What a beautiful day at Spring Creek Growers. Everyone was so helpful! We found a great looking 7.5 foot Leeland Christmas tree. The bakery had yummy cookies from I think it was called half baked bakery, seasonal candies, coffee, bottled drinks and hot chocolate. I wish that they had some small breakfast items, but all in all it was a great experience. Plenty of activities for the kids and they pick up the tree for you after you cut it down and also load it on your car. I think the price was reasonable for a Leeland this size and with today's prices. We have been here before, but I noticed that someone mentioned that they started charging admission fees per person. We didn't encounter that, but the sign does say that the activities on the properly are for people coming to purchase a tree. read more

My family and I have been getting a tree from here since 2011. Never had a problem till this year. Make sure you are looking at the people putting the trees in your car they will scratch the shxx out of your doors because they will have their knives in their pocket and owners will denied that it ever happen there. Just make sure you are watching them when they are putting the tree on the car. Basically paid 200 bucks for a tree and scratch on my door and they are deep. read more

I've been bringing my family to this place for almost 10 years to cut down our Christmas tree. It's a tradition. If you asked me last year, I would have rated them 4 or 5 stars. This year my opinion has really changed. They decided to start charging $7 admission per person to enter. Why in a year where so many are suffering would you decide to start charging admission? And per person at that, not even by the car load? Most people bring their entire family. For four of us, we would pay $28 before we even start looking for a $100 tree. My daughter is in town for the holidays, it's her freshman year at Loyola Univ in N.O.! So instead of going to a grocery store or some parking lot tree sales person 5-10 mins from the house to grab a tree, we decided to take a road trip to a farm to catch up, hang out and possibly start a new tradition! 59 minutes to travel 34 miles down the horrendous HWY 290 is about average in Houston Traffic but it was perfect time to chat. Arriving to the park, the super green trees had the car load in awe and we were excited at the chance of taking pics, cutting a tree for the first time and making new memories. Unfortunately Spring Creek Growers was closed at 2:47pm on Saturday?!?!? The website said they were open til 5pm! While sitting there, called the number and the answering service said they were open til 5pm for precut trees only. Not a problem, still take a few photos, and grab a precut and plan better next year. Called and called cause I saw workers walking between the buildings but no answer and no one came to open gate. Few more cars pulled in and out after sitting around a few minutes, but we sat there 10 mins hoping someone would come to the gate. 2 stars for the joy we felt when we arrived and saw all the beautiful Christmas trees. No stars for the information on the website/phone message recording. Maybe....next year. read more

This was our first year to cut down our own tree as opposed to buying a precut Douglas Fir. It was a fun experience with numerous activities, shopping photo opportunities, and even a small cafe. The employees were chipper and helpful. The woman working the information booth was extremely helpful with explaining how things worked, where to go and what to do. The man driving the tractor immediately helped us load our tree and drive it back to be shaken and netted. Finally, the team to load it in our car was very polite as well. Overall, it was a fun experience. We will definitely be back in the future! read more

Have you ever wanted to take the family to a tree farm to pick out your personal Christmas tree? Our family had the same thought and found Spring Creek Growers a few years ago. This is our family's way to kick off Christmas season. Once you get outfitted with a saw and measuring pole you are taken by way of a hay ride out to the tree groves so you can pick that special tree that fits your home just perfect. After you cut your own tree, takes about 45 seconds with their sharp saw, the tractor driver will load the tree onto the trailer and you return back to the barn via another hay ride. Once back at the barn they take your tree and clean it up and bundle it in a plastic mesh to keep it manageable for its trip home with you. If you have extra time there are activities for the kids, peddle cart racing, fishing pond Huck fin style, with cane poles, Viewing zoo, a fort to play in and the Pumpkin patch. But the best part is IT IS FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED!! You will get that Family operated feeling when you arrive. No one there is going to rush you in and back out with your tree! We have always been presented with a smile and an honest eagerness to help by every staff member we have encountered. read more

Terrible service, employees that work here give horrible attitude inside the shops, but when looking for a tree or cutting one down the men are very polite and help you out. When making s'mores a worker came up and tried to tell us we needed to leave after we had told him we bought s'more kits, and the s'more kits are a bit expensive for only having two marshmallows inside for $5. read more

Went 5 days before Christmas to get a tree. It was completely empty so one would expect great service but the 2 attendants were a little to busy chatting up another person than to walk is through the process of getting a tree. Had to wait for them to acknowledge I was waiting on them to stop talking to get some assistance. A comment was even made by one of the attendants "I wish people would just come on one day." Than we picked out the tree, the gentleman was polite but it felt like we were disturbing him to get him to help us. Went with my family to pick out a tree for the holidays and ended up with a massively crooked tree that wouldn't stand up. We tried to talk to the owner to see if he could help us make it work and he was rude and did not want to help. Said he didn't want us back. Would NOT recommend. read more

We went here for the Fall Fun Days with our 3 kids, and were very disappointed. The staff was very friendly, but the ad and website are very misleading. It was $70 for admission for 2 adults and 3 kids to get in, which was advertised as including a pumpkin patch, farm animal viewing, a corn maze, a spooky garden, and a storybook garden. Then we bought additional admission for the fishing pond, the hayride, and the games. First, there was no corn maze. Second, the animal viewing consisted of 1 goat, 1 pig and a handful of roosters. The spooky garden was simply a few haystacks with some decorative pumkins on them, and some fake spiderwebs with 2 sparkly spiders draped behind it. Nothing more than a photo op. The storybook garden was nothing more than about 8 feet of planted veggies. I was told that this was a storybook garden because it resembles Peter Rabbit. The pumpkin patch was a small area with a small selection of very expensive pumpkins, again- just another photo op. The hayride was relaxing, it wove through the Christmas tree lot. Then it drops you off for another photo op at a treehouse, This treehouse is not a play area, it is just a treehouse. Neat, but I was hoping it was something fun for the kids. The game area was not what we expected, either. My little ones most enjoyed climbing on the haystacks, but they also offered a pretty cool little game where you used water pumps to try to race your rubber duck the fastest, Other than that, the rodeo bouncers were sad- they were simply small inflatable purple horses, laying in the grass. They also had some tricycles to ride around a small circle. They had pedal karts, which were like bigger tricycles, but those were yet another additional charge. The snack bar/grill did not have bbq and sausage like the website said, it only had bags of chips and drinks. It gave us something to do for an hour or so, but it was a very expensive hour. This was our first fall outing of the season, and I am sincerely hoping we find better ones. read more
