But my fear has disintegrated overtime and with much fight on my end. The coaches are all amazing and if you're looking to get your butt whooped, then you came to the right place. For somebody who prefers Boot Camp classes over Pilates, I have definitely found where I need to be. I canceled my Orangetheory membership due to many issues of aggravation that they have caused. I will give you a few examples on what Hew does compared to a place like Orangetheory. Hew- doesnt make you sign your life away on an intimidating contract. You can cancel anytime (NO FEE) and also have the option to pay weekly. If you wanna cancel with Orangetheory you have to pay for an extra month, no if or butts. If you need to pause your membership, Orangetheory will charge you $15. That includes even if you have been physically hurt and are not unable to work out. They don't care.. Hew cares! The workouts at Hew are always different and tend to work out your entire body, unlike orange who has the same workouts every day. Hew will weigh you monthly, which includes your fat and muscle, and will sit there and write everything down for you to find a better way for results. If you have questions on your food intake, they actually sit down and care. Orange has the same machine that weighs you for your fat and muscle but charges you $20 each time . Hew wants to actually see results and each class is always different. I actually get sore and feel like I've had the best workout. I do love all the events that they host, including donations for hungry families, and presents for kids on Christmas. They have Halloween and Christmas parties and so many other functions that I can't wait to partake in.

Compliment and complaint…read more This is a large facility with a friendly staff who keeps it spotless. The equipment is well maintained and they add new equipment as demands require. I do have a complaint and I cannot find a way to transmit it on the company website. My complaint is they have a cell phone policy that the staff does not enforce and some members ignore. That means some members will tie up a machine for long times between sets while they text. For those of us who want to get their workout done in a timely way, this is irritating, Second, staying with the same policy, people talk on their cell phones while they use the treadmill or exercise bikes. That is very annoying. I hope the management will address the issues, which amounts to enforcing their written cellphone policy. Otherwise is a great gym and I would give it a higher recommendation than I am now.

There is a big sign that clearly says free training. It's disappointing because I really wanted to be trained on how to use the machines properly. I don't know who else to mention this to since I brought up to staff and all I was told no trainers and I should have not been able to schedule a class. Smh. BTW I can still schedule classes.

My first experience with orange theory was when a location was first opened in Royal Palm. I didn't…read morehave a good experience when I signed up for a promotion, so I only went for a month. Things were a lot different than, like I didn't have to pay for a heart monitor. Nowadays they want you to spend $100 for a heart monitor just to see your results come up on the TV screen. They also have over priced work out clothes that they jacked up the price because they put their name on it. When I first went to Orangetheory it was over 10 years ago and now living in Port St. Lucie you don't have that many options. My girlfriend persuade me to get a membership with her and we can go together. I was very dedicated in going and ended up doing unlimited membership for $168. I was going an average of 14 times a month and did become a bit frustrated when I didn't see any results. I do appreciate the trainers and I think they're amazing. If you have any questions or need help, they would definitely do their best. After a few months of killing myself, I needed a break. I really wanted a month off. It is kind of confusing because when I called they tell me I need to come in and then when I'm there I was told that I don't need to come in to confirm any changes. The communication is a bit off. To skip one month you have to pay a $15 fee which is extremely irritating, because I spent so much money with them. I kept going back-and-forth If I should just cancel my membership and after that annoying fee, I just flat out told them that I wanted to cancel. Another irritating factor is that you can't just cancel you have to pay for another month. Because there's nothing more irritating, after being done with some thing then for somebody to force you to pay another month. Because you didn't get enough of my money, you have to know take more. During this time, I hurt my hand and was in a lot of pain to where I couldn't even lift up a cup of water. I called to let them know if I can put my membership on hold due to my injury, which would've been the last month of my cancellation and they told me that to avoid a $15 fee I would have to go to a doctor and get a doctors note. I didn't realize I was a child who had to get permission from a doctor to avoid a fee. Just another company sucking you dry with all their irritating fees. So, if all of these irritating factors about this company, doesn't bother you, sure I would recommend them to you. I have learned my lesson for the second time not to go and sign up for this gym. This is the only gym I've ever signed up for where I have to pay so many fees and it's pretty ridiculous. I think these owners needs to get off their high horse and actually give a damn about somebody but yourself.

Plenty of cardio equipment upstairs- treadmills, stair masters, ellipticals, etc. First floor is full of strength training equipment and there are regular announcements over the loudspeakers reminding people to re-rack their weights!! LOVE this. There is a pool. A small Pilates room. Separate saunas for guys and gals in their respective locker rooms. One star is lost because bathrooms aren't always super clean, but it's not awful.

When she explained she is a woman, staff replied, "I believe you, but others are still uncomfortable." Instead of standing up against discrimination, they enforced it. This is blatant prejudice. It sends the message that appearance determines where someone "belongs," rather than their actual gender. If a short-haired woman is denied access to the women's locker room, what does that say about how they would treat a transgender woman? Staff and management at this location had the opportunity to protect a paying member's dignity and legal right to use the locker room consistent with her gender -- and they failed. Until this policy and behavior change, I urge everyone to take their business elsewhere.
