We were a group of four photographers who thoroughly enjoyed their trip. Kate puts a lot of effort into going above and beyond to help provide the best experience. Before our tour started, we were in touch regarding our expectations from the tour, any customizations to how the tour was planned, our meals, do we want coffee or tea. It showed how much planning Kate does to ensure a good Yellowstone experience. If you are going to Yellowstone, Kate is "the" person to book a trip with. We had the choice of having pickup at our condo in Big Sky or meeting at the storefront on Highway 191. We chose to meet at the store to maximize our 10 tour time which starts end ends when the driver leaves the parking lot. Check in was simple. Each participant had to sign a waiver and then we were off. The Sprinter van was clean and very spacious with seating for 10 although we had a private tour for 4. Pricing for private tours are flat rate and we chose the 1-5 participants. Our tour guide, Mat, was amazing. He kept us entertained on the way to the park with stories and factoids. In addition to showing us the "usual suspects," took us to places that are not listed in the guidebooks. He varied the route a bit at times to accommodate the geyser schedules and spend as little time as possible waiting for eruptions. All the time, he was filling our heads with area info. He was terrific at spotting wildlife for us as well. When we found ourselves with a little extra time at the end our our tour. He stopped at two additional sites that people normally drive right by. We were thrilled with his service. While this tour does not supply food, they have a cooler on board with plenty of ice, soft drinks, bottled water and space for the food that we brought. We packed a lunch and Mat found us a table at the edge of Yellowstone Lake were we stopped and ate on a checkerboard tablecloth - courtesy of Mat. If we were to come back, we would absolutely arrange for the Upper Loop tour with this company and possibly even a fly-fishing trip. Thanks to Mat and YTC for a great day.

Since our time was limited and the park so large we decided to hire a tour guide for one day. Upon researching the options I discovered there are a lot of ways to tour Yellowstone, however having the disability of chemical sensitivity I found it challenging to choose one. Ultimately after many phone conversations I talked with J.D. Bingham at Yellowstone Touring Company/Wild Trout Outfitters. Based on our telephone conversation I was confident that J.D. understood my special needs and would be able to accommodate our party of nine persons, which included children and elderly. On the day of the tour our guide Paul picked us up at or rental house in Big Sky right on schedule. That was no small feat in itself as the house was VERY out of the way on the side of a mountain at 8200 feet. The vehicle was clean, spacious and comfortable for all of us. More importantly, per my request for my chemical sensitivity, both Paul and the vehicle were completely fragrance free. Paul asked us questions about what we were looking to get out of the tour, and then designed our day around our specific requests. It could not have been any better. He was knowledgeable not only about Yellowstone but about where we were staying in Big Sky. He was patient with both the children and the elderly. He is an excellent driver and we all felt quite safe in his hands the whole time. The sights that he chose for us were perfect. He knew everything from which rest rooms were most likely to be cleanest, (very important for the ladies), to where to find the bison. All in all, I cannot say enough about our tour with Paul from Yellowstone Touring Company. I would do it again in a heartbeat, and recommend him to anyone. Also after our interactions with J.D., I would also imagine his fishing guides from Wild Trout Outfitters to be as special and would have tried that also if we'd had more time.

Secondly, and most importantly, we were blessed with PRESTON as our guide. He's living the life on the Yellowstone in summer and winters on the slopes of Aspen. He's putting a pause on that Auburn degree to live life to its fullest. We were so lucky to have just our family in the boat and we had a great time spotting bald eagles, osprey, Jesus ducks, and of course, the rare two gold eagles!!! Lastly, don't waste your time on the 8 mile. It's only a couple more bucks and a couple more hours--you gotta do the full day. Can't wait to come back and do it again.

Bright and early, but worth it. We communicated with Audra way in advance and shared our desire to do a 1/2 day tour. We didn't have a long stay and wanted to maximize our visit to Yellowstone. She customized our trip exactly the way we wanted. Typically, the tours start very early (5-6a) but since we were coming from Big Sky, we could only meet our tour guide, Spencer, at 7a. It was the most amazing tour. Spencer took us to Slough Creek to see if we could spot wolves. We set up shop, had our binoculars and sure enough after 30 minutes, an entire den of wolves and their pups came out! We then moved over to another spot and witnessed coyotes defending their kill with a lone wolf. It was a sight. Then we saw a herd of bison, and a solo bison crossing the bridge. We saw red tail hawks, a red fox and white mountain. All slights were captured on video by our fabulous expert tour guide, Spencer. The great thing about Yellowstone is there are so many wonderful options. You can white water raft, hike, zip line, e-bike tours, etc... We booked them all! Sadly, we chose Big Sky E-bike tours. The tour started off great. The owner, Jay was our guide. About halfway into the tour, the it starts. Jay brings up Trump and how attending "Trump's school" was the thing he's most proud of. It was like he needed us to know he was MAGA. Jay followed up at the next stop by telling my family how he and everyone hates Californians because they drive up the home prices. Why did Jay feel compelled to say these things? For the record, I am originally Texas, have lived in Californian for 20 years, don't own or plan on buying property in Montana, and was visiting as a tourist pumping my tourist dollars into the local community. It's a free country. Jay can run his business anyway he likes. So, if he doesn't want to serve people from California and feels compelled to profess his love for Trump, that's cool. I wish he had posted that information on his website and not waited until we were in the middle of a 4 hour tour. I would have respected his honesty and simply booked another company. I don't think this would be bad business for Jay. Marketing exclusively to the MAGA community would probably be great business. Anyway, enjoy your time in Montana. It's truly a magical place and most of the people are absolutely wonderful!

Not what we expected on the Bike and Soak Tour. This tour does not go into the park. You ride along…read morea fire service road with a washboard surface for a lot of the ride on a very heavy eBike with a back break that is very difficult to squeeze. Our guide was full of inaccurate information about the wildlife. If not for my husband, she'd have passed up the herd of elk. The tour ended at a hot springs with a lot of orange algae on the surface of the pool and black mold around the edges. Regardless of our massive disappointment, we made the best of it being in beautiful Montana. Lunch was a pleasant surprise, very tasty. Just not what we expected based on their website and definitely not worth $200.
