 44 year old woman dealing with some perimenopause issues as well as a lifetime of painful and heavy periods. A good friend recommended the Wright Center to me and I'm so thankful she did. The staff are kind and put you at ease. I personally appreciate the extra testing they do as part of intake. It gives you a good look at everything going on and they found a couple of issues my regular obgyn never would have found because I was constantly dismissed as it being "part of being a woman". They have already helped lighten my period and I feel truly seen here. Luckily I have good insurance and have not had billing issues. read more

The Wright Center for Women's Health truly did a wonderful job turning around my menopause symptoms. I was going to do my annual physical with my Primary Care Physician and started to realize something is wrong since I started menopause and my blood work was declining in many areas. A great friend referred me to Dr. Wright to check my hormone levels and my physical condition got back on the right track. Dr. Kimberly Wright educated me on the importance of testosterone in Woman. She provided me with a book to read and to share with my primary care physician. I started taking BioTe and my whole physical condition was back on the right track. My primary care physician told me they don't teach us much about balancing hormone in medical school however; he was happy I found Dr. Wright. They now collaborate together and both do an amazing job. Hormone Balancing is one of the many things Dr. Wright specializes in and no one does it better than her entire staff. No more mid waist weight increases and aches and pains. I wish I had more time to write a book on this center so you can feel and look fabulous again inside & out! I can honestly say I feel like women do not get great feminine healthcare. I went a long time asking, but no doctor would address even looking at my hormones. I have found a place I feel I am in a partnership with my health as a woman. I also think they take things from a wholistic view and examine things thouroughly. I have sent many people to this practice, all of whom have come out learning about their bodies and how to manage their health from a new approach due to such detailed care. Former patient of Dr Wright, Wright Center for Women's Health and I must say Dr Wright has an excellent bedside manner and is very thorough. The spa-like environment is a plus. Office staff was always friendly & helpful and the few billing issues I had were worked out. I left an amazing Gynecology practice in downtown Chicago, Female HealthCare and the best Gyn I'd ever had on a recommendation from a trusted friend when I moved to Naperville. The Wright Center was a new practice, just opening its doors. After several years of great service & attention from Dr Wright, I was devastated when I called to make my annual appointment and was told I could no longer see her as my doctor! All patients were being switched to see the new Nurse Practitioner; unless an additional $300-$450 fee was paid to be a VIP patient of sorts to continue to see Dr.Wright! I was upset & angry at once. I was not going to be cast aside & relegated to a provider of their choice simply because of $$$. At best, I felt Dr Wright should have grandfathered in (at least some) patients that had supported her practice from Day One. Or better yet -- the fee apply to New Patients joining her practice! It was not a choice for me to make so I promptly requested my records & left the practice without a new Gynecologist and all. I began getting my care from my PCP Dr Dorsey Johnson, and she too, is a phenomenal doctor! My daughter 21, is also very comfortable with our PCP & really bonded with her. As far as The Wright Center, I really hope their new system is working for them. I'm shocked to read the reviews & experiences of others! If losing valuable, trusted clients is something the practice can live with, it was never the place for me. read more

Please do not go here. They only care about making money and will nickel and dime you for everything. They make you do a bunch of unnecessary tests that is mandatory that you have to pay for before you can even start whatever treatment you are seeking. Then when you think you've paid everything before you walk out, they will send you random bills in the mail saying you owe them for something. For the people that are complaining about the price, please go somewhere that will take you 3+ months to get in and that will give you basic care you're looking for. Those places are out there for you. Here, I was able to get in quickly and as a business owner myself, I appreciate that they have gone above and beyond thinking about every detail of your experience with them. You absolutely get what you pay for here. I never felt rushed or like they had better things to do other than be with me at that moment. Everything is first class from the environment to the staff. They clearly invested in great staff and a beautiful office environment to make you feel comfortable and you only have to pay a fraction of what they had to pay in schooling, training, and the ongoing costs of running a business. I went to Dr. Wright for peri menopause symptoms and a medical concern. She did a thorough exam. Then talked to me about BioTe implants. She had me take blood tests and runs screenings on you chemical imbalances so she can address them I've had several visits with blood work and stress tests. She pointed it areas to work on my health. In 6 months my heart function is better, my blood levels are better and my heart function has improved! I can't say enough great things about her and the practice. read more

