the staff was very kind, reassuring, informative, and helpful. from the women escorting you to the building from the parking lot, to the front desk, and every medical staff member I interacted with, I felt comforted. my experience was efficient, accounting for less than 2 hours for checking in, pre-procedure prep, the procedure itself, and recovery. they did a great job with the procedure as well. i was extremely scared beforehand, but everyone here eased my nerves and made me feel less alone and safe during this time. the interior of the building is slightly older-looking, but it's no issue! great experience here, thank you to everyone involved! and the protestors are funny lol. read more

I want to give 5 stars simply for the fence they put up to try and protect patient's mental health. The protestors outside literally have nothing better to do with their lives except waive people down and try to guilt them from tough decisions needed to be made. (Takes me everything to not give them a piece of my mind). I've only driven past because my mechanic is next door but I appreciate the privacy and protection in placing a fence. I've gone here a couple times as moral support for friends/family members. The staff that I've dealt with here are very professional, patient and kind. One time I was there with a friend who was just there for normal check up--try going to a center for a check up that is known as an abortion clinic(but they also take payments and work with you if need be--unusual in this day and age). Staff answered all of her questions, didn't get curt with her, got the paperwork she needed for her insurance--I stood there with my mouth open, in tears, why can't they be on my plan????? read more

I have no heath insurance so I go to this clinic for low cost OBGYN visits and birth control. Dr. Ventura is the most kind and generous doctor I have ever met. She didn't even charge me for my last BCP consultation visit because she did have any free samples for me at the time. She understands that I cannot afford the outrageous out-of-pocket cost for even for generic pills and arranged for me to pick up a few months worth of free samples. The nurses and secretaries are very kind hand helpful as well. The only downfall of this place you have to plan to be there for at least an hour but up to 3 hours. It's kind of like planned parenthood except the facilities and staff are superior. read more

Don't go here if you're going to be taken care of Vanessa, and Dr Ventura, I didn't get Vanessas last name but she's a big tall lady with fake contacts, she needs to be fired immediately she doesn't understand the safety precautions that you're suppose to take for a simple ultrasound, I asked her to replace the condom that's goes on the ultra machine and it was a big problem for her, because apparently they are expensive and they are coming out her pocket. Dr Ventura was in the room and they both told each other "she is a Medicaid patient" "don't consult her about birth control she has her own primary doctor" how is a Dr listening to Vanessa? Dr Ventura obeyed and they both left the room still talking and making side comments about changing a freaking condom. Go here if they fire both of these unprofessional woman. By the way how are you not going consult me because I'm Medicaid? How do you sound isn't being a doctor your job? And why are you discriminating? The staff are wonderful, but there aren't enough nasty words in the English language to describe the director/doctor. After my experience with her in 2006 and my complaint that followed, I was told she was fired. I was 17 years old and at the clinic for an abortion after I had been raped. This woman did my post-op exam. She was beyond rude and abrasive. She scolded me for having gotten pregnant. When I told her I had been raped, that didn't change her tune. She just went on about how I should've been more careful to not get raped, and it's my responsibility to not get pregnant. Um.... what? How about it's a MAN'S responsibility to NOT RAPE?? When she told me I needed to be on birth control, I told her no, I don't want to be on birth control because I wasn't (consensually) sexually active. She then told me that she sees this all the time and I'm going to be back there for another abortion in a few months because now that I've been exposed to sex, I won't be able to stop having sex and I'll be sleeping around. Again.... wtf?? So it's now 2019. I was SHOCKED when I saw this judgmental twat still working here. Her bedside manners have not improved AT ALL. Get rid of this woman and the clinic would actually be a good place to go. read more

I received some health services at Access and honestly I was really cool with my whole experience. Everyone I spoke to was super nice and every one of them along the way asked if I had any questions or concerns, which was comforting. Considering how crowded it got while I was waiting I was really happy with how quickly I got in and out. Total wait time maybe 45 min between seeing different personnel throughout. I've seen other posters talk about a certain physician that they encountered there that was rough but I did not deal with anyone like that. The staff were really great. The building is not the Ritz-Carlton but is very clean and has a calm atmosphere. I also did not encounter any protesters or other turds outside so I'll count that as a win. read more

I went in for a medical abortion and the head nurse was already as mean as can be. Unfortunately I was having complications and went back in 3 weeks later to see what was wrong. Shoved me in & out of that place and told me I was fine. Currently sitting in Christ's ER waiting for a blood transfusion. I needed to make an appointment at the last minute, and was terrified I wouldn't get in anywhere, but they fit me in that afternoon! The staff that treats you in the back is VERY nice! I had Dr. Ventura, and she was so friendly. The front desk staff I would give 3 stars, but I'm generally harsher in that area because I used to be a medical receptionist, and I always expect the front-desk staff to be friendly and helpful. Expect to wait awhile to be seen, but the quality of care you receive once you are being treated is 5 star!!! read more

Access was old and dirty. We walked in, and walked right out. Friends had told me stories about "abortion clinics", but I brushed them off. I guess I thought there were supposed to be standards for medical clinics. Just walking into the place freaks you out. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. I went to Access Health Center back in February of this year. First off, I arrived 25 minutes before my appointment, finished all the paperwork in 10, and still had to wait an hour after my scheduled time to be seen. The staff was not friendly, maybe it was too early for them that morning, but regardless, I don't appreciate the one word answers and getting snippy when I ask questions. I had some problems with them billing my insurance and trying to bill me. Ehh, I don't think so! After I got that all taken care of, when I got home yesterday, there was a bill from them saying I still owe $600 dollars!! WHAT?! I don't think so! They were supposed to bill my insurance for the full amount! I have the world's greatest insurance through my employment and they were prepared to cover the costs. I called them and she didn't return my phone call, I had to call again!! Needless to say, the woman on the phone (hardly speaking English, I might add) was probably the rudest person I have ever dealt with, EVER!! She told me she would hang up on me if I did not listen to her. Oh, and remember at the beginning of this review when I said I went there in February, and I just got a bill yesterday......8 MONTHS LATER!!!!! This place, and its affiliates, really need to get their act together. I have never been so disgusted with a place in my entire life, until I went to access health center. I'm glad the rest of you had a nice visit, but I'm sure it won't last long. Trust me, it's worth it to pay the money and go to a much nicer place. read more
