This is our second review because Patriots Landscaping did a huge 2nd job for us. We asked JR, the owner, to design a hedge that would hide an ugly sales office that our developer decided to place within our view. He designed the hedge to visually decrease the impact of the building without destroying our view of the mountain range behind our home...no small feat. Not only did we reduce the impact of the building, but it GREATLY improved the landscaping design of our backyard. WIN-WIN., We don't do business with people we don't trust, like of respect. This is not the case with Patriots Landscaping, twice we've used them and twice they over delivered on their promises. We recommend them highly. read more

Incompetent. I couldn't recommend to anyone. They took care of my properties for 2 years and ended up killing off a few trees and water starved all the other trees on the property. They were supposed to winterize the drip system and told me they had done it. Come spring the backflow had to be replaced because they never winterized it. Then it was rebuilt by Anthony. The backflow was never tightened up and leaked everywhere when it was turned on. They came back and fixed the backflow but never turned the water back on. So the whole season nothing was getting water. Every time I asked if everything was working and getting water I was told yes. So when I finally took it upon myself to check for myself, I discovered they never turned the water back on after fixing the backflow for the second time. So the whole spring and summer they lied to me about the plants getting water. So I'm working up a case with the Registrar of Contractors office. read more

**Warning: Avoid Patriot Landscaping and José Robles** I feel compelled to share my deeply disappointing experience with Patriot Landscaping. In March 2024, I handed my landscape architect's plans to José Robles, to bid. He presented me with a quote of $80,000, promising that the job would be completed in eight weeks. With enthusiasm and trust, I signed the contract and paid a 50% deposit, and told by Jose he had to have 60% down to purchase all materials immediately, even though the job wouldn't begin for another 14 days. I believed I was making a sound investment in my vision and I felt good about giving project to Patriot/Jose, a family that served in the USA military, as Jose told me his adoption story and all about his foster father who served our country. As the eight-week mark came and went, my excitement turned to anxiety. The job was far from complete, and my concerns grew louder. When I confronted José about the deposit, he admitted to using my hard-earned money on other projects, promising to do his best to get my job finished as soon as possible. His words were hollow as months dragged on with minimal progress and countless broken promises. In my quest for answers, I reached out to vendors who carried similar products I had chosen, only to discover that Patriot Landscaping was not to be trusted. Desperate to move the project forward, I took matters into my own hands and purchased the materials myself. However, I was forced to make major compromises, settling for what was available locally instead of the carefully selected items I had chosen and José had assured me that my preferred materials were on order, but as I discovered it turned out to be a lie; none of the suppliers would accept his order. Despite deducting the cost of these materials from the remaining balance, the job remained unfinished. Frustrated and heartbroken, I ultimately took Patriot Landscaping to small claims court and won a judgment for over $15,000, plus 6% interest. Yet, even after this victory, they have made no genuine effort to communicate or settle the payment. In summary, I urge anyone considering the services of José Robles and Patriot Landscaping to tread carefully. My experience has been riddled with distress, financial loss, and the emotional turmoil of wanting to be a good client while facing continued letdowns while watching him drive up in his brand new Tesla, new truck and new trailer that he purchased during this time. BEWARE..I'm Judi V and this is my 3rd review. We hired JR to plant 22 shrubs & 12 rose bushes on June 25, 2024. Texted on Jul 17th..5 plants dying, Aug 11th all are dying, Oct 5th...ALL ARE DIED. He would repeatedly tell us to increase water. Over several months, despite multiple texts, no shows and promises (3 times saying he was getting replacements in Calif.) he NEVER SHOWED UP w/PLANTS or HONORED HIS WARRANTY. We later learned from other professionals that the new irrigation line he installed incorrectly (double watered) and shrubs he planted too deep on bedrock (18") caused them to drown. Nine months later and with a HOA deadline of Mar 25th, my 93 year old husband removed the dead plants by himself, AFTER JR twice promised to send a crew...again no shows. We incurred $2206 out of pocket to repair water line, and replant ONLY 11 shrubs. When we asked for reimbursement, we were told "we weren't patient enough." At some point, integrity matters. I asked for my weeds to be removed, which they did. I needed a new drip system timer of which he charged 70 dollars. It was promised several times but it is a month later and still no timer and no return of my money. Very untrustworthy. they charged me 300 dollars over all . It was a big rip off. read more

JR, the owner, is super responsive AND responsible. He has great ideas, lots of experience, lots of resources and a highly capable crew. He helped me put together a landscaping plan that checked all the boxes for beauty, water efficiency and durability. He was fair in his pricing, timely in his updates, informative about plant species. We replaced one lawn with rocks/plants and the other with turf. We added palms and he installed a new water efficient drip system and low voltage lighting. We are really happy with his work and the work of his crew. Over the past year I have hired eight different contractors, including their subs, and none of them delivered their services and products within the time or money contractually agreed to....except Patriots Landscaping. I had been wanting to do some significant landscaping to the side and front yard area and just couldn't find anyone who was responsive to my requests. JR was referred by a neighbor and immediately came and gave me a very fair quote. He and his team showed up on time, finished all the projects and cleaned up each time. They answered my call and scheduled an appointment. Several days before, I confirmed the appointment with my name and address. They never showed up and didn't answer after that. Sadly I find this to be the case with every landscaping company I've reached out to. I wish I had a job that I didn't need to respond to my customers and could still stay in business. I would say it's terrible customer service but actually it's just non-existent. read more