I recently moved and wanted a doctor closer to my new home. I went to the Wright clinic for my annual gynecological exam. I was seen by a nurse practitioner; to see the actual doctor, you have to join some special group that costs extra. The nurse practitioner I thought was very thorough, knowledgeable and personable and I felt very comfortable. (This didn't bother me, I've seen nurse practitioners at other practices and I found them to be often equal to the doctor and in some instances in the past, better than the doctor.) This place is trying to be more like a spa, it has some nice touches such as a satin robe versus a cotton robe and little extra touches around; for example, they had a little platter with mini pads after the exam. It's a nice touch so you don't get any residual k-y goo on your own panties. I was notified in a reasonable amount of time of the results of the Pap smear. read more

Would never recommend anyone to go here. My partner came here for her annual checkup. They give ridiculous unnecessary tests then make you pay for them after the fact. She was given a bill and was told the bill would go down after insurance was factored in. The bill went up over $200. Paying 4 figures for an ANNUAL check up is beyond ridiculous. Then when we called to talk to accounts payable about the front desk giving false information- we were told: "I know it seems like a lot" and our concerns were not heard. I had made an appointment for my annual check up (my partner and I are both women) before receiving the bill. We decide that we are going to cancel my appointment and go else where. When I told the person on the phone that I wanted to cancel and not reschedule she said she would take me off their schedule then hung up on me before I could ask my other questions that I had. The staff is friendly but when it comes to billing and insurance, this place is a nightmare. As other reviews have stated, they are not thorough in their pre-authorization and patient out-of-pocket costs. It really does seem that they're more financially motivated than patient centered. They charge an additional $350 on top of whatever insurance doesn't pay, to see Dr. Wright.. that's a little to boutique-y for me. This could be a really great model for patient care but until they're more upfront about costs and billing, I think it's a huge fail. read more

Dr. Wright is an AMAZING doctor, and if it isn't for the center's lack of organization - especially in the billing department, I would continue to go to see Dr. Wright. It's unfortunate how many billing issues have come up, and how extremely unorganized the front office is. I have referred several friends and strangers to this facility over the past few years, but we all have encountered billing issues - big and small. Dorothy has been very helpful, and I am grateful for her assistance with my most recent billing issue, but other than that, I don't see myself returning to this facility. ---I have an endless list of positive things to say about Dr. Wright. Where shall I begin?? First and foremost, I have never come across a gynecologist I feel 1000% comfortable with. Not only is she a welcoming, warm soul; she genuinely cares for your well-being from head to toe. I was so blessed to get an appointment with Dr. Wright for a 2nd opinion last minute due to some major lower abdomen pain. (A huge thank you to the person who happened to cancel their appointment & her all-star staff for catering to my "sense of urgency" mode!) She granted me my wishes and started off with more of a natural approach to help me feel better, but when my pain became too much to handle, she wasted no time getting me into surgery on my husband and my 1 year wedding anniversary. Dr. Wright is truly knowledgeable and is always willing to hear you out on any concerns you may have - major or minor. I could not have asked for a more caring, professional, gentle and amazing person to operate on me, and I am forever grateful to/for her. I first started seeing Dr. Wright about six years ago when I was pregnant with my second child. At the time I found her to be incredibly patient and comforting. It was always a pleasure to see her. My delivery was painful, but she was there to help me through it. When I called the schedule an annual at her old office I was told she was no longer there and asked if I wanted to schedule with a different doctor. I politely declined and went online to look for Dr. Wright, and found her at her newly established Wright Center for Women's Health. I have been going to her office ever since. I have always found her staff to be friendly and courteous. Most of the staff know who I am and always greet me with a warm smile. I've never had any off the issues some of the other reviewers have mentioned - the entire staff and Dr. Wright herself have always been incredibly friendly. I had one billing issue - my insurance sent me a letter stating they weren't going to cover a test that the office had told me was covered. I assume it was taken care of without needing to call the doctor's office because I never received a bill from them, and I've yet to receive another letter from my insurance. Dr. Wright does have long wait times. You should know that before going in to see her. This is not different from any other specialist out there. Recently though, it's been a lot better because she has more staff to help her with things like going over blood work results, etc. Even as such, they will send a note and a gift card in the mail to you immediately to apologize for the long wait. At least that's what they did with me. I understand that everyone has different experiences, but mine has been nothing short of great. I've been going to Dr. Wright for almost six years now and I can't imagine myself going anywhere else. She takes the time to sit and talk with you and never acts rushed even if she's running a bit behind. She's warm and inviting, and even remembers tiny things I've told her on my last visit. I thought the Wright Center would be a great solution for me, but boy was I wrong. After being a patient for over a year, I NEVER EVEN MET DR. WRIGHT. I had to go in for monthly "consultation" appointments while we were trying to conceive and saw the assistant who pretty much said keep doing what you are doing and wrote me prescriptions. After meeting with a specialist I learned they had me on medication for far too long. This office is in the business of making money, not patient care. Their insane billing practices there were hitting my lifetime max for treatment without any notification to me. I'm writing this review as I just received a bill from them today- 2 years later with no detail just an amount due. Don't go here if you are seeking help trying to conceive or otherwise. There are plenty of OB/GYNS in the area who have great bedside manner, qualified staff and bill correctly. read more

