We had a fantastic experience with Josh at The Yard Dr. After looking at a few other options and getting some other quotes, we emailed Josh and he came out to give us a bid. Before he even told us the bid I was already sold! (Which is saying a lot because I'm very price-motivated.) He completely won us over for a few reasons: 1) He respected our busy lives throughout the process. For example... Before his first visit, he was professional by calling to ask if it would be okay if he came 30 mins late, instead of just showing up 30+ mins late without warning like the other people. Seriously, the other landscapers we had come give bids were all really late--up to 4 hours late!--and I loved that Josh respected our busy lives. 2) Josh is very knowledgeable and honest--a great pairing! He told us ways to save money and still get the job done. Cheaper rocks here, a couple fewer plants there, all to help us get within our budget while still totally capturing the vision. If you are looking for someone who will let you have some say in the process but knows their stuff well enough that you could trust they'd do a fantastic job all on their own, then Josh is your guy! 3) He valued us as clients. Other landscapers seemed to have an I'm-too-busy-and-don't-need-your-business-but-I'll-give-you-a-bid-anyway kind of attitude. Josh obviously had other clients he was working to please, but he was able to fit us in a couple weeks out instead of making us wait months. He was efficient and effective when communicating about the progress of the job and the actual execution. And he always made time to answer our questions. Josh Cooper, The Yard DR, and his team did an outstanding job on turning our ho-hum yard into a lush, vibrant area that is both striking and enjoyable. Josh met with us to go over what we wanted to do. He made some suggestions but he respected our ideas as well. With him, we put together a plan that redid our entire yard at a price that was a great value. I cannot say enough about how positive our experience has been working with Josh. We recently moved to Ivins into a brand new home (no yard!) and know virtually nothing about desert flora.
