I was in the store last weekend and Autum the cashier is a very rude little girl. after itild her she was rude she ran off with fake tears. her mother works there so they lied and defended her. she had no business waiting on customers. if they heard the audio they would hear her arguing with me. that's not how you treat a customwr that has been going in that store for 10 plus years. then the mother lied to cover for her daughter due ill behaved little girl. Shocked at how busy this place always is on weekends. Expensive plants, citrus, and fruit. Can find way better prices at other nurseries such as JRN. I was a little nervous about ordering a high-value plant like a Monstera Thai Constellation online, so I chose the 11cm pot to test the quality before spending more on a larger specimen. I can confidently say the experience was flawless, especially given the incredibly low price of just £12. Not only was the next-day delivery incredibly fast, but the plant arrived in pristine condition, perfectly packaged to prevent any damage during transit. The leaves are incredibly vibrant and healthy, and the variegation is simply gorgeous. A new leaf was already on its way when it arrived, which is a testament to how well cared for their plants are. THEY USE STYROFOAM IN THEIR SOIL. They have a mediocre selection of plants - mostly catered to yard work, not plant collectors (e.g no anthuriums). They carry plenty of soil and worm castings. They price things higher here. I don't expect customer service from a plant nursery but as another reviewer mentioned, the rude stares from the staff made me uncomfortable. I bought my pilea peperomioides from here. I took the soil apart, and the soil was heavily compacted, dry, and felt like styrofoam chunks. I inspected the "perlite" more and realized they were indeed styrofoam. Opting to use cheaper substrate to aerate your plants is not the way to go, especially if you're pricing your items higher. Thought I'd support a local business and was disappointed. Overall, I would not recommend coming here. Their prices are higher and use styrofoam to aerate the soil. Hard pass. read more

Friendly place, decent service. I couldn't find the variety of roses I needed, but they do have a good selection of roses. They have a great selection of fertilizers and natural soil amendments. Five stars for that part. Overall, I would have given them a five star review... but I left my name and number to find out if I could maybe special order the roses I needed. No call back. I called a few days later, they still weren't sure. I ordered them online instead. I'd rather buy my plants local. Every time I go to buy plants here they try and overcharge me. Every single time I go back and take photos of the prices so as not to be over charged. Then they get an attitude when the customers is upset they we were over charged. It's not worth it, which is a shame since their products are great quality! read more

I have only visited here once and I fell in LOVEEEEE! I went right after the cold front that hit houston and they still had a good amount of herbs and have the most beautiful houseplants in their greenhouse! They do have some harder to find plants (monkey tail cactus & "bo0bie" cactus). They also were giving away free bulbs and seeds at checkout and everyone was very kind. I have spoken with her brother and the numerous staff regarding different issues (garden, plants, fertilizers, pests, etc.) . Great plants, knowledgable employees who have always been so polite and helpful. Plants for All Seasons has long been our favorite and most trusted nursery. So, we were very disappointed today when we dropped by in the rain to pick up a few vegetables and faced unmasked employees both ourside and in the check-out portion. My husband politely questioned, "No mask?" The bearded man (whom I have always really liked) replied with a hint of defiance, "I don't wear masks." We skirted him and went to another man who was thoughtful enough to cover his face. My husband went inside to pay only to face a man and woman with no masks! Obviously management is def iant of Texas mask code and without concern of others. In the immediate future when we are replacing a large garden of winter-damaged plants, we will be search for another nursery. read more

