A few months ago I met a friend here with her kids for a day at the pool. So first you have to pay for parking and it's a different fee if you're from out of county. Then once you park you have to pay to get in. Just a heads up. The pools are quite large and there is seating all around. Most people go to the shade first so it took some time to find a place to sit. There are slides and a separate pool for babies/toddlers. There was also a sand area and a few food options just in case the kids get hungry. I had a good time and would go back with kids but def not alone as an adult.

With the BEST sand pit with a water table in the center, a fenced off kiddie pool and a great shallow pool with a water playground at the center... We have been to a few of the water parks in the NOVA Parks system and this definitely is the best among the smaller and cheaper ones (a few cost about twice as much and are geared for the older crowds I assume). The smaller ones like this are perfect for families with small children who can't go on big water slides yet but want more excitement than a regular pool has to offer. The sand pit has a LOT of shade and tons of sand toys. We could have stayed there all day with my 1.5 and 3 year old girls. They were fully occupied playing by themselves. The water table in the middle really is the icing on the cake. It has running water and helps to get wet sand for sandcastles or just do sensory play. There are a bunch of little "table" surfaces to play on too. Yes the food is terrible, cheap, and unhealthy, and the lines are long. Just plan ahead and bring a cooler with your own snacks (lots of people were doing this) or order pizza.

What a cute, small-scale water park close to home! I came here with my 2 year old during a weekday around noon and although it was pretty packed, there are plenty of chairs where people leave their bags around. I didn't feel pressure to splurge for a locker. I think admission is $8 for 2+, but the gal behind the desk didn't charge for my son so I was fine with that. I like that this water park is geared more towards 6 and under; all the water is pretty much 4 feet and under so my little man was able to walk around without his swim vest (which they also have available for free). The slides and equipment can get pretty rowdy with a bunch of older kids and boys shoving and pushing, so if you have a little one you should try to shadow them as best as possible. The slides go fast. The lifeguards are pretty whistle-happy and overzealous but I'm glad they are doing their job. They also have a nice small kids park (with gate) for kids 5 and under to wade around and go down a smaller slide, which is where we spent most of our time. I got him a cheeseburger at the concession stand, which was fine and I didn't experience the wait or all the problems everyone else did. No one looks in your bag for food so I don't think food should be much of an issue regardless. Overall, the kids can be a bit rowdy here so if you have more than one child, you should keep that in mind, but we had a great time here for a reasonable rate.

Way less crowded than other similar water parks in the area. Food was decent for a water park too.

There was a nice covering over the tiny slide and shallow area when the kids need a break from the sun. We also grabbed food while we were there. It was decently priced and taste for a small waterpark. We were able to get a personal pizza, chips, drink, and fries for $10. Pretty typical food selection/prices for an amusement type place. We will be visiting again! It was well suited for my 2 and 5 year old. I can't review any of the rest of the park as I went just to go to the toddler area.

We visited Leitch Water Park in Woodbridge, Virginia for a birthday party, and while the kids had…read moresome fun, the overall experience was pretty disappointing and not well organized. One of the biggest issues was at entry. The host of the party was not clearly informed that she would be required to pay for all party guests at once. She had assumed each guest could pay individually, so this came as a surprise at check-in. The manager on duty explained that while it wasn't a contract requirement, it was their preferred and "most efficient" way of handling party admissions and that they were asking all parties to do it that way that day. This created confusion and inconvenience, especially for parents who were not prepared for it. Food service was another letdown. Outside food wasn't allowed, which is understandable, but the available food options were very limited and not good quality. The pizza was especially disappointing, the crust tasted stale and had an unpleasant, almost frostbitten texture. I also ordered walking nachos, and they were made immediately but then left sitting while we waited for chicken tenders. By the time everything was ready, the chips were soggy and the toppings were cold. When I asked if they could remake them fresh, the staff began talking and laughing among themselves, which came across as unprofessional and dismissive. The park itself was not overly crowded, but there were several rules that didn't seem to make much sense and took away from the kids' enjoyment. The party host also mentioned she was not told the party area would include sand. This was frustrating, as it meant constantly rinsing sand off before going back into the pool area. I also noticed sand at the bottom of the pool, which wasn't very appealing. Overall, the park felt outdated and overpriced for what it offers. Between the confusing policies, underwhelming food, and lack of clear communication, I wouldn't make the drive to return. It has potential, but it definitely needs improvements in organization and upkeep.

Could have saved half the cost by just buying for 2 kids. You definitely don't need more than an hour either. It's really loud, so it's not great for autistic or sensory sensitive kids. My kids don't enjoy water directly in their face, and there's nowhere to go that doesn't have water landing directly in your face. There's nowhere for adults to sit, and it's a small room so there's residual splashing everywhere; wear pool shoes even if you don't go on the play structure and are just supervising the kids. Staff were very friendly, and the overall sports/rec facility looks huge and very clean. Locker rooms were very clean as well. For our family, however, it just wasn't worth the price paid nor was it the type of water park that would work for older kids or autistic kids.

So when I saw the updates I was surprised, totally blown away, in a good way. Sidenote: I recall Amazon announced they were coming many years prior. There were city council meetings, upset residents, business proposals, lots of conversation and locals were not happy about it. People were concerned the value of property would get forced up and the cost to living there would increase significantly thus making it not affordable for locals. I am not sure how all that settled since the re-development. When the construction began, I was just upset they were destroying the Water Park. Watching building get torn down is weird. Tearing things down and soooo much construction. Sooooo, although I don't live there nor work there any longer, I am pleased with what they did with the Water Park. It seems like they kept the integrity, yet enhanced it to bring it up to speed with a more modern feel and a great place to gather. They have made such a good use of space. There are mini-restautants lining the entire park. It's also equipped with full restaurants, bar, a real DJ and public restrooms. Still a great point to meet for a bite, hang out, relax and be with nature. The new set-up is a whole vibe. They even incorporated the theme of the VRE trains into the landscape. Each food stall is like a mini-train. They did really well with the new look and set-up. Parking still free after 4pm and on weekends. Thank goodness for that. They better keep it that way and not get greedy! It's been that way so keep it that way. So many people use the Mt Vernon Trail and this is a major artery to access it.

For example, the leftmost one closed at 6:15, the second one closed at 6:30, and so on. What they don't tell you, which I do think would be key (kids and their bladders) is that they start cleaning the bathrooms out around 10 minutes before they close... so really you can't use the first bathroom after 6:05. Other than that, the park is cool! Seating is first come first serve, and they close promptly at 7.

The adults entered the restrooms to change into swimwear. The children were already prepared. We were actually able to locate 5 chairs in a nicely shaded area. Now let me tell you, this is not the place for you if you are looking to go swimming. This place has a lazy river so this is a highlight for a lazy river lover like me. We had two 7 year old and a 10 year old. They could either use a tube for the lazy river or go to the center to play in the water . This place was small enough and kid friendly enough to allow the children to play while the adults were in the lazy river with the kids or just relaxing on the side in the sun. Our party of 5 truly had a blast. The only downfall of our experience was that we didn't know that you were either allowed to bring your food and drink or you could have something delivered.
