The overall atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming from the moment you walk in. There are three treadmills, one elliptical, and on stationary bike for cardio - you can come by any time the studio is open and use the equipment. Three small training rooms are available for individual training, as well as a larger room for various classes (yoga, zumba,...) The trainers all appear friendly and knowledgeable - I have first hand experience with my own trainer as well as the owner, Terri, of both their knowledge, support of their clients achieving their personal goals, and caring for them as people (and not just clients). It all makes for an experience where I *want* to work-out (as opposed to "should" or "have to").

I can say with complete certainty that I was wrong! My first session was with Jonathan and I have gone every day since. The environment is so much fun and everyone there from the employees to the patrons are so nice. It feels like a close community and going is the best part of my day. I'm not the biggest on cardio but this is actually really fun and I encourage everyone I know to use the free first sessions to give it a try.

This is hands down the best karate business in the Brazos valley! I was a little worried before…read morecoming here because my two boys are shy and reserved. They showed almost no interest in trying something new. So, yes, I had to kind of push them (gently) to give it a try. They have done other athletic things and grew to not enjoy them and I don't want them to come home every day and play videogames. The first class is a trial run and your kid can go without a uniform. They also have a starter pack where you can save a little money if everyone can commit. We've now been going for over a year (nearing 2 actually) and we're still going strong. Yes, my boys might say they don't want to go sometimes, but we have a lot more positive days than negative. They now are in leadership as well, and this gets them on a path to rank up faster while also finding more opportunities to lead and learn. What I enjoy watching the most is how they've improved SO MUCH with sparring. They don't hesitate anymore and just go at their opponent, or play defense when the time is right. It's truly a wonderful program that is essential for all kids, especially with the distractions we have today. ATA will teach them about respect, honor, integrity, and selflessness that will carry on into adulthood. We've also gotten to know the Palmisano's quite a bit and they are great people. They are always willing to talk and listen, all while they've got a business to run. They've done this for many years and have interesting stories. I hope to be here in another year and beyond when my kids should be black belts. Now if we could just convince them to try a tournament. But hey, baby steps!
