Instead of providing the requested policy language, I was told that a separate detailed policy was not required and that the general rule applied. If a coworking space is going to issue warnings or threaten to terminate a member's access, the standards being enforced should be clearly defined and available in writing. Additionally, when a space advertises 24/7 access, using the amount of time a member spends in the workspace as a point of concern creates confusion unless there are clearly stated limits or guidelines. The back-and-forth communication took significant time away from the purpose of having a workspace. I ultimately decided the membership was not the right fit for my needs and canceled. I would expect a professional coworking space to provide clear policies, transparent communication, and consistent expectations for its members.

We finally had to move out when our team outgrew their largest office. It is conveniently located near all of the major train lines and PATH and the amenities are great; hip cafe, common areas for breakout meetings and kitchens on every floor. They also held happy hours and other festive events where we could mingle with the other tenants. We held numerous clients meetings and offsites in their conference rooms and all of our service requests were all taken care of quickly. Every single member of the staff; from the mail room and reception to facilities, IT, cafe and management, all went above and beyond to make our lives easier. We will miss the fun, upbeat environment and true professionalism of their team!

The interior is spacious and decorated with a lush array of plants, which helps get the creative juices flowing. Unlimited coffee and tea is also a great perk. Lots of food options nearby too. It would definitely be illegal if this were residential rent, but because it's commercial, I'm not sure.

I have multiple clients in and out of my studio on a daily basis and the first thing that every new customer says is "this building is amazing!" While there are more affordable studio buildings in Brooklyn, Java Studios has a more professional feel and heat/AC, electricity and WiFi are all included in the price. So don't be fooled when looking at the price of other spaces as I have found that the price listed is not including any amenities and often ends up being several hundred more in addition to the listed price. Considering the level of attention and care that the management are able to offer, plus no hassle/no drama when ever I need anything from them and the fact that all amenities are included, not to mention 3 blocks from the G Train- the cost of renting a studio here is more than reasonable. I see that Java Studios has some negative reviews but as we all know, one or two people's opinion can sometimes say more about them than it does about the business... I treat people with understanding and respect and I have received nothing but understanding and respect back from everyone here at Java Studios. I carry myself and deal with people in a professional manner and I only work with other people who are able to function at a high level of professionalism such as the people who run Java Studios. Carolina even changed my reservation to a room that was a better fit for my needs after explaining the call to her and didn't charge me the extra. I arrived early the day of my reservation and just planned on hanging out in the lobby area but was able to access the room early free of charge. I even noticed the small details like 3 different microwaves to accommodate for kosher and non kosher diets. I would go back again if ever there is a need!
