I was referred to the agency for my daughter. I met with someone had a zoom interview with her and my daughter. They offered her representation immediately and it all went so fast that we had to make a decision asap. That should have been my first red flag. Then it was mandatory we get her headshots asap with us paying for this. They had a photographer chosen already. I loved the photographer. He was great. The agency called us via zoom to choose her head shots and that was really the last interaction with the company. They send you emails weekly never heard back from one. They promised there'd be Atleast once a year runway but that never happened. I would steer clear of this agency. Seems the only thing they do is take your money and run with it. read more

The most expensive pictures I've ever taken, not one meet and greet of the talent. There's no workshops, no activities absolutely no collaboration or development of the talents. DON'T DO IT! I was promised 3 to 4 gigs for ROI. Needless to say 13yo didn't receive one phone call! Talent was never explored. It was wonderful 365 days of pure silence. The only opportunity that was received was for IMBD credits. And they didn't even provide a time to arrive at the event. I never met anyone on staff; I feel like they should have at least given me a tour of their location and introduced me to their staff and agents, but that never happened.. So to pay another $500 bucks for a 10min shoot and for information on website to be posted wrong and never got a single booking it's not for us. This will be long but I have the information to back my statements. However I'll give you the basics first for people who want the condensed version, company is atrocious, unprofessional and expensive for no results for *many of their clients. (Results obviously vary I'm sure they have some people actually doing things) Our daughter wanted to try modeling, it's not our thing but we were supportive of her dreams. First we checked google, and it seemed ok lined up an. Appointment and wen it it seemed great! We waited for the signing date and drove nearly 100 miles round trip for them to not be there, or even eventually show up. After an hour of waiting we left. Social media was next we asked people with experience with them how it was. We reached out to friends that also are "models" and friends who's kids are "models" and it was all the same story. Hundreds of dollars and nothing in return but a poorly maintained web site. No jobs, instead they got snarky comments about how their head shots weren't good enough, they should have used "our photographer" (hundreds more). Ok sounds reasonable. Now things got a little shaky. I won't address the allegations because as far as I know there is no proof. That being said I'm not trying to discredit any alleged victims. Just do more reaearchI'm trying to be neutral and prevent facts. So I'll jump to what we experienced their lack of professionalism and things spiraled. Lots of research and communication was done and we decided not to go with them. So we sent a professional thanking them but choosing not to go somewhere else. Then we got a snarky email back, I was blown away the biggest travesty is that this human being called Red Robin gourmet! Unbelievable I will not personally attack anyone but come on Red Robin gourmet? Ugh not even close. I do believe they are the Red Robin of modeling, I'm sure they have a couple "hits" but I believe in my kid and if she is going to do this she deserves a restaurant with at least a Michelin Star. APPLICANTS BEWARE, POTENTIAL SCAM: $450 Startup Fee and no work for at least two months. I signed up with The Young Agency on July 17th. Bernadette was eager to get me started and told me the faster I pay the $450 website fee the faster I can get work. She told me I would get 3-4 castings a day (potential jobs). Several days went by and I received nothing. I emailed Bernadette and Castings for help. I was told most of my photos were unacceptable, and that I need a head shot. I called my photographer spur of the moment so we could get this moving forward quickly. After two weeks I still received nothing. I sent a respectful email asking for attention to my account and why I was not getting any castings. I was told the team would review my email and get back to me in 4 days. I never received a response. All of my communication has been patient, respectful, and professional. After a few days I started receiving castings. I received 1, maybe 2 castings a day, and sometimes days without any. I applied to every casting I qualified for. In total, I have applied to 24 castings in 2 months. I have not had a single job or made a single dollar with The Young Agency. read more

Send your kid to gymnastics. Run like a chicken coop. Staff changes like my socks, no consistency and bookings are from a purchased outside feed primarily, not generated by the "Agency". If you're model material the agency will pay for headshots and training. read more

