When a public visitor asked him what he was looking at, he made several rude remarks and refused to show others. I talked to some other guides and they were very kind, but Jamie needs to recognize that Yellowstone is a public park and he doesn't own any of the viewing spots. I would never support a company with employees as rude as Jamie. Also, this company doesn't actually "track" wolves. They drive to parking spots and set up spotting scopes to view them from very far away. You can easily do the same thing on your own; just bring/rent binoculars and stop wherever you see groups of other people looking. Here are some pictures I took on my own without the guides. Just get to Lamar Valley at sunrise and wildlife is everywhere! It's honestly more fun to talk to other guests and spot animals together instead of paying for a rude guide to show you and hide it from others.

While this is experience is not inside the park, it is worth every penny. As we were waiting for the remaining guests who had signed up, we had the opportunity to get to know a few of the guides. Evan, Trent, Jada, and Cheyara ( I probably mispelled) were the guides for our group and all are great! The guides were very good at orienting us on safety protocols along with their great sense of humor. We did the two hour rafting trip and would like to do a longer one if we get the chance!

Our bachelorette crew of eight women showed up ready to float -- Spencer, our fearless captain, quickly informed us this was more "adventure" than "lazy river." Not only did Spencer make sure we paddled for our lives, he also had us carrying rafts up and down hills like we were training for the Raft Olympics. And when we weren't paddling or hauling, he was pulling double duty as a certified (in our minds) bird-watcher -- confidently identifying every feathered creature we saw, real or imagined. The views were gorgeous, the water was refreshing (read: freezing), and Spencer's calm, steady presence (even with eight women in one raft) made the trip unforgettable. We're pretty sure he secretly loved our vibes and the top-tier entertainment we provided along the way. 10/10 would raft again... after leg day, arm day, and maybe some cardio. Thanks for the memories, Spencer! We would definitely recommend booking your trip with him. WOOF WOOF BARK BARK

We went on a private tour today in Yellowstone with a guide by the name of Mike Lagodny,…read moreOwner/Operator of Montana Yellowstone Tours. Mike was spectacular. We started off with our first stop after less than 10 minutes in a very nice and immaculate Suburban, where Mike showed us a momma owl and her baby. His equipment is such that one can see as if the wildlife are five to ten feet away. I have poor eyesight, but I was able to see everything today with unbelievable clarity -- thanks to Mike's equipment. Within 15 minutes of being inside the park, we next saw an adult grizzly bear up close from the vehicle as we parked on the side of the road (up close, but actually 100 feet away). And it was not 5-10 minutes later that we saw 6-8 adult bison and 5-7 baby bison. We stayed and watched these for over 30 minutes as Mike felt like they would come closer to us. He was spot on as they got within 50 feet of our Suburban. Mike had hot chocolate, coffee, pastries, banana nut bread -- he was the host of all hosts. His uncanny ability to provide exactly what we wanted was second to none. Our most favorite stop was an area with a wolf den, and Mike quickly spotted the mother wolf along with a bear and a bald eagle nearby. After watching the mother wolf lay down for over 40 minutes, Mike suggested we stay patient as he thought there was a great chance the momma wolf might bring her new born pups out ... Sure enough, after being extra patient, and with a bear and elk walking near the mother wolf, she stood up and pulled her small babies out of the den. We saw at least two babies -- possibly three. We were over one mile away, but again, with Mikes high powered equipment it looked as if they were inside of 50 yards from us. We can't express enough just how good of a guide Mike is. He had sandwiches and drinks for us as well. He is a very safe driver and was very gentle with my wife Dana, who had been sick the past three days. Dana and I highly recommend Mike to all who want to explore Yellowstone and see wildlife and sights that must not be missed ... We plan on bringing our grandchildren next time to introduce them to the wonders of Yellowstone. Thanks for everything, Mike! Sincerely, Jim and Dana S.
