Yard Experts is exceptional--by far the best at what they do. We switched from a different service about six months ago, and it has turned out to be a huge upgrade. Jorge, Richard, and Hugo were the guys that have done most of our work, which includes regular trimming and cleanup, and most recently they reset some pavers that had settled unevenly over time. I requested an estimate on their website and I was contacted the next business day. Everyone I worked with through scheduling, estimate, and sod installation was professional, prompt and friendly. The work was exactly as ordered, and price was competitive. The workers assured me that someone would be by in a few weeks to check on growth. The Yard Experts serviced my front and back yard for all of 2011. I was very satisfied. However this year their service has really suffered. Not sure what went wrong. The crew last year would adjust my irrigation system as the weather permitted. During the winter weather, they cut the watering down drastically because the plants didn't need it. Noticed a couple weeks ago that my plants were dying. Grass was brown, plants were all sagging and droopy. When the crew showed up I went to talk to them about the condition of my yard and not one of them spoke any English. Between the three guys and me I was able to communicate a little bit that my yard needed more water and to have them set the irrigation so that it waters more. They figured it out and now my grass is greening up and the plants look much better. But I imagine had I not said anything they wouldn't have done anything about it. The crew last year had at least one member that spoke fluent English and I was able to communicate with them. Also have billing issues this year that I never had last year. I hope they fix their service. For now I'm switching to another company. read more

Do yourself a favor and skip this landscaper. Their work is ok at best. I was getting tired of the lackluster look of their job lately. Sometimes I couldn't really tell they had been there except for a bunch of rocks in my pool. The other day they call me and want a 50 % increase on the price we had agreed to with no explanation why. Hands down best quote and most experienced team! Before the yard experts I hired Justin's landscaping to put pavers in my back yard. This guy ruined the slope of my yard and took over a month to half complete the job. I felt so taken advantage of and my yard was worse than before! I recently had The Yard Experts do irrigation service and repair at my Gilbert home. From quote to finish Raul Chacon was knowledgeable and up front about the work they could do. From that point, I knew I did not have to call any other yard service or irrigation company. He showed up early the day he provided the quote, and his crew also showed up early the day of service. They were professional and worked diligently the whole day. There were a couple of hiccups but not on their part but that of my irrigation control's head unit wiring and a relocated drip. They stayed on course of the project until they figured it out. My irrigation system is working properly now and I am very satisfied with their work. They also gave me a good deal according to my neighbor who works in construction. I will now contact them to schedule landscape maintenance asap. read more

ZERO STARS!!! WORST COMPANY. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. They did the clean up which costs $275, it was nice work. The crew was attentive to detail, that was in January. DOWNHILL FROM THERE! Unfortunately, 8 employees quit due to issues with management about 2 months ago. That's when everything changed. The new crew barely cleaned up. I was constantly having to point out stuff they had missed. They even stated to me at one point when I pointed out weeds that they don't pull weeds. What? I called the office to complain and they said it would be taken care of. But, then things got worse. Their crew chief Chucky, was so rude. I mentioned to him again they needed to take care of weeds and he gave me such an attitude. I finally had to call Alex out to show him the problem. He said he talked to the crew chief and he was having personal problems. I'm a empathetic person but what does that have to do with it? I complained they were smoking in my front yard, weren't cleaning up between bushes and refused to pull weeds. Today was the final straw when one of there guys put his dirty boots in our pool. I kicked them out and called the office to complain. The manager made it seem like it was no big deal. I mentioned to her about the bad reviews on YELP lately and she didn't seem to care. She stated she would talk to the supervisor and call back. I already found another company. Really, no big deal? Good, FIRED! I'll give my money to a company that takes care of their customers! When they finally called back, of course they decided to waive today but no longer wanted to come back. Finally, we agree on something. read more

A representative from The Yard Experts came to my house on 9/2/14. I believe his name was Kyle, but I'm not sure, as he failed to leave a business card. He brought along another rep who he was training. We walked around the front and back yards of my house discussing various landscaping plans. The second man appeared to be taking notes of our discussion. I also inquired about regular yard maintenance for weed control and trimming of plants. Kyle(?) told me he would put together a plan and call me to discuss options and pricing. I asked again about the cost of a weed maintenance program and was told that the price would be in the quote. I waited 3 days and had not heard from them. I called their office on Friday, 9/5 during business hours and got a recording. I told them I was still waiting to hear from them and again left my phone number. It has now been 13 days and I haven't heard from them. In the meantime, I hired another landscaper who gave me a plan and completed my yard the same day at a very reasonable price. I don't know the reason The Yard Experts blew me off, but, based on my limited experience with them I definitely WOULD NOT recommend their services. The only positive comment I have is that the lady who answers the phone has a very pleasant speaking. voice. read more

The Yard Experts was one of six companies that provided us with a bid to landscape our backyard that included installing 630 sq ft of stonelock pavers. They were not the lowest and not the highest bid. We chose the company primarily due to the professional manner, responsiveness, patience, and amiable personality showed by Raul and of course their positive reviews on BBB and AROC. Before accepting the bid, we asked a lot of questions about materials and tasks and the responses were always prompt and with detail. The backyard project was completed on time and as specified. Given that positive experience, we hired them again to increase the height of our block wall in the backyard. Again, they did not disappoint.