First they wanted my daughter to be a model wanted about $500.00 for head shots and modeling classes. I know they were B.S. and out of the clear blue I got a call from them to go to an audition for Disney & Nickelodeon at the Embassy Suites on Camelback & 26th St. Which of course that happens to be a scam as well they wanted $6,000 to get trained out in L.A for 6 days. We went in to visit the Young Agency to see if my son could model with this agency. He really likes modeling. He was twelve at the time. We didn't pay anything up front to the agency at all. Our son needed pictures so we gladly paid money to be given for pictures and headshots. Our son has been given opportunities that not many kids his age have gotten. He was in a huge fashion show and he went to Hollywood. He was given the opportunity in Hollywood to work among the best of the best. He was even called in to meet with an Agent in Hollywood. As long as my son feels the need to model then we will be thankful to The Young Agency for any opportunities that he was given. What he does with the opportunity is up to him. TERRIBLE RIP OFF!! They are a scam, I invested almost $1k in signing up and pictures with their photographer who crams you into a 30minute shoot with pictures that look cheap and unprofessional.. they promised a lot of work because of my age range and look, it's been over 6 months with not one single audition, I submitted for every single audition I qualified for but nothing!! I tried speaking to the casting director who insulted me and suggested I pay more money for new pics AND more category pages, she was soo rude, disrespectful and unprofessional I couldn't believe how she handled herself with her own clients. They are terrible!!! I even wonder if their listings for jobs are even real, it almost seems made up then when you question them they make you feel as if it's your fault. My child had an appointment with a group of other applicants, it was going well until they mentioned the price for pictures. $1200 but of course he was going to call me later and offer a discounted price for my son because they "were very interested". They knocked off $300, so it brought the price down to $900. I thought that was very expensive. After meeting with other agencies in town I learned that they only charged $200-$300 for pictures, and yes that included the makeup/hair stylist. I have worked with other agencies in the past in another part of the country and really enjoyed the opportunity to work with the Young Agency for a recent photo shoot at the Desert Diamond Casino. The staff was very professional and everything went off like clockwork. I want to start off saying that we recently attended a casting call at the Young Agency and the gentleman at the front office is AMAZING! So was the casting director. So it started off well, then it came to the one on one meeting with the talent coordinator, she was friendly but then my child and I felt like we were at a car dealership and they were trying to sell us a vehicle. The first few words out of her mouth was asking for over $545 for photos and fees for their agency. The coordinator explained a few times emphasizing how there photographers are the best of the best and from L.A. why does a talent agency have to focus so much on pitching the sales of their photography and classes than explaining what they do to partner with my child so both parties can be successful. I thought agencies want to sign models they know they can book, so they can make money that way, instead of through classes and photos. I'm sad because my child was very excited about this agency. As we left we were told they want to sign my child and they would email us the contract. Once we left I felt as thought they choose everyone that comes through their door to sign because they make money that way. So to sum it all up, I will still pending the decision to use this agency to sign my child but then the email came. No subject line, no personalization, it didn't address me or my child, our names were not mentioned anywhere in the email and the sender just said "appointments." What a way to top it off, couldn't even take the time to personalize an email asking to sign my child. It's unfortunate that they send email like scam mail, it even mentions the photo packages and classes again and that we need to come in this week Monday through Friday and it's already Wednesday. So I have two days to pay you $545 and sign the contract? Try to market yourselves better. Attention to detail and personalization goes along way. read more

Garbage . They run through this whole spiel how you shouldn't have to pay for anything unless you are signed, then after you are signed it's ok to pay for head shots. Guess what? The "talent director" lady gives every kid a star and sends them to the next office to run their credit card and get them setup for "professional photography" from their recommended photographers. No matter how your kid acts they will make it seem like your kid has talent. After waiting 3 hours to talk to the lady my 14 month old son was ready for a nap and horrible. She said they are looking for kids that are fussy and all over the place. "He's like a real kid" she says, "that's exactly what baby gap is looking for". The only photos from that were from another parent and that didn't include any of our child. I asked them what the percentage of kids they put to work in a month and year. She looked at me like i was crazy and said, mama we don't work like that. I just cannot give you that info. They have been amazing! I am so glad we signed on with this agency. Samantha is so fun, experienced, outgoing and helps my daughter feel comfortable enough to be herself. I find the other reviews really interesting. My daughter was booked into a job after a mere three months contact with The Young Agency. The workshop she took there on runway walking and posing is probably a good share of why she was booked and confident on stage when she auditioned. Given that she didn't have any experience, how would she have been competitive with the other girls auditioning if she didn't take that class?? We typically are not born knowing how to act, how to walk runway, how to pose on a professional level. Classes make sense to us! It has been a good experience for us so far. read more

