This is a great place to workout. Unfortunately they have one rude staff who he has been like that…read morefor years and nobody took care of that issue. He is a short guy walks crukard and wears glasses.

Talk about a diamond in the rough. Once again, on another business trip for the Army, I called…read morearound to all the local gyms in Tupelo. No one appeared to offer a guest pass to their gym at a reasonable price. I call Snap gym expecting the same great deal like in Meridian. WRONG. He wanted to charge for the pass key and $5 a day for each visit. $70 is a lot for 6 days. No, not doing it. I missed a day working out since no one had a reasonable offer. On the first day of my inspection, the receptionist at the unit call NMMC Wellness Center and asked for a deal to workout for a few days. Thank you ma'am. Its a great place. If I lived there, I would definitely be a member. Once again, lots of cardio machines e.g. Cybex Arc Trainers, Pecor ellipticals, and treadmills. Also, there is an indoor track and outdoor track as well. Lots of weights and cybex machines. I really enjoyed this place. There is also a 4 lane indoor pool with a jaccuzzi too. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, once after a workout, I found the WiFi connection on my iPod and was able to check my work email. This was the best experience on this trip. Recommend the Wellness Center for anyone serious about working out. Check it out.

Let me start by saying that I've only been to a yoga class a handful of times in my life. My first…read morereaction when I walked into Bliss Yoga was that it smelled wonderful and and the atmosphere was very serene. I love that it is in an old building downtown, with original architectural features. The cost per class is $10, which isn't so bad. I went with a group and the instructor scaled the class based on the fact that only a couple of our group members had ever done Yoga before. It was a difficult class, but for the most part, it had movements that everyone could do or try to do. It was probably one of the most traditional yoga classes I've ever been to--the instructor really incorporated all of the yoga-specific language, the focus on breathing, and at the end of the class when we all had our eyes closed, she came around and put scented "face pillows" on us and whispered something Yoga-ish! :)

My husband and I were visiting a close friend in Columbus and she teaches at Bliss so we decided to…read moretake a class. The space is inviting, beautiful and non pretenious. The class costs are reasonable and there is a fun little area where you can shop. I hadnt done yoga for a while (a looong while) and wasnt sure what I could do, but was reassured that I could just do what felt good and I didnt have to over due it. I honestly felt like the teacher read where I was at and it was a perfect class. Id recommend Bliss and we will go back the next time we visit.
