If Peter ever was compassionate, that was before his current burnout. I contacted Peter to begin acupuncture during my third IVF cycle (for male factor). I ignored a few red flags during my early appointments and tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. I understood he wanted me to give him four months to work with me before my next cycle. However, after consulting two of the top REs in both Chicago and NY (Dr. Catenacci at AFCC Chicago and Dr. Irani at Cornell NY) I made the decision that I would move forward with a cycle in November. While I understood he would be disappointed, I expected him to be professional. I took the time to explain to Peter that in addition to the expert medical opinions I received encouraging me to move forward in November, there were a number of other factors (both personal and financial) that made this timing right for me. Instead, Peter became extremely enraged and aggressive. He informed me that if I moved forward with an IVF cycle in November, I would be unlikely to become pregnant. And accordingly to Peter, if I did, it would not result in a live birth. Then, he went on to share with me the story of a 43 y/o IVF patient of his he saw that day. He shared that he encouraged her to take time off before her next cycle, but she did not (as if 43 y/os have a ton of time..). She then became pregnant with twins. He said he then did not see her for 6 weeks. She then lost the twins at 10 weeks. He blamed her loss on her not keeping up with acupuncture. My reason for seeking acupuncture is in large part stress reduction. I don't need an acupuncturist scaring me to death. While I expect an opinion and advice, he was not professional or compassionate. I will be looking elsewhere.

The nurses, doctors, and nurse practitioner were always so friendly and welcoming, and really got to know their patients well. We went through a series of tests and were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. We decided to attempt IUIs - the first 2 were unsuccessful, but the 3rd IUI resulted in a pregnancy that we eventually lost at 7.5 weeks. They were very gracious when helping us through the miscarriage. We then took some time to heal and started the IVF process in July 2013. They were great at explaining the process and were supportive throughout. The actual procedures went very well. The staff at the surgical center were great. We eventually found out we were pregnant! We now have a 2.5 year old super talkative and sweet son! In January of 2016, we decided to go back and use our 2 frozen embryos. The FET process was even easier and we are now 37 weeks pregnant with our daughter. We can't thank CIVF for their help in giving us our 3 miracles!

My appointments were always on time and quick. My experience here was really terrific. Generally speaking, I don't enjoy doctors visits, medical issues, etc. but these folks made everything so painless and easy to understand. An extra big thank you to Bianca and Dana for helping me understand everything clearly, for being patient with me when I was a little nervous about things and for ultimately helping me get pregnant! This is definitely the place to go if you have these needs and want a smooth, friendly, professional and amazing experience!!

His staff of nurses including Melissa and Brittany were truly invested in our success and always were compassionate to what was going on and provided detailed next steps throughout our IVF cycles. I felt like I was truly valued as a patient and Dr. Rinehart was going to do everything he could to help us successfully have a baby. While it took some time for us to get pregnant, we were fortunate that our second IVF transfer was successful and we just welcomed our baby girl in June. Staff: Small staff with great attentive attitude and is glad to answer questions, keep your kid entertained and much more! We are happy they are happy doing what they love, and you can feel it throughout the office. Dr. Springer: Awesome (there is that word again)! He is knowledgable and sensitive to make sure you understand where is coming from. He was even flexible to include our 2 year old in the discussion to deter her boredom! Office Location/Etc: It is located in Crest Hill/North Joliet in a quiet location. The office is clean, quiet and quaint. We will be starting our journey with Dr. Springer and his staff and excited to do so! If you are traveling down the fertility road and need answers or have been on the journey and feel that your current doctor is not up to par, I would try this center!

My experience with Center of Reproductive Health has been a very traumatic one. I still have…read moreanxiety just thinking about my experience. Anyone going through infertility knows how mentally, physically, and emotionally draining it is, but my experience was even more so because of what happen to me while being treated at CRH. First off, the organization of this office is very concerning. My second visit, Dr. Springer couldn't even find medical documents from my first visit. When I asked for my medical file towards the end of my treatment, they should have been able to provide it to me the very next day; instead, it took almost a month for them to compile and gather my medical records. Secondly, the secretary/receptionist is very unpleasant. The first secretary was amazing, but she left and the person that took over is unpleasant. However, Connie and Jennifer are amazing. They are very nice and supportive. Also the nursing assistant was very nice as well. Now I will explain why I put poor for this review. During my egg retrieval procedure, Dr. Springer hit a blood vessel in my left ovary causing me to internally bleed. I went almost an entire day with blood filling up in my stomach and around all my organs. It was extremely painful. I went to the emergency room later that day after the procedure. I couldn't get a hold of Dr. Springer and neither could the doctors and nurses in the ER room. Finally, the ER doctors and nurses were able to get a hold of them early the next morning and I had to have emergency surgery. I had to take off work because I had to recover from surgery. This affected me not only physically, but also financially. This should have never happened! It wasn't even explained to me that this was even a possibility! I went to CRH because they came highly recommended and I wish more than anything that I never went to them for this highly emotional time in our lives. I even had a bad feeling the first few visits, but I ignored it. I couldn't even figure out why I had a bad feeling, but either way, I wish I would have listened to it. I will state that Dr. Springer was apologetic for hitting a blood vessel and causing me to internally bleed and he felt bad. I did stay with CRH for the last procedure (embryo transfer). The only reason why I stayed though is because we already paid for everything and we couldn't afford to go anywhere else. We couldn't even afford CRH in the first place. I was furious to see that they charged me office visits and other fees for me having to come in after my emergency surgery because of Dr. Springer's error. I didn't see this until after I finally received my medical file and I saw what they charged my insurance for visits after I had to get emergency surgery. In my own opinion, CRH tries to take as much money as they can make from their customers. However, the only thing good that came out of this very traumatic experience is that we now have a baby girl whom we love very much. We are very thankful for that. I personally would NEVER go back to Center of Reproductive Health. I do not trust Dr. Springer due to my experience. This was an extremely traumatic experience and I still have anxiety from it. I would suggest going somewhere where you trust all the staff members and where all of the employees are understanding, pleasant, and supportive. Also, somewhere where you feel like they care more about you than making money. If you feel this way about CRH, that's great, but if you don't, I would suggest finding somewhere else right away.
