But I'm back, and they have new equipment! Yay! I didn't feel like anything was wrong (except for the SkiErg that keeps breaking. I wish they'd get a Concept2 version), but I came back to True equipment. Now there are two seated row machines and two lat pull-downs. The dip machine is a standalone machine by itself. They also added a glute builder machine. It's not a version I've used before, but it'll do. Lastly, I always finish with time in the sauna. It's always nice & hot.

This Y has great workout equipments. Some of their machines are pretty modern. I was surprised by how clean and well maintained this Y was. Bikes were amazing. You can go on a nice virtual ride. The handles turn giving you a real feel of riding the bike. One of the best bikes I have seen in the gym. They lose a star for their outdated locker room. Small showers and the access to the sauna is pretty far outside the shower near the swimming pool. They don't provide towels. Luckily my husband had an extra towel in his gym bag.

The entry into this gym is free and they offer some free/low cost classes. Check-in to the gym is pretty easy and the facility is kept clean. Also, there is free parking available. This facility is great if you want to stay active for no more money in a nice facility and they have a small work area for work-for-home employees. This gym is also great for aquatics for the kids. If you are a "gym-rat" this may not be the space for you. All in all, it's a great facility for the community and I hope it continues to impact Baltimore positively.

This facility is beautiful, and the staff make it even better. I attended a wellness expo here this weekend and truly felt surrounded by community and connection. This center was created with the intention of making Baltimore a better place and providing a space where both kids and adults can benefit. The bathrooms are HUGE and clean, there's a giant pool, basketball hoops, a gym, and an indoor track. I could keep listing all the amazing features, but everyone needs to come and visit for themselves. I am so impressed not only with the design and amenities of this place but also with the wonderful energy it has. I can't wait to come back!

I stopped by but didn't get a tour since it was late. I did speak with Steve several times about my pain and history and what exactly we were going to do in the pool. We spoke several times and he was always professional, caring, honest and friendly. I'm planning on starting aquatic therapy before May. I can say I give Steve 5/5 after speaking with him. I like that they have a ski erg machine that's comparable to that used at the event. My favorite Y is the Weinberg location, and that one is different. They also have a rope, which is useful for training the shoulders/arms. It's just in an awkward place. When the roped is pulled out to full lenght for use I felt like I was in the way. I tried two different angles and both were the same. Oh well. Sorry, not sorry. It's a big Y! They've got several sections of weights, machines, cycling rooms and the..... I guess I'll call it, Crossfit room (which is small and a bit awkward, but it works). They have weighted bags for the lunges up to 40lbs. They also have plenty of (matching) kettlebells. AND, they have weighted balls for the ball toss. The only thing missing is the sled. You can go to the Weinberg Y for that. I like this Y as well. There's plenty of room, which is good because it's much more crowded (even mid-day) than my other Y's. I was also glad to see the staff cleaning the weight rack. I mean, not just wiping it down. They removed the weights, wiped down the rack where the weights were sitting, and place the weights back. They were also removing the scuffs from the wall with the magic eraser. No wonder it looks so clean. And of course I can always count on the fireplace to chill at after my workout. Come check it out.

On a BCPS delayed start day, the facility did not clearly communicate any adjusted Stay and Play hours. The posted signage did not reflect the delayed schedule, and while staff observed me arriving with my child, this information was not proactively shared. I only learned of the adjusted hours after specifically asking. Clear and visible communication--especially on delayed start days--would help prevent confusion for families and improve the overall member experience. I appreciate your attention to this matter and hope it can be considered for future operations.

Everything had been discussed and arranged with Ms. Frances, and my appointment was scheduled for August 15. The Friday before my appointment, I received a reminder that showed an amount due. Since I knew I had already paid in full, I immediately sent a screenshot of my PayPal payment. At 6:00 PM, and again at 9:42 PM, I received an email from Ms. Frances telling me to "cancel that payment" because they no longer had access to that account. I was confused and concerned. I had used the payment option that was provided to me through their website. I called. I emailed. I left a voicemail asking her to return my call as early as she could because I understood she was busy. No response. I still got myself together and showed up for my appointment Saturday because, at that point, I had no idea what was actually happening. When I arrived, a very kind young woman at the front tried her best to help me. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about her. I waited approximately 40 minutes while Ms. Frances was with a client. Again, I understood that she was busy. But if you already knew there was an issue with my payment and my appointment, why wouldn't you make time to at least come to the front when I arrived and try to work through the issue with me? Instead, I was left standing there for approximately 40 minutes trying to figure out what was going on. And again, I want to be very clear: I was not upset with the young women at the front. They were doing what they could to help me, and one of them was especially kind and tried her best to de-escalate the situation. When Frances finally came out, she walked up to me and said, "Talk to me," while dismissing the two young women who had been trying to assist me. I explained the situation again. Her response was exactly, "Don't you see what's going on here? We are moving." I was honestly dumbfounded. Moving may explain what was happening behind the scenes, but it does not explain the lack of communication with a customer who had already paid in full $360. She then pulled up PayPal to show me that she didn't see a payment. I explained that the payment had been made on July 27th -- not the day before. Her response? "Oh." I told her that I had explained all of this in the emails I had sent. She responded, "I haven't read any of them." At that point, I was doing everything I could to keep my composure. Then came, "But a little $360 ain't worth all this." Maybe $360 isn't a big deal to some people. It was to me. More importantly, this was my birthday self-care day that I had planned and paid for in advance. Ultimately, she asked where she could send my money. I said Cash App, and she refunded me immediately. I withdrew the money immediately because, after everything that had happened, I no longer felt comfortable moving forward. And I know someone will say, "But you got your money back, so what's the big deal?" The money isn't the whole point. The point is how I was treated. I am a customer. I supported your business. I paid in full. When there was an issue with the payment, I provided proof, called, emailed, left a voicemail, and still showed up willing to work things out. I didn't expect perfection. I expected communication, professionalism, and basic kindness. We are all human. Businesses have things happen. Businesses move, systems change, accounts get lost, mistakes happen. I can understand all of that. What I cannot understand is making someone who has already done everything they were supposed to do feel like THEY are the problem for asking questions about their money and their appointment. Wherever life takes us, I believe we have to remember to stay humble and, at the very least, be kind to the people who choose to support us. I got my $360 back. And 2 days later I got an BS apology via email with a video of herself showing her new studio space, hoping that I will come back once they have moved and she will give me a whole $20 off my little $360... But I also got something else: a very clear understanding that this is not a business I feel comfortable supporting again. And sometimes that's the part that matters most. AND IN THE EVENT THAT I NEED TO I CAN AND WILL ATTACH THE AUDIO, VIDEO AND EMAIL THREAD...
