Okay so let me tell you a little story....one day I got shipped off to College Station Texas for almost a month for work. In the summer. Without my family. 3.5 weeks alone? What the heck was I going to do with all my free time? So at home I try to squeeze in a Bikram class once maybe twice a week. Its the ONLY yoga I have ever enjoyed. So back to summer 2019. I check Yelp and it says YogaPod in College Station has a PodHOT class.....soooo why not give it a shot? Nothing to lose right? I go in. Did I mention these people are ridiculously friendly? They are. Its unnerving for this gal from the MidAtlantic area. But I go in. I buy a package. I have a lot of free time. I take a PodHOT class, its my Bikram poses and hot - mind you its not as regimented as Bikram is but Im still getting in my time in the hot room. So then I think well why not try some of these other classes...they sound interesting enough. So I do. Some days I take 2 classes. Or 3. Once I took 4. Its where I spent my time in College Station when I wasn't working. PodBARRE or PodFIT or Yin or Restorative or Sunrise. It doesnt matter which I took. I loved EVERY single one of them. Kelli. Kate. Regina. Michelle. Carla. The teachers are phenomenal I dont live in College Station but if I did I would be a regular. It's been such a long time that I wrote a review about this place, I think it's high time I updated the review. This yoga studio is definitely the best. As soon as you sign up, I felt welcomed with such open arms this really felt like a home away home. It's a large studio and extremely relaxing. I love the variety of classes and their amazing instructors as well. Yes, not all of them are my cup of tea. But I do like mixing up their workouts to try out different classes. One of my favorites by far is the Ashtanga class by Prescott. He is perhaps one of the most enthusiastic, laid back, and encouraging instructors I have met. His morning Ashtanga classes are amazing - probably better than waking up to coffee. Each class in energizing, rejuvenating, and really helps you focus. The other class I really appreciate is Pod Restore by Kristi. It's the perfect start to every weekend. The classes are Friday at 4 and really are the perfect excuse to start your weekend a couple of hours early. All in all, great spot when you need to relax. Be sure to try out as many classes you can. I only wanted to update my review for Yogapod here! Since the pandemic began Yogapod has been doing their best to serve the yoga community. There are GREAT Zoom classes with awesome instructors. They also have in person classes but since we are older we are staying with Zoom for now. The instructors take extra care to be sure you are included in the experience. I loved going in to Yogapod with their inviting atmosphere, but I so very much appreciate being able to continue classes via Zoom during this pandemic. Thank you Yogapod! read more

I'm a big dude. Really big. I don't need any more muscles, strength, or size. I need flexibility, improved range of motion, and a great workout that's different than what I'm used to. Enter yoga pod. GREAT staff, engaging classes for all levels (even an enormous gent such as myself), and such a pleasant, friendly ambiance. I've never left a class not smiling. They give you a free week of unlimited classes to try out, and I recommend you do exactly that. There is such a variety of classes, for all levels. Everything from yoga basics for first timers and older yogis to intermediate and advanced hot hatha. There are classes at all times of the day, from 6am to 9pm, which fits my schedule well since my days never look the same. The only knocks I have are that it IS a bit pricy ($85/month unlimited), but it's definitely worth the money for me, and they don't offer any classes from like 2-4 PM during the week. This is the only actual yoga STUDIO in College Station. They've got a variety of teachers, as well, and they actually take the time to meet new people and remember them. This is my happy place and I look forward to my evening classes all day. Give them a try. I mean hell, if I can do it, you can do it. No seriously, if a 6' 2", 285 lb dude can get in there and practice, so can anyone! See you in class. read more

This place is really good! The staff is so nice. They have affordable prices and really work with you which makes it easy since I travel a lot. They have a wide range of classes, some relaxing and some SUPER hard even for a young athlete like myself. Also not as uppity as some other studios you may find which I find refreshing and approachable. read more

I moved to the BCS area a year ago, and desperatly searched for a yoga studio. I quickly learned this area was lacking in a full yoga studio experience. This studio will offer over 17 classes a day, 7 days a week and have the first real hot yoga studio in town. It's great for all levels and expreiences. Love this place, love the experienced instructors, love yoga. So why the 2 star rating? Because out of nowhere and quite recently, the experienced teachers who were the main draw for this place, especially the exceptional Carla, are disappearing from the scheduling. The schedules are being populated by random newbies who seem to have no idea about what yoga actually means, why counter-poses are important to reduce the chance of injury, and why they can't just wing it during sessions without damaging the flow. If they continue to replace the talented instructors, I am taking my business elsewhere. read more

