Are you needing some Christmas spirit or just a tree, then time to visit Spring Creek Growers. It's a wonderful tree lot that has tons of choices for a variety of trees. It has a cute store that has ornaments, Christmas decor, a wreath barn, and hayride. I love the experience and Christmas feel that I get when I go there. This is truly Santa's workshop!

The bakery had yummy cookies from I think it was called half baked bakery, seasonal candies, coffee, bottled drinks and hot chocolate.

They also have a wonderful selection of pots and gift items to choose from. I did not get a chance to see everything but I will try to next time. I did buy some wonderful flowers. I planted them right when I got home. They are looking great!!! Some people say they are pricey. For me they seem to be the same as every where else. The cashier was nice. One thing I will mention: they do charge a fee of 3% on credit card charges. If you pay by debit or cash no extra fee.

About 6 months ago, would have said "fun place to shop, a gardening experience." Prices were…read morehigher than many places, but felt that plant inventory turned over quickly, so no neglected plants. Quality seemed really good. The parking had been a nightmare, so we quit making the drive. Was looking for a specific larger plant, so went back on a weekday. They have improved with expanded, semipaved parking at the back of the property. (But we WOULDN't go on weekends.) However, WATCH for the proper signs on the PRICES for a specific sized pot! I had previously bought some annuals that I liked and, finding them no where else, went back for more. Found more colors than before of that annual, so loaded up a cart. Sign gave a price which was really good for them (!). THAT should have been a tip off. What I didnt realize was that the price on the sign was for a slightly smaller container, of which there were NONE! Shock at the register when the total was given. Cut my purchase in half and complained about the signage. But, it was MY problem for not being able to discern the larger size of the pot with the smaller pot's price posted as the only price anywhere around, with the misleading sign adding to the misdirection. No apologies or excuses offered. I WAS in the wrong, according to them. Gives me an idea of what they are doing with the prices if you aren't paying enough attention. Putting out different sized pots without putting out proper price information for the proper inventory. If you don't mind paying more for a place with knowledgeable staff, go to Plants for All Seasons, there is one on Tomball Parkway (FM 249).

Here in the Gulf Coast, it's "NOW IMPERATIVE" that you plant ONLY IN THE FALL [OCT is ideal], and NOT IN THE SPRING. Reason is, that the past few years have had [and MAY continue to have] BRUTAL SPRINGS [meaning... July/August HEAT in April/May]. A tree planted in the Spring has absolutely no chance to develop a new root system capable to supporting that tree for the rest of a [potential] very HOT year. A tree planted in the FALL will have upwards to 5-6 months of cooler/cold weather to grow a root system. Yes!! Trees continue to grow their roots even if they've dropped all their leaves. Notice that that 1 star review was made in May of '22; that was not the fault of BVTree Farm. That was the 1st year of high heat in Spring. Who Knew!! Times [weather] have changed, and we need to change as well. By the way, this is just my opinion, and I do not represent, and/or am I compensated by BVTree farm. I'm 83 yrs old, and I try not to make the same "mistake" twice; I purchased an [on-line/delivered from out of state] tree in Spring of '21, and it failed due to the NEW heat issue. I plan on purchasing a new tree this week, and will get that sucker in ground by mid Oct. Good luck with your choices..

We paid over $100 for it. Talked to them and they don't do refunds or exchanges. Blamed it on "Mother Nature". Also they are not always open during stated business hours. Long drive out to find they are closed. Won't be doing business there. Buyer beware.
