She is very passionate and knowledgeable about Yellowstone and the wildlife that live there. She took us to a carcass that allowed us to see Wolves, Coyotes, Grizzly Bears, Pronghorn and more. She explained their interactions between the various animals and provided details beyond what we were observing. She had a scope with a camera that made it easy to really view the animals. She connected with another tour guide to share a lesson on scat, tracks and more. Katelyn would take the time to direct other tourist on where to look. She is exceptional at explaining where to focus to view wildlife with binoculars and cameras. When we asked Katelyn about the best routes to view other areas and must see/do of Yellowstone, she gave us wonderful directions and options. Including which turn offs and hikes that were appropriate for our skill level. We would recommend Katelyn, of Silver Gate Guides and Silver Gate Lodge for your next trip to Yellowstone. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the area and also had an unbelievable ability to spot wildlife along the trail. The views were gorgeous the entire ride. The horses were wonderful, healthy, well cared for, and matched thoughtfully to each rider's comfort and experience level. The whole team created such a welcoming and safe environment. Although you have to call to make the reservations, don't let it scare you to speak to an actual person... BOOK IT! Stayed at Yellowstone Park Hotel and they picked us up, at the time window they provided for us. Chris met us in the lobby and off we went in a very spacious "monster truck". Absolutely loved that he gave us a run down on what was coming, what to look out for, and there are bathroom stops! Very knowledgeable on the National Park. My husband and I really enjoyed learning new things reference the park and history of Montana. We did the tour and brought our toddler(3) with us and did great. Many of the walks are friendly and very worth it. I appreciated that Chris shared where the best spot to sit and see Old Faithful do its thing. Great spots for photos and phenomenal views you just don't care for your phone. Will be coming back again and booking Yellowstone Expeditions.

We hit all the stops we wanted, and many that we knew nothing about! We didn't have to worry about finding parking spots and could roll right into viewing areas. Whenever parking was available, our guide would come along with us and explain things in greater detail. It was awesome! We also got tips for other things in the park and where we should head next, where we should eat, etc. Thanks for an amazing day!

"Glamping" is a great way to describe this place. The tents were very clean, the beds we're extremely comfortable, the staff was warm and welcoming, the grill/fire pits were readily available and easy to use. Not to mention it was very close to great places to eat, lakes to fish, hiking trails, and easy access to Yellowstone National Park. The only "complaint" I would say, would be the bathrooms. Although the staff did a great job at making sure they were cleaned multiple times a day... some other guests not being aware it was a shared bathroom and left them a mess. I was glad I read through the reviews and came overly prepared with an extra comforter, multiple towels, firewood and food. Highly highly recommend.

While the…read moreperson with whom I spoke was very nice, it was ridiculous that they would not refund anything until I agreed to speak with them.They ultimately refunded the price of the heater rental for both nights (what I had requested) and gave me 10% off for future reservations made within the next year. Issue resolved: but I am still never going back. This was a horrible experience. We love glamping and we're very disappointed. The front of our tent was all wet from water, and we didn't notice until after staff had left that one of the beds was wet as well. We paid $22 a night for heaters. They gave us a small propane space heater, the size that's meant to be put under a desk, with tanks that lasted 3 1/2 to 4 hours. It was explained to me after the fact that I was given two tanks, one for each night. Are they out of their minds? When I called to complain, the person just kept trying to pacify me and ask what message I wanted to give to the manager. Nothing was resolved. I had to point the heater at my daughter because it was only gonna work for one of us and she needed to be warm. I also had to wake up at one in the morning to change the propane when it ran out. Also, all their bathroom stalls were at the front of the camp. There was no porta potty at anywhere else, which was ridiculous, especially in the rain. There was no lantern in my room, although they did give me portable lanterns to compensate. Finally, from what I saw there were four shared fire pits again at the front of the camp. Every other side, I've been to had a fire pit in front of each tent for you to do yourself. I will never go back to this place. Burn it down.

We picked up the free audio tour pamphlet and spent some time walking around learning about the town, the history of the area, and even the local fire information. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the visitor center itself has a nice little gift shop feel to it. Don't forget to sign in when you walk in -- I'm guessing it helps support keeping the visitor center running. Definitely worth stopping by if you're passing through!

She did tell us about all the bears that have been out and about coming out of hibernation (we were here early May 2024) but alas it is just luck of the draw! (We did end up seeing mama bear and cubs later in our visit!) anyways stop in and say hi to these nice people!
