We had a great time doing the stolen relic room. They give you an option to ask for clues or have them given to you as you get stuck or close to time running out. The room was done well with excellent theming and atmosphere. The place was clean and most items in good condition. I loved that they had hand sanitizer available as well in the room. We had three newbies in our party but everyone was able to contribute and had fun. I would come back to try different rooms. We did The Gate with our group family of 4 and omg we had soooo much fun!! It was mysterious and interactive. The lady at the desk and guiding us was extremely helpful and interactive. She made sure we had the best time. I don't want to give any spoilers, but we definitely had a blast. My crew had done escape rooms before, but never won. But this was challenging but definitely doable. I highly recommend. I guess my ONLY complaint would be I wish the time slot was a little longer than 60 minutes, that way we could use less clues. But all in all it was a great experience! read more

Themescape's name is apt, as its rooms are highly themed and aim to take you on an escape from your daily reality. The now-retired game Sector X offered spectacle: a chamber with clues only illuminated by a hand crank, a bookshelf full of gooey specimens from space and a creature nestled up in a creepy, pulsating cocoon. Their newest game, The Terminal, puts players at the control station of a 1980's New York subway. Consistent with Themescape's tradition of adventure games, Terminal is more task-based than puzzle-ridden, but plays smoothly. The props and decor have a transformative effect, not the least of which being the authentic graffiti tagging and visual scavenging. Stolen Relic is much harder than The Terminal, but not impossible for the average team to crack. The game begins in the study of a crazed Anthropologist and challenges you to follow his breadcrumb trail of clues that lead to the relic. Rummaging his study is full of surprises and it's well-designed to give you positive feedback as you progress through the game. I personally enjoyed the strategically placed jump scare, and the final stage of the game, which again upholds Themescape's penchant for adventure. read more

I got the pleasure of getting to go here for a holiday party for work yesterday, and it was amazing!!! I've been to a couple of escape rooms, they're always fun, but this place really puts in lots of extra effort and it shows. The atmosphere of the building before you even go into the room is phenomenal, it's contemporary and mysterious, and the staff are immensely helpful and friendly!! The particular room we had was tough, in a great way! Interesting plot, lots of hard to find clues, easy to get help when you're stuck, and everything is incredibly immersive! We had an amazing time trying to solve it, we all decided we want to come back and do more; overall, this place is radical!!! read more

Very impressed with this place! A group of five of us came to do the Catacombs room and we loved it. Firstly, I really appreciated the orientation before we got started. They went through the rules and explained everything thoroughly before we went in, which is a nice preparation, especially for people unfamiliar with escape rooms. Secondly, the room itself was genius. Everything lent itself to the theme, down to the smallest detail, and the puzzles were intricate and well-thought-out. It was tricky enough to be challenging, but not so difficult that we felt lost. The puzzles developed in a way that told a story and everything went together, nothing seemed out of place or irrelevant. Whoever designs the rooms here is an expert! My friends and I will definitely be coming back to this place to try new rooms as they make new ones. Would recommend to everyone, first-timers and old pros alike! read more

UPDATE - as I mentioned in my previous review, they were going to be adding a new room to replace their previous space theme. Once again, it did not disappoint! This new room was creative and fun, I seriously felt like Ripley in Alien. You can tell they pride themselves on the creativity and the logic behind their rooms and their puzzles. Just did the stolen relic room. A++++ this is our 3rd excape room and we were impressed. I would recommend a full party if 6 it does help. But 4 is sufficient if necessary. The props were good. The voice on the phone could be just a tad louder and slower but otherwise great room, we didn't win, just barely missed it. However I'd rather not win and have fun than finish too soon and be disappointed. read more

For my 10th escape room, and my friends first, we did The Gate and I have to say, all in all, the experience was just amazing all way round. I will review the room itself in a second but I have to give major props to the Game Master on Saturday who really made it and created an experience where my friends are already talking about doing more rooms. As far as escape room businesses go, its a solid 5/5 no question. Now, the room itself. I have to give the room (in its current state) a 4/5. Themescape really prides themselves on the immersion and design of their rooms and they 100% live up to that on this room. The room design is beyond amazing. The set design. The sound effects. The puzzles themselves left something to be desired. Several of the puzzles were incredibly frustrating in their design with either no user feedback that you were doing the right thing or required pretty large leaps of logic to solve that when we got clues on the solution, left us going "how were we supposed to figure that out". For some of the puzzles, better cluing would go a long way. Good ideas but could use better execution. Once we got past the hurdles the game truly came alive in the second half and we were able to finish the room with 6 minutes left on the clock. An ugly win, but a win! I again have to give props to the game master who asked for feedback and when we were very critical of certain elements of the room, was very receptive explaining they were looking to fine tune the room and improve on certain things. The people at Themescape truly want their escape rooms to be the best they can be and want the experience to be fun. They got 2 more rooms that I'm sure I'll be back before long to try. read more

My group and I escaped both Terminal and Relic. The production value in this establishment is amazing! The rooms contain much more than just puzzles and locks. The engineering is top notch and we were fortunate enough to meet the owner who is extremely passionate about his craft and it shows. I will be recommending Themescape to ALL my friends. read more

We had SO much fun on our son's 18th birthday! Our son turned 18 this year and we really wanted to do something memorable for him. We booked half a room for him and three of his friends. When one more friend called and said they wanted to join we were going to add to the reservation but another group of four had booked up the remaining slots. The owner was so amazing she was able to get us a new time slot and accommodate ALL of our party. The room was so much fun and while we didn't solve the room we did actually unlock all of the clues. It was fun to try and 'out solve' the young men. Production quality was really good!
