The employees may just be lacking social skills. A friendly greeting and a smile from the employees would certainly be appreciated. It's hard to believe they are not trained to be friendly and not annoyed with customers. I tried to be extra friendly and appreciative of their service hoping to change their attitude. It did not. I compared the prices of their bags of potting soil with Home Depot's prices. Home Depot is much, much less expensive. I won't return.

They do not honor their mistakes, I honestly am in shock reading the reviews how this place is still in business not only that you cannot get a hold of corporate in anyway, the only number that I found you cannot leave a message because the mailbox is full, that says it all right there! Please consider buying from small business nurseries!!

I don't know what is happening to the Houston Garden Center on Tomball Parkway off Highway 249…read more I've been shopping there for years, but my recent experience was very disappointing. On July 2, 2026 at around 8:00 a.m., I selected a shrub that was clearly marked at $30 (half price). When I got to the register, I noticed I was being charged $35 for the plant. I politely questioned the price and even told the cashier I had taken a picture of the sign showing it was marked at $30. Instead of offering to help or calling a manager, the cashier seemed completely uninterested and simply pointed toward the building, telling me to speak with the manager myself. I asked if she could please get the manager while I went to take a picture of the price, but she made no effort to assist. I then found the manager and took her to the display. The sign clearly showed the shrubs were priced at $30, and every plant in that section was the exact same variety. The manager told me the plant was probably misplaced and refused to honor the posted price, explaining that she was a new manager and could not do that. For a difference of only $5, I expected much better customer service. A business that values its customers would have honored the advertised price or at least made an effort to resolve the situation. I've always enjoyed shopping at this location, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I hope Houston Garden Center takes customer service more seriously in the future and ensures that prices are accurate and that employees are empowered to resolve simple issues professionally.

This is strictly the home delivery department- I find it…read morehard to believe a 14 hour window is needed for deliveries. This is absolutely absurd. Even a 6 hour window would be more acceptable - 4 - 6 hours would be ideal and is issued by anyone I've had deliveries, from furniture to lumber. Update: They were suppose to call 30 minutes in advance. They texted less than 10 minutes before they arrived. As the driver unloaded I went to view the items and open boxes, I mentioned to the driver-this did not look like enough material-let's look at it. As I opened a box...it was damaged tile in addition I was supposed to get 18 boxes-I only received 6, and they were damaged. By the time I looked up, the driver left. He hit our neighbors mailbox in doing so and never returned. The driver ignored me and any communication. I informed home depot, they initially wanted my neighbor to handle the repairs of the mailbox-? Really- I was instructed to contact Sedgwick using a phone #, when I called I received an extortion type survey question; it ask if I would mind...then leaves no option except to complete a survey-then you speak with no one. it needs to be fixed, at home depot's expense. I received a call about an hour later- that delivery was just a partial-they were going to send this delivery in 2 separate shipments. We weren't told this from the beginning either. Home depot needs Another logistics team-this has been very disappointing and discouraging. we had plans for a kitchen remodel - after this -We might be going to someone else to do the work. I will be willing to issue feedback after this is resolved. It seems like surveys and feedback should be requested after a customer receives the service that is expected and an attempt to actually resolve the issue. A survey isn't what is considered customer service in my book-just more red tape.
