Usually regulars will tie extra poop bags to the fence and bring bottles of water. Because this park is a sump, garbage can sometimes wind up at the bottom of the park, but it's maintained weekly and is usually pretty clean for a dog park. The one thing this place NEEDS desperately is more signage about the rules. Last Sunday, July 11, 2021 we arrived around 8am and found a group of about 20 boys and 4 coaches having football practice. Usually I wouldn't mind this type of thing and welcome the socialization for the dogs, but the kids were not properly talked to about respecting the dog park. One of the boys opened the fence gate and let both of my dogs out, who of course then bolted out into the busy street. I feel that this could have been avoided if there were proper signs about closing the fence and being mindful of the dogs. Especially because this dog park is just the small fenced in area of a larger park, I feel like they could play anywhere and dogs really just have this one spot.

It was great to see it a buzz with a large family gathering bumping good tunes, individuals escaping the heat in a similar fashion to myself, and folks taking pictures. It's cool to see the city continue to invest into this park with the pickle ball courts and upgrades being done for the pavilion. I need to come back to get some time on those pickle ball courts!

This is our second year trying to make AYSO work and we are not coming back for a third…read more It's not what it used to be 20 years ago when I played. Poor communication from organizers. So many ridiculous requests for teams in order to go on to the championship tournament at the end of the season. It's not based off of merit, but rather which teams paid $200 in "sponsors" and who had the most volunteers. The end of year tournament should be earned by how the kids played, not bought. The organization wants so much money and our time, yet the kids don't get medals or trophies at the end of their season. They get cheap, sheer uniforms that all look the same. Teams also seem to be stacked. Two years in a row there are teams comprised of only "older" aged kids for the bracket. Teams where the kids have experience and know each other. Then you have teams comprised of all "younger" end of the age bracket with no experience. That's not random. Same with the "AllStar" league. It's all about who you know apparently.

If you are looking for your child to learn any fundamentals of the game I highly recommend you pay…read morefor club or go to a more experienced league because this one is a joke! I played AYSO all my life as a kid and NEVER in my life was it this bad. Not only is it unorganized, but provides the worst coach's that just get asked to sign up as a volunteer! Back in the day the coaches and refs were paid! This company has become a s*** show. The first practice the volunteer coach asks do you think we should tell the kids to not pick up the ball with their hands? Like are you serious? My kid will be 8, and if you think I paid $285 dollars which is more then double the amount it used to be for him to roll all over the grass, pick flowers and just maybe not pick up the ball then please continue running the organization like this. Parents are going to be pissed off and you are going to loose a lot of business. Soccer is a physical sport and teaches skill. Regardless of where we all start there is a reason you are teaching the kids how to play the fundamentals of the game. It goes hand and hand with other cognitive skills. It just goes to show the way this world is going. And just to be clear if I could give ZERO stars I would but sadly that isn't an option. I left after the second week of practice because I couldn't make my child go back to that ridiculousness. I can't embarrass him like that. I received a zero refund by the way. Please rethink this league!