We were discussing putting our daughter into this modeling agency. When we decided to go a different route after hearing information that made us hesitant, the $600 fee that was required (which is outrageous) I wrote in an email kindly and professionally explaining that this wasn't the right step for our family to take at this current point in time in our lives. The response that I received back was very petty and very unprofessional and honestly left me speechless. Not to mention when we originally came in for a signing appointment back in December the person who was supposed to show up never showed up to the appointment. They didn't answer the phone they didn't respond to emails and we waited over an hour for somebody to show up and nobody came. I paid 200 as a "down payment" to start runway "classes" out of 800. After I handed over the money and came back to start the classes, I was told I couldn't participate till the whole amount was paid. I kindly then asked back for my 200 because I would not be able to participate in anyway then because I'm a full time model. Mrs. Young told me there is no way they would give back my money even though they didn't not give me anything in return for my deposit (nothing on the receipt or any other paper work said the money was non refundable is services were not exchanged). She then told me to get out and good luck trying to take her to court because they have many attorneys to help her case. She was not polite nor business orentated at all. Vanessa the booking agent was extremely professional, punctual, and a divine pleasure to work with while assembling all the "business aspects" of the job. (I.e.paperwork) She was great! Always happy and a pleasure to work with.... Working on set with production was equally as professional. I definitely could appreciate it and respect it! This agency lacks integrity. I signed a one year contract with them sponsoring my child. I paid $550.00. When I inquired as to why my child was not being represented I was told that the head of the children's department no longer worked there. The company then attempted to half halfheartedly move forward with the contract. When asked for my money back I was ignored. What a scam this place is. I was interested in seeing if my 11 month old son should get into the talent biz and when I went to the agency I waited 3 hours through a casting call just to have them tell me that for $788 my son could be a star. $788 for professional headshots through their photographer (you couldn't go to anyone else) )After doing some research I learned this is a common scam. You should never have to use an Agents photographer and no agency requires professional headshots of children under 2. Two other agencies in AZ ended up offering my son a contract (Dani's Agency and Signature Models and Talent) without requiring $788 worth of headshots. I am currently signed with The Young Agency and I couldn't be happier. I have done three different events for them now and I am happy with all three. Keep in mind that you have to build a portfolio to be a great model those of you who have bad things to say because the job wasn't paid that's insane modeling isn't a get rich quick type of thing you have to work for it and you have to do unpaid jobs to get to the paid ones. read more

Total SCAM! We took our daughters and they absolutely fawned over them. Getting other people to come in and look at and talk to them. After they told us they wanted $1200 each to represent them and we said "No way, that's too much. " They agreed to do both girls for $600. The pictures they took were horrible. They do not have stylists or anyone to help guide you on what would make a successful photo. They are very rude once they get your money...incredibly nice until then. All of the "casting calls" they have sent out since July 2011 have been for teens and up until January 2012 and they have had a few for younger children. I would not waste my money again. Me and a friend went back to the agency to practice modeling for our NYC trip and the new teacher was Melissa. She's also the booking manager. She is a Freaking JOKE!!! She is so unknowable about the industry and so totally sucks at being a modeling teacher. She didn't even instruct or correct the models' walk or anything else. And everyone needed correction and constructive criticism in some way. She totally tried to kill time and was so unprepared each class. We decided to skip the class and practice on our own time. They hardly ever have jobs and NOT worth signing under. I wish I would never got involved with this SCAM agency, but rather another more professional, HONEST agency.
