If your child has any special needs, the are centers in the area that cost more, but will accommodate. This center explicitly told us they were not "equipped" to deal with any special needs and that it was not a good fit. I agreed, it was not a good fit. We are now at Kids R Kids and are very happy.

My daughter was in the Director's office with her teacher when she fell off a chair (I still don't know the truth about what actually happened) but that wasn't my biggest concern because she was okay. The issue was that the write up by the Director was initially one scribbled sentence I could barely read. I was angered and offended all at once. I never saw the Director so I passed on a message to have the incident report re written. Long story short, I had to send it back two more times before I received a copy that was the "truth" of my daughters fall. Now that my kids are no longer there, I am sharing this message to show that there is a lack of honesty and respect at Morrisville Creative Schools. I can attest to the other comment about the temperature in the one year old classroom because there were several days where the room was muggy and warm during drop off. There was ONE teacher that kept us at MCS who is headed out. She was absolutely PHENOMENAL!!!! My 3 year old was sounding out words and felt confident about reading. She incorporated "show and tell" so that the kids would be comfortable speaking in front of an audience. I can't speak enough about her! The turn over rate for kids and staff is increasing and I have no doubt that management plays a part in this. There needs to be some kind of training to help this school. Lastly, the cameras are a great asset. However, the system didn't work for us when we had a concern. We sat in the office with the Director for 1.5hrs for NOTHING because the records were not accurate and the cameras will only pick up 7 day's worth of footage (which includes weekends). I asked the owner to increase the amount of time of retrieval but I was not made aware that it was actually done. Good luck with this one!

With only a few months remaining in his school year we started kumon with Miss Lan Ye and Miss Karen. It has been incredible the progress he has made. His reading and sight word recognition improved dramatically. He has now progressed to first grade and is reading at an exemplary level. In addition he is now taking math and has quickly mastered addition problem solving. Their program has been just what we needed to get our son off to the right start! Thank you Lan Ye!

We have been there for 3 years now, and they have made continuous improvements to the school. We love the team there, and their supportive attitude of the mix of neurodivergent students. They have a part-time counselor there who is an intern from NCSU. Tuition is high because class sizes are kept small to provide individualized attention. Friends of Trilogy is the support side of the school (this PTA) which assists in creating community and assists parents in their Trilogy journey including how to fud their student's education. I can't say enough good things about the school and want to give a shout out to Ann Ashby who is beyond amazing.

Being…read morea former student of AoPS, I know just about all that students go through: from a welcome greeting at the front desk to a joyous farewell by their teacher, AoPS is truly all that any student could ask for. All classes are packed with plenty of humor to satisfy one while still learning useful skills. I just have to say that Mr. Matthew Smith and Ms. Katie Doles are two very great teachers that I would recommend. Simply put, AoPS does not believe in the philosophy that a student can learn just by having a textbook placed in front of them. No, a student must learn through appropriate engagement and interaction. For example, a 5th-grade language arts student can expect to relive the Titanic sinking in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean (and also learn more about the White Star Line) while also flying high into the air to discover the tragic death of Amelia Earhart. And there is no right or wrong answer, as students can form their own assumptions! Simply put, AoPS is super fun and I hope readers will be propelled into the AoPS family by this review!

The test they let us take home to learn further was well done. In fact, all the curriculum we have seen from Art of Problem solving, the math publisher, including the Beast Academy math curriculum for grades 2-5 is top notch. We homeschool so ended up embracing the curriculum ourselves rather than signing up for a year at Art of Problem Solving, but I have never been so impressed with math curriculum as we were with Beast Academy 2 to 5 - the guide books (a.k.a. comic book style text books my kids loved to role play), the practice books (a.k.a. workbooks for each chapter with increasingly challenging math problems that make you think and really get math logically, not just bang out calculations), and then the Beast Academy online portion. My kids range in age from 22 (a college grad computer science major from a highly selective university) to a 20 year old intended math major on full merit scholarship at another highly selective university, on down to 8 years old. My 8 and 10 year old are doing this curriculum and adore it. I considered being a math major but have learned new ways to think about math and numbers. We are picky consumers, but loved this so much, we think every family should try it - your kids will learn to love math if they don't already, and we should be spokespeople for this awesome company and curriculum.

But do NOT send your kids here for middle school and high school. Thales has extremely poor curriculums, space, and funding for the JH/HS. Specifically on the Cary campus. While I spent my time at Thales each year there would be a significant amount of staff leaving the school. Every year almost all of the teachers would be new. The reason why is because the school is in so much debt that they are making budgets cuts to teacher salary. While also using a building that is so small for the students. For reference, there are not many kids at the school at all. There is 10 freshmen, 5 juniors, 6 seniors, 13 sophomores. But yet the hallways are always crammed with such a small amount of kids because the buildings they chose to have were not mean't to have a school in. My senior year, there wasn't enough staff due to them all leaving, so me and my friends were eating lunch on gym bleachers everyday, since there is no cafeteria, and there wasn't enough teachers to have us eat in one of there classrooms. Thales academy is a 7,000 dollar a year school, but you could get a much better experience at any other public school. DO NOT send your kids here, look for a different private or charter school as an alternative. This school is atrocious.
