I like that they have a ski erg machine that's comparable to that used at the event. My favorite Y is the Weinberg location, and that one is different. They also have a rope, which is useful for training the shoulders/arms. It's just in an awkward place. When the roped is pulled out to full lenght for use I felt like I was in the way. I tried two different angles and both were the same. Oh well. Sorry, not sorry. It's a big Y! They've got several sections of weights, machines, cycling rooms and the..... I guess I'll call it, Crossfit room (which is small and a bit awkward, but it works). They have weighted bags for the lunges up to 40lbs. They also have plenty of (matching) kettlebells. AND, they have weighted balls for the ball toss. The only thing missing is the sled. You can go to the Weinberg Y for that. I like this Y as well. There's plenty of room, which is good because it's much more crowded (even mid-day) than my other Y's. I was also glad to see the staff cleaning the weight rack. I mean, not just wiping it down. They removed the weights, wiped down the rack where the weights were sitting, and place the weights back. They were also removing the scuffs from the wall with the magic eraser. No wonder it looks so clean. And of course I can always count on the fireplace to chill at after my workout. Come check it out.

On a BCPS delayed start day, the facility did not clearly communicate any adjusted Stay and Play hours. The posted signage did not reflect the delayed schedule, and while staff observed me arriving with my child, this information was not proactively shared. I only learned of the adjusted hours after specifically asking. Clear and visible communication--especially on delayed start days--would help prevent confusion for families and improve the overall member experience. I appreciate your attention to this matter and hope it can be considered for future operations.

CrossFit Catonsville is very close to home, they have a great class schedule (especially for a smaller gym), and kickboxing and yoga are included in their membership! Chris, the owner and head coach, is awesome; I find that his style of coaching is very focused on technique and he has lots of suggestions on how to scale WODs with the goal of getting stronger, not just finishing a workout. I've already PR'd on several lifts in the past month at CFC. Eric and Susan are also fantastic coaches, and I've really benefitted from some of the pointers and suggestions they have made. As anyone who does CrossFit will tell you, the community aspect is what keeps folks coming back for more. The people here are AMAZING and friendly, and I have felt so welcome from the beginning. This is a great box for people who have been doing CrossFit for a while, and an excellent box for beginners. The prices are really fair, and, as previously mentioned, you have a few other options for how to get a good workout in with kickboxing and yoga!

Through competent trainers, a motivating program, and a group of awesome people (at all fitness levels) I have seen major gains. I feel well supported at Wonderfly and know that if I have a question the resources are there. This is a judgement free zone of positive, goal oriented individuals. Traditional gym never worked for me. I would spend more time figuring out my playlist than actually exercising. Here I show up ready to work and the trainers have a dummy proof workout lined up. Leaves little room for excuses. I definitely recommend if you want fitness direction and a supportive community.

I did continue exercises I learned there to keep strengthening my back though. I love the staff their, they are friendly, courteous and they truly care. Anyone who knows the staff and the Dr there knows their interest is only in making the patient well. I am currently seeing him again (3 years later for first time) because of another auto collision. I have faith that within a short time he will have me up and going stronger than ever. By the way, my exercises didn't start till 3rd visit, but mainly because alignment issues had to be corrected prior to beginning my physical therapy parts of my sessions. Trust this doctor. He will get you well where you don't have to come back.

It's very clear how much the staff knows, and how deeply they care about every single dog that walks through their doors. Over the past few months, this is the fourth daycare we've tried for our dog. The first one we chose to leave. The next two either wouldn't accept her or ultimately asked her not to return. Our dog is an over 80-lb American Bully, and she truly doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body. We started daycare and boarding when she was about 8 months old. At nearly 50 lbs already, she was placed with the large dogs. In this large group play, the challenge wasn't aggression; it was that she was young, playful, and didn't always understand when another dog didn't want to engage. Two facilities told us they couldn't keep her in group play because other dogs would become reactive when she missed social cues and it wasn't safe for them or the dogs. After the second rejection, we reached out to friends and were highly encouraged to try Pet-U-Cation. We were told upfront that the training and care are exceptional, but as a small business with limited overhead and office staff, communication can sometimes require patience (which has also been our experience). Her evaluation went great. After two day-training sessions, she became a regular at daycare, and she absolutely loves it! The growth we've seen in her socialization and ability to read other dogs has been incredible. It's also reinforced the training we're doing at home and helping her overall learning and development (consistency really is key). We love that there is no more coming home from daycare with newly acquired bad habits.

Ali is like a DOG GURU when it comes to reading the dog's personality and needs of how to perform the way we needed her to and in showing us the proper ways to handle her. Consistency was a major rule with her and us, Practice, Practice, Practice. Ali was a wealth of information to all of our questions from grooming tips including clipping her nails to what foods would be best for her. Treats, treats, treats were also the ticket to Lacy's performance and that works like charm. He vowed that he would be available for any future questions or concerns we might have for the lifetime of her life.