I do not recommend this practice. The main doctor was booked quite far out so I agreed to see the nurse practitioner (Darby?). I've never not seen an actual doctor for my annual gyno exam but I figured it would be fine. I did not care for the woman's bedside manner & I found her unprofessional. I also bled extremely badly for two days after my exam which has NEVER happened before. I fully believe this woman is not trained properly. To make matters worse- I waited 4 days for my results of my pap & still hadn't heard from her (as she said I would). I called the office & the receptionist was blown away the woman hadn't called me. Is this a common problem?? Anyways, while the office is clean and comfortable, I would never return here. read more

I've had some terrible gynecology experiences in the past, so maybe my review will be a tad biased. But I have been thrilled with the service given to me from the women that work here. First off, the doctors really go all out to make you as comfortable as possible. They offer water and tea upon checking in, and aside from the material perks like the silky robes and fuzzy cushions over the foot holder they also try to be the kind of people you're comfortable sharing your most intimate details with. They're funny and friendly, but also compassionate when it comes to the harder details of their job. I really feel like my concerns and needs are made a first priority here, which isn't what I got in the past. And Dorothy, head of the billing department, has been a godsend. My insurance has been giving me problems with actually paying my medical bills, and Dorothy has been on my side letting me know when I need to give them a call whereas other places would just give me a bill and tell me to pay up. I love everything about this place, and I'd recommend anyone in the area to go here. Update 3/1/2019 This place continues to go above and beyond for their patients. Recently accompanied a friend here for some issues and they were no less kind and dedicated to helping her than they were with me. I think there's something about a women's health facility run by women that creates such a warm and laid back environment, but that may be more about the people who work here. Called and inquired about the oshot. Staff lwas extremely nice.Office is beautiful. Received the shot and was told I should see a difference in a couple days. 5 weeks later, absolutely nothing. Called the office talked to the doctor, she apologized and asked did I want to come in and pay for another session. I declined. Billing was supposed to contact me. I called them to then tell me no refunds or even a percentage. They are definitely pushing for money. Don't waste ur time. read more

This office is great! My fiancé has been seeing Dr. Wright and her PA's for years. They all take their time answering all of our questions and making sure we leave with a plan on the next steps. As a man, going to the gynecologist isn't the most exciting part of my day, but with this office I actually don't mind going. This place is a money making machine. Be careful. I have visited the office for an annual exam in 2016 which was covered by my health insurance (Blue Cross & Blue Shield PPO) but I have been getting letters for a past-due payment of $88.36. Over the past two years, there were issues with billing to the insurance company which I thought was straighten out. My visit and an in office "tests" amounted to $1,368! I feel like I have been taken advantage of and I do not trust this place at all. Never went back and never will. I just got another letter with a past due notice! Be warned, if you don't want to find yourself owing mysterious fees and charges two years later and getting threats of being sent to the collection agency, maybe you want to find a doctor in a group that has better billing practices. read more

I didn't even have all my new patient paperwork completed and i was already in process of ultrasound.The time the staff explained and answered all my questions made me feel like a friend and not another insurance claim to be filled. Dr. Wright incorrectly diagnosed me with a very serious condition during pregnancy and her diagnosis was based on a completely faulty reading of an ultrasound that VERY clearly, to other professionals, did not indicate the serious condition whatsoever. Once I understood more about the condition (after researching in a complete panic), I could also easily see how faulty the diagnosis was. Based on the experience, I feel as if her knowledge and abilities are limited. I will add that she is very friendly and personable. And as a surgeon, she is wonderful. My c-section experiences with her from previous pregnancies were amazing and "easy" as those things go. I think surgery is her calling. read more