I signed up early for the prema membership before the studio opened, shortly after they opened they cancelled all the classes that I was interested in without warning. I enjoyed the classes for the first month. I talked to the owner and the manager in june and july and he would not refund my money but did cancel my membership . As a business owner myself I believe that this is bad business practice. I will gladly change my review if he decides to give me a refund. read more

Moving to College Station, away from a yoga studio I loved, I was fearful I'd not be satisfied. My fears were erased. The people at Yoga Pod have been extremely friendly, but not pushy. Helpful on every level, and very calming about the transition to a new studio. I love the variety of the classes and the teachers really know what they're doing and genuinely seem to love yoga and pay attention to the entire class. The HOT classes are amazing. The rooms are very clean. The floors are great for yoga There are mirrors--which I wasn't used to, but are kind of cool I guess. I love their mindset on inversions--They encourage you to try, but not to become fixated on it. No worries if it doesn't happen the first time (or first one hundred..) but find the fun in it, and just see and enjoy how far you've come. This place makes me want to go back again and again. This review is about 6 months overdue . I came here never having tried yoga before ,not knowing what to expect, and extremely nervous that my fat ass would completely fail haha. My instructor was Lorelei Hubbard, extremely patient , understanding and a true professional. I've moved away but if I'm ever in College Station again I will absolutely be back here. Yoga Pod College Station is truly a great place to practice. They offer several classes at many times to accommodate my busy schedule. The studio is very clean and well kept. The vibe is very relaxed and welcoming to newcomers, but as my practice has developed I have also found this to be a great place to further improve my technique and strengthen my practice. I was charged for an extra month after I canceled my membership because there was a technical issue with their online cancellation form and my request did not go through. I called to ask for a refund and talked to the manager. She was unbelievably rude and disrespectful. From the moment I spoke to her, I knew she is not professional enough to refund me. I was just trying to explain to her the technical issue with their website, so they can fix it and others won't run into the same problem. Bus she did not even care enough to listen to me and was just waiting for me to hang up. You would not expect such behavior from a manager, especially in a yoga institute. read more

This studio started as my favorite yoga studio of all time and coming from Austin that says a lot. Following this, I started having MULTIPLE issues with the way their payment system works. The staff literally has no idea what is going on or the manager has horrible communication skills with her employees. Following up with this, I canceled my membership a month ago through the phone a month ago since I couldn't access the cancellation form online. My roommate did the same thing and had absolutely no problem. Then I started receiving emails saying my payment wasn't going through, DUH it wasn't going through I canceled because it's quite pricey for a college student. I then had to pay rent and my mom transferred the part of my loans that are used to pay for my housing which then yoga pod went and took their membership fee from. I need that money. A day after they took the money, they called saying the payment wasn't going through, IT HAD. So I called to see why this was happening to which the manager is speaking to me in a rude and belittling tone and saying that what I was saying was wrong because they don't cancel on the phone. MY ROOMMATE CANCELLED ON THE PHONE AND HAD NO ISSUE. Bottom line do not go to this place. They do not listen to their customers nor do they care about them. All they're in it for is the money. They are SUPER pushy. Not a good place to go to relax thats for sure. Sad that what used to be my favorite studio has turned to one that I have to write bad yelp reviews for. read more

I am new to Yoga - but am now hooked permanently. Wendy Workman's class on MWF at 6am - Sunrise Yoga - fits my busy schedule perfectly and Wendy is simply awesome! I like the broad range of classes and instructors. I have found a niche so I'm slow to explore new classes and different instructors. I appreciate the instructors repeating that we need to respect our own bodies and what we can do while the rest of the class may appear more advanced. The facilities are very nice and the staff are friendly. I prefer the no talking policy and respecting meditation of others in the classroom before the class starts (except in Pod Gentle where I think the others prefer conversation to better know each other). I like announcements before class since I am curious about the teacher class (not that I want to teach but because I want to know in depth information about yoga). read more