My wife and I (who are African American) have purchased a few plants from this store, and never really paid attention to how we were treated as customers until recently. We have been ignored and not helped liked the other customers. I don't think PFAS appreciate our business so we will not be going back ever again. Our dollars might not matter much, but if more people like us read this post or others that care about how others are treated that don't look like them stop buying their plants. I'm willing to pay more at PFAS for many items, in order to support their expertise that is unavailable elsewhere. I don't ever want to go to another nursery but Plant for All Seasons! I've strayed and went to big box stores looking for deals and ended with a less satisfying experience. Surely there must be better? Even lured by coupons to Houston Garden Centers and you know what? You really do get what you pay for. Each time I've come here, there were very knowledgable people to answer questions. One even drew me a diagram on how to plant a a tree properly. Another time, someone gave me great landscaping ideas after looking at a pic of my yard. Super patient and helpful people. I bought a blueberry plant at one of the big box stores for $10. I picked the best from the lot and it kind of resembled a cousin to Charlie Brown's Christmas tree. A limb clinging for life, seriously, it was just a branch. For the same money, at PFAS you got at least 3 branches and even tiny berries! Hope! But for 3 times the money you got a full on bush! I read that a good blueberry bush can yield 15 lbs in a year. Organic blueberries are what? Around $5/pint. Oh awesome return on investment! I went with the big beautiful bush. Thank you. Yup. P.S. Adorable garden decor can be found all over to purchase/ from plant hangers to pot gnomes ~ Clean, well-stocked restroom that I wasn't scared to visit while my mother fawned over different eggplant and tomato plants. There is a butterfly hatchery that you can go into! Beautiful flowers and butterflies were quite the sight to see. They sell things made in Texas for Texas lawns and follow Randy Lemmons' advice as closely as they reasonably can. I have been coming here for years and have never, ever been disappointed. They sell ladybugs and worms. Leaf mold compost which is excellent for your lawn. The other day I took pictures and emailed them to PFAS and they emailed me back with what they suspect my problem is. I love the help here. They are always seeking out customers to assist. . They have great advice, friendly knowledgeable staff who've been here forever. I just can't say enough good thing about them. I flew to Houston to spend time with my daughter as it's her birthday and one of the things we planned was to help landscape her yard. (I have a 2-acre garden back in GA.) We came to the nursery on the 10th of May with the plan to buy soil, plants, etc. With ~24 minutes left before closing, we were turned away and were told they were closing so they could beat traffic. (Traffic was already bad as it took us a while to get to the store.) I'm surprised a local business, which we wanted to support, would turn away a customer. We ended up going next door to Home Depot and spent $525.00. This is the first of 4-5 trips. We were told, "come back tomorrow". I don't have that much time here to help and we ended up working on the yard all last night. Surprised this company could turn away $2.5K from one customer. Gardening without the commercial appeal, I've finally found you! My grandmother used her chickens to fertilize her vegetable garden and it was always so fertile. Never ran to the grocery store except to sell her stuff and now I know it's because of the chicken manure. The chicken compost I've found here is the real stuff; light to shovel with high organic nitrogen,calcium and other mineral content. No synthetics. It does have a small smell the first few days of use but a good mixture of compost and soil (1:1 or 1:2) does well for our balcony garden. I'm in awe they have authentic Chiltepines and lime trees (non-hybrids). Charming, efficient, clean and well-taken care of. I love the green vibe to this place. read more

I love this nursery...They have beautiful roses that I cannot find at other nurseries throughout Houston, and this is the only nursery I've been to in Houston who has alyssum in stock. There is a little indoor shop stocked with orchids, terrariums and gift items and I was able to find a pretty ceramic orchid pot at a great price. There are ample variety of flowers and citrus trees and some great pottery at great prices, and the staff are so attentive and helpful and always willing to lend a hand with lifting heavy items like pottery and loading them into the car...so glad we found this place. Despite the distance from my home, this is one of my go-to nurseries now...well, worth the drive. read more

Definitely my go-to place for quality plants and any kind of gardening advice! Have a plant with spots on its leaves? Pluck a leaf or two and take it there. They'll let you know whether it's fungus, a nutrition issue, or insects. And they'll have the remedy. They've helped me with lawn problems, pest problems, and finding the perfect ground over. There are cheaper places around, but then you better know what you're doing, 'cause you're on your own. I had a friend who bought something from a cheapo garden center and almost killed his huge gorgeous magnolia tree. Stick with people who know their stuff! read more
